Amazing stay with beautiful views. The tent is equipped with everything you need and beds are comfortable. The environment is very calm and pizza night really is a success, not only the pizza's are very nice but you get to know the other people staying - amazing if you have kids as they start playing together. My family and I loved the campsite. We were 10 people: 7 adults and 3 5-year-old children. We chose one of the private sites and brought 4 tents. The site was large and private. We enjoyed 3 nights there and plan to return sometime soon. We cooked over a lovely campfire, which the kids loved. They also went canoeing one morning, completing a fascinating trip.

We had a wonderful time here, with a beautiful seaside view and the added bonus of catching the sunset in a truly special way. The facilities were excellent – clean toilets, hot showers, and the option to buy a bundle of logs and a fire pit, which made the evenings extra enjoyable. It was also nice to have plenty of space between pitches, giving us a relaxed and comfortable stay. Everyone we met was very friendly and helpful, which added to the experience. The only downside was the mobile network coverage – it only worked when we were close to the facilities, but there was no signal at the pitch itself, so it’s good to be prepared for that. Other than that, everything was perfect. Definitely 5 stars from us. Thank you, South Dean Camping, for having us – we’re already looking forward to returning!Dani & Alex

I stayed in Gosels as a private pitch and absolutely loved it. The campsite was perfect blend of eco/modern (compostable/flushable toilets and hot showers) within a tranquil setting. I liked how the campsite was used in a traditional sense for escape keeping noise and disturbance down to a minimum. The quarry lake was a great area for a splash around and cool down. Though used heavily by young families, had enough space for all. I already miss my chicken and rabbit friends seen daily on my pitch. The location of the site was perfect for me to make some visits out to North Cornwalls surrounding beaches and beauty spots. Well worth the trip.

The view is spectacular and the site has easy access to coastal walkways and Heddon's Mouth. Great toilet/shower and washing up facilities - clearly well thought out and maintained. Will likely be back - it was also cool to go see the alpacas. We didn't stay here for the peak of the Perseids - but the night after and it was great star and meteor gazing! Be mindful that the campsite is very open so it gets the wind! We had a teepee type tent (we were just car tripping around) and it was not suitable for wind exposure but nothing wild just to keep in mind!
