I have always loved Sweet Hill Farm. It’s a lovely relaxed campsite with sea views and amazing walks nearby. Also, being able to have a camp fire is fantastic. The showers are brilliant too.
The only disappointment for me this year is that the compost loos have been replaced with horrible portaloos! Please bring back compost loos, they are so much nicer!

This was my first time camping here and I will definitely return again.
Whilst SatNav got me most of the way, the directions on Hipcamp made the last little bit of the journey much easier.
I was welcomed warmly at the well-stocked little cafe, and given a map to show my how to get to the field I pitched in. The tracks on-site are full of large potholes - so definitely something to be mindful of, especially if you have extremely low-suspension on your car! However, take it slow and easy and all is well here.
I had the most amazing view, from where I pitched up, over to Portland Bill lighthouse. Both sunset and sunrise were stunning.
Facilities here are extremely basic - but it’s enough for those that simply need to get away from life for a while and sleep under the stars without all the creature comforts of home. Of course, there is a place for being able to have all the mod-cons available, but this is camping the way it should be done!
I wasn’t here long enough to speak to any of the other campers, but everyone seemed relaxed and there was no loud music or anything played into the night, meaning I could drift to sleep easily enough at the end of the day.

What a great experience! The staff were very friendly and accommodating with an amazing ray of amenities.

This was my first time ever camping and I had a great time at this site, it's the perfect mix of rural, real camping with local amenities near enough especially for someone doing camping for the first time. Located right near the coast, it's a beautiful view, excellent facilities including showers and cafe. The only downside is that when I did arrive in the evening there was no one to greet us, even though the cafe should've been open at that time but other than that no complaints, wonderful hosts and would definitely go again.

Spacious enough for our 4 person tent, plenty of shelter, safe for open fire during this really dry weather. We were left alone by the site team. Beautiful area with good access to beaches, interesting settlements and good river for swimming.

Great cafe with some lovely cakes.
We had booked a sauna which was amazing the ice bath was fantastic.
Fantastic views of Portland Bill and straight onto the coast path from the campsite

We had a lovely welcome from Charlotte and some of her family. The site is amazing, lots of fields to suit everyone’s needs.
We had a sauna one night which was fabulous and the sauna/ well-being area is beautifully cared for by Daniel who is a brilliant sauna host.
The view from the camping fields is amazing, Portland Bill and the wildness of the countryside including the farm’s horses was lovely to wake up to every morning
We were lucky enough to have music on one night, which was great fun
Would definitely recommend and looking forward to a return trip.

2 nights at Sweet Hill Farm
The site has communal bathrooms for both men and women and very convenient sinks for dishes. Despite having beautiful animals like horses, sheep, and goats, it's very clean and doesn't smell bad. It has beautiful views of the sea, and the people who serve the coffee and sell firewood are very kind. The showers are chargeable (£1 for 3 minutes), and the cold water ones are outside, unprotected, like the ones on the beach; there's no direct access to the sea.

The campsite is beautifully located, close to the cliffs and the sea and surrounded by fields full of horses. It’s very relaxed and friendly and especially great if you like riding given the onsite equestrian facilities. Not far from Weymouth and if you need anything you can get it in Portland.

My daughter (5) and I stayed for two nights and it was perfect for us. There was plenty of space for pitches so you didn’t feel on top of each other, and the facilities were great. Clean showers, charging points and the toilets were kept cleaned. It was a short walk to sunset views on the cliffs. And my daughter enjoyed a fab horse ride too, booked through the equestrian centre attached to the site. I have already recommended to friends and we will be back too!

Absolutely perfect weekend! We stayed on The Lordship which is a beautiful and spacious pitch supplied with a grill and kettle. It has it's own compost loo and bucket shower which was lovely. Chloe is very nice and attentive! Highly recommend staying here if you are looking for magical time.

The location was absolutely perfect. Everything and more that I thought it would be.
I had a little woodland to myself as no one else was camping in the other two pitches, however, even if there was, the space in between was more than enough so you wouldn't even see each other at all.
Near to my pitch there was a loo and a shower to hand.
It was the perfect place for time away from everything.
Chloe was on hand, just a message away and reacted promptly to any questions.

We had a beautiful camping trip, toilet and shower very basic but fine for us as we aren’t fussy. Chloe and her husband were very helpful. The greyhound site is perfect for a large group and it is beautiful and surrounded by nature, we loved listening to all the birds in the morning. It’s a perfect place for some time offline and relaxing. Water being back by the carpark is a bit of a nightmare but aware there is nothing you can do to change that, would just recommend people to bring water with them.
Only thing I would say is the site definitely needs more signage on where to go as the orange arrows aren't very clear and maybe should have a warning that the tank training is nearby as we were caught off guard by the very loud bangs until 2am! (Aware you wouldn’t know when they are training but a warning that it might happen would be good)

An absolutely magical campsite. Staying here felt like a true escape from the world, the pitches are so well spread out that it feels like you have the whole place to yourself. With no cars the kids were able to be wild and free, they loved playing on the big swing exploring the woods. The compost loo and bucket shower are positioned on the pitch so that they felt really secluded, which was great, as before arriving I was a little worried that there was a risk that other campers would be able to see us, but that wasn't the case at all. This felt as close to nature as can be, but with just enough of the comforts to make it easy! I would thoroughly recommend a stay here.
