Weekend Trip to Riverside Restful Relaxing Campsite

We really enjoyed our stay. Andy was very friendly and helpful, even to the point of rescuing us when our car broke down! Lovely riverside pitch where we saw lots of birds, including a kingfisher and a heron. Very peaceful, would definitely stay again.

Another fab, quiet couple of nights getting back to nature, it was pleasant to see the Ten Tors training happening. We had gorgeous weather, took a walk up the Dam and very much spent the rest of our time relaxing and cooking on the fire.

3 nights at Sweet Hill Farm

Sweet Hill Farm is a great little spot. The views are what really make this camping spot - waking up every morning to the sea, Portland Bill Lighthouse and the horses in the field. We stayed in our van so had all we needed, but the site has toilets (port-a-loos), water for drinking and washing up and new shower blocks. There is a food and drink hut that offers fresh coffee, baked goods and cakes too. Family fun, friendly and part of an equestrian farm, there's also lots of other lovely animals happy in their habitat. A great campsite and perfect base for exploring the area and the coastal walks on offer :).

What an absolute gem! 💎 The site is beautiful, only a short walk to Portland Light house via a costal walk. Staff were friendly and really helpful and so was the beautiful owners dog. Our plans were to venture out to watch the rugby, but the on site shop and everything we needed, and decided to stay on site and admire the view. Ee can’t wait to visit again with the kids ( lovely play area and animals to look at) Showers were perfect and HOT ! We think we have found our “go to” site, and can’t wait to come back ♥️

Loved the campsite. Very relaxed and chilled. Basically facilities but awesome views and rustic which I prefer Arrived late on the first night and did find it hard to find my pitch in the dark. Someone else had pinched my hook up but I managed to find an alternative so all good

If you want real off grid wild camping this is the place. A beautiful location and superb countryside. It was cloudy when we stayed but I would imagine it would be perfect for dark skies and astrophotography We will definitely be back, thank you.

Me and my partner pitched our camper-van at Will & Catherine's despite it being off season and they were amazingly accommodating! We had the entire campsite to ourselves and watched both sunset and sunrise by the sea. Truly wonderful and wholesome experience :)
