This wild coastal retreat (Raftra Retreat) is open from May til September, with accommodation for 2 in a converted shipping container in May and September, and with an added 6 metre bell tent in June, July & August making it accommodate 4 people during those months. The Retreat is in a secluded corner of a 3 acre meadow with sea views and direct footpath access to several stunning coves. The meadow is left to grass and wildflowers, cut once a year in June or July for organic hay. It is visited regularly by badgers, foxes and red deer, and it's a great spot to see hunting barn owls and raptors, swallows....and bats! It's a fantastic place for star-gazing too! Many guests don't use their car once they're here....there are so many walks right from the gate to some of the most breathtaking coastline in Britain. If you like sea-swimming, nature photography, bird-watching, rock-clambering, or just fire-cooking and romantic nights under the stars, you'll love it! We are a little haven in the middle of farmland, so please be aware that whilst most of the time it is very peaceful here, there are times when you can hear farm noises.

Richard is such a nice guy and goes out of his way to help, including helping us with our electric hook up. The site has really lovely views and was very peaceful. We had a really great, relaxed visit. Close to dog beaches and bouldering at Helman’s Tor. We also really enjoyed the eggs! Definitely recommend if you want peace and quiet with a view

6 nights at Camp De Lank Cornwall

Went here for our first time camping and it was perfect! We didn’t spend much time at the campsite but the facilities were great (set the bar high for future campsites!) and it’s located so well for seeing nearly all of Cornwall. It’s a small campsite but we got a nice quiet spot at the end next to the tipis which weren’t being used. Would definitely go back ☺️

Great camping site. Facilities, while basic, were kept very clean. Lots of space from other campers and tucked down a secluded lane in beautiful Cornwall. The dozen eggs that were delivered when we checked in was great too! I’d recommend. Check out The Crown pub close by for a delicious meal.

This was everything we wanted from this trip, pretty central for the things we wanted to do. The site was well maintained and the facilities were very clean and well stocked with consumables. The water was always hot and drinking water on site was great. We would definitely stay there again.

I really enjoyed my stay at The Camping Field and will definitely be back! Richard is a very friendly host who is happy to give recommendations and lent me some tools when I needed them! The loos and shower are super clean and pleasant to use. I definitely would recommend this campsite!
