This peaceful, sheltered site has a special character. The site is the ideal place to unwind with plenty of safe space, a meandering river and friendly atmosphere. It offers 4 acres with facilities, 7 acres of wilderness, shower block, level pitches, picturesque river, children’s playground and has been rated AA 4 star gold pennant. Becky and John both love Cornwall and fell in love with the site as soon as they saw it and it provided the perfect opportunity for a new challenge. Having only recently taken over at Willow Valley in the Summer of 2024, there are always ongoing improvements being made so make sure you keep in touch. Any returning campers will be glad to know we aren’t changing the campsite itself though. Why would we when it is already so perfect!

Share your space with hares, deer, foxes, owls, songbirds, field voles, bees and butterflies. The views from the fields are a well kept local secret - from your tent or van look out over Hartland, Lundy island, Saunton, Croyde, Exmoor and Dartmoor, even Pembrokeshire on a clear day! FACILITIES: In keeping with our low impact approach, the fields are just fields, but with the addition of some picnic benches! A flushing toilet, drinking water, hot shower, charging and WiFi are found by the farmhouse. BBQs and fires permitted off the ground and we have fire pits for loan and logs for sale. Please pack out all rubbish and leave NO trace. Dogs welcome under close control - please avoid meadow centres in summer to protect the nesting skylarks and ensure they do NOT chase the wildlife. ACCESS: Easily accessible by 4WD, and 2WD in summer/when dry. Be aware it's a grassy uphill track, if your vehicle is not great off-road... (but everyone so far has been fine!) The views are worth the walk though! Campervans have backup options lower down near the house. THE SITE: Nature spot, relax and stargaze across our 4 fields. We recently planted 800 trees for a new woodland, created a wildlife pond, and are establishing a traditional cider orchard. Rose looks after our vegetable garden and usually has some native breed piglets. Our apiary is managed by Jon who will happily explain about bees... and sell you a jar of honey for breakfast. Note - the area is agricultural with very occasional farm noise and odour. We are pleased to be a South West Coast Path Waymaker, and welcome walkers. The tent was bigger than I imagined, very sheltered and private. Loved the considerations to the environment, the compost loos, solar panels. Great communication when I enquired about firewood. Easy access to Coverack, great coastal walks and swimming beaches nearby. Would highly recommend.

We had such a wonderful two-night stay at Elm Farm with two friends and our two dogs. The location was absolutely perfect, just a short drive to lots of beautiful beaches, with Porthtowan being a real highlight for us as it brought back childhood memories of visiting. The facilities at Elm Farm were excellent and made our stay really comfortable. The hosts were so welcoming and attentive, and they went out of their way to give us loads of great recommendations for places to explore nearby. One of the best surprises was discovering their café on the bike hire side, the food was absolutely amazing and not to be missed! We couldn’t have asked for a better base for our trip. We’d definitely recommend Elm Farm to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in a fantastic location, and we’ll certainly be returning.

Lovely campsite, the pods look like Tellytubby Land! It's a bit of a walk into Bude probably 40mins but the park and ride is almost opposite the site and very reasonable. We stayed in the Tree House, it was comfy and clean. It has a kettle, microwave, toaster, BBQ and fridge which is so convenient. Would recommend taking your usual cooking kit as there are plates, mugs, bowls and glasses but not pots and pans or stove. I might also take a picnic table if you like to sit in the sun as the seating area is shady. No curtains means you need a sleep mask if you like a dark room but I loved waking up to the sight of a blue sky. Would also recommend a torch for going up and down the steps at night.

Weekend Trip to Higher Waytown Farm Camping

We have been camping for over 25 years now and this is by far the best campsite we have stayed on . This is due to the lovely and welcoming owners . The largest pitch we have ever stayed on with outstanding views . The dogs being able to be off the lead on your pitch . We didn’t need to move the van off the site as the South West Coastal path was a 15 minute walk away . One day we walked to Peppercombe beach then the next day we walked in the other direction to Bucks Mills . We honestly didn’t want to go home as it was so peaceful and relaxing there. Before we left I bought 3 jars of their own honey and two jars are meant for Christmas presents but it’s so delicious that it might not make it !!!! We will definitely go back and also tell our friends about this wonderful site.

Lovely campsite. Amazing views with so much space as only 3 pitches. Shower was an added bonus and flushing toilet, all very clean and well looked after. Great attention to detail on all aspects of the site. Rose and Jon were such lovely hosts. We stayed 2 nights but would have loved to stay more. Close to the costal path and 15 mins walking distance to The Hoops pub. Delicious home grown honey that can be bought. Can’t fault anything.

3 pitches on a hillside field the size of 2 football pitches sums up the space on this site. That coupled with the sea & coastal views, make a stay here unforgettable. A beautiful place with stunning views. So much space between the pitches that it’s pretty close to a wild camping experience. Gorgeous wild flowers around the site that make the space feel considered without feeling overly manicured. We forgot our air bed and Rose was so helpful in lending us some cushions to sleep on. 100% recommend and I hope to be back soon.

Relatively close for a camping site to lots of local amenities and all of the wonderful opportunities that Croyde, Saunton and Wollacombe offer for jut getting out there and calling. The campsite is well maintained and good value. Steve is so knowledgeable and informative and will guide you through what to do and see.

Such a lovely campsite! Great facilities with thoughtful extra touches like the free tea and coffee in the morning and marshmallows on skewers handed out in the evening. Pitches are spacious and semi private with long grass left to grow in between pitches. We also had our own tap! Close to lots of beaches and castles.
