Buzzard also has a rustic indoor loo (close to daytime spaces.) Shared games/pool/music room with a piano and guitars. Homegrown vege and eggs often available from the organic smallholding. Welcome to join in with growing, harvesting, juicing, preserving, cooking, egg collection etc. Detox and unwind from the digital world - though you'll find wi-fi /ethernet cable in daytime spaces😉 Wild swimming in our natural swimming pond, which has a selection of kayaks and boards. This is a place to feel connected to the land and to completely let go of all the pressures of modern living. Jan is passionate about bio diversity and I loved walking up to the yurt, brushing past lavender and sage and wild flowers full of bees and butterflies, picking an apple on the way - and having it for breakfast whilst looking over a most glorious sunrise view from Buzzard Yurt. Then a walk in the woods and chilling in the hammock reading and soaking up the birdsong and the sound of the buzzard up above. At night - lying on the deck looking up at a starry sky and sitting round the fire toasting marshmallows. A truly relaxing and healing few days. Thank you Jan.

Wow, wow, wow. So we had a fantastic time at Kingfisher Yurt, relaxing under the Oak and Ash trees. Swimming pond was perfect. Yurt was really comfortable and the kitchen was fab for dining and playing games, We hired the hot tub, which was also lovely. Jan was a perfect host. We shall be back.

Had a really nice time at Rocombe Valley Retreat, Elliot was very welcoming on arrival, the bell tent was great and comfortable. The site was quiet and clean and they had a lot of essentials there ready to use in the shared kitchen, including a fridge/freezer to store food in. Wood fired hot tub was a nice treat to top it off.

The yurt was lovely, although on the small side for our family of 5. The shared kitchen was well equipped, and we very much enjoyed meeting all the other campsite guests. There are a few activities on site, which was really enjoyable for the kids: jeu de boules, darts, football golf and a swing. It's a good location to visit Eden Project, Discovery 42 (hands-on science museum in Bodmin), and beaches.

2 nights at Lower Marlpits Farm Campsite

Lavender Lodge was well equipped with some lovely touches for your stay and comfortable. The deck and firepit face great views and watching the sunset was pretty special. The shower/toilet facilities are located nearby and always clean and tidy. The farm is in a great location with Sidmouth and Lyme Regis within an easy 20 minute drive. Sam was lovely and made sure I had all I needed.

We loved our stay at Buzzard Yurt! Jan was super friendly and helpful, and the kids loved the trampoline, the pond, the hot tub, feeding the chickens, picking the eggs and just everything the lovely campsite had to offer. It was such a good break from the bustle of city life and we cannot wait to return. The night skies were delightful with a sky full of stars and hardly any light pollution anywhere near us, and our days were filled with adventure and nature at the camp. Jan's campsite is conveniently located to lots of lovely sights - Beer, Seaton, Lyme Regis. A perfect break!

Fantastic stay, Baby bear yurt was a treat to stay in for the few days I was there & the internal log burner made for warm nights even when the weather wasn’t great. Set amongst stunning terrain & close to major landmarks makes this a great base of operations for exploration.

Weekend Trip to Rocombe Valley Retreat

We had a wonderful stay at Rocombe Retreat surrounded by a plethora of birds, sheep, cattle and the luling of running water into the lake. Eliott was very helpful,-not only with practical advice on site but was also able to sign post us to local attractions. The farmer (sorry we forgot his name).was very accommodating and gave us a snapshot of his daily life. We were very fortunate to see the weighing in from the fishing competition that took place on site. Truly amazing fishermen in the area! It really felt like home away from home. We will definetley recommend and will visit again.
