Our beautiful home is a glamping and camping site with its own gorgeous fishing lake on the outskirts of the village of Llandyfan. You can find us to the west of the Brecon Beacons or Bannau Brycheiniog National Park.
Llandyfan Campsite has been lovingly re-established in early 2024 by Andy and Jo. Since taking ownership, we have rolled up our sleeves and got stuck into restoring it to its former glory and will soon be back to being a fully operational slice of Welsh heaven.
Our first focus has been the fishing lake which we opened in March. The campsite followed in May. We are currently working on electric hook ups and other improvements.
We have chickens on site that roam free during the day. They are friendly and like to wander around the tents to say hello to our guests!
We would like everyone who visits to have a great time and a relaxing break. Whilst here please be considerate towards others, to their property, and while using the facilities. If you have any concerns, please let us know.
We have brought out a few rules from our T&Cs and we kindly ask that you have a read through before your stay.
Litter:
You must pick up your litter. Please either take it with you or recycle it appropriately in the bins onsite. There are bins around the campsite, please recycle where possible.
Pitches to be left as you found them.
Noise:
Be respectful and consider your neighbours. Keep noise to a minimum after 10pm and before 8am in the morning.
No loud music is to be played at any time.
Children:
Children must be supervised at all times around the campsite and can play within the pitch space allocated to you. At quiet times, it may be possible for children to use vacant pitches for play but this cannot be guaranteed. The amenity block and associated facilities are not to be used as a play area.
Dogs:
Must not to be left unattended.
Are to be kept on leads at all times whilst on the campsite. (We are working on an enclosed dog walking area, however this is not yet available).

As our guest, you'll enjoy exclusive access to all areas, including the spacious hut measuring 8ft tall, 8ft wide, and 18ft long. Unwind on the deck equipped with camp kitchen facilities, and refresh in the enclosed shower. THere's an eco-friendly toilet. Guests often rave about the superb shower experience and the powerful water pressure.
The hut is well-insulated, and we offer plenty of blankets and hot water bottles to keep you warm during cooler nights.
Experience the rich biodiversity of our surroundings, from finches to robins, buzzards to cranes, and various small mammals. Keep your eyes peeled for regular sightings of otters, water voles, and weasels, immersing yourself in the wonders of nature.
Attention to detail is paramount to us, ensuring your stay is a seamless blend of relaxation and rejuvenation. Discover numerous cozy spots to unwind, read a book, indulge in outdoor dining, or simply bask in the soothing sounds of the nearby woodland stream flowing through our ponds.

If you're looking for a peaceful & private retreat, this hidden gem is the perfect place to stay. We were warmly welcomed by Evie and daughter as soon as we arrived, even though it was a very wet & windy evening. Cottage Orne is cosy & comfortable with great views. Only natural sounds were to be heard including owls. After a day out walking with the dog in the beautiful surrounding countryside, it was lovely to be able to return & sit out on the decking, relax and warm yourself around the firepit. The fairy lights added a magical touch. The fenced cottage garden is ideal for those with dogs and having the freedom to access the extensive grounds was an unexpected treat. Cedar cabin was absolutely immaculate it was nice and cozy on a hill which gave it the best view! The lake is incredibly stunning and filled with fish! My son also went fishing there and sadly had his fishing rod pulled in by a fish but the next morning the host went and found it. The host was so kind and welcoming 5/5 stars would highly recommend!

We stayed at Cottage Orne for the August bank holiday weekend and so glad we booked it. Evie was amazing and always available if needed and our kids loved playing with the new puppies. The cottage itself was perfect for a long weekend away and catered for our family of 4 with no problems. If we are ever back in the area, I'm sure we will be back to stay.

3 nights at The Secret Garden
I travelled with two older grandsons. We were delighted with the space and facilities. I’m from that area but had no idea that this Secret Garden was there!
A pullout bed made sleeping for 3 adults possible. Nice little shower room and cooking equipment good. Outside seating area and hot tub were wonderful. We made fires each night and sat out late with hot chocolate to see the stars.
Fun swing (log on a rope) was enjoyed by all of us. The boys were surprised and delighted as was I
Sheryl communicated by message and was so helpful. The fresh eggs (option) were delicious.
Hope to return again.

Gorgeous cabin with rolling countryside views.
Private area with large garden.
Hot tub and sauna are a big plus.
Farm is quiet and very close to all North Devon has to offer.
Accommodation is actually very spacious. 4 fit easily in each room.
Highly recommended. We had a fabulous weekend, I could’ve stayed longer.

We had a lovely stay at the Chalet. Hot tub was lovely and warm with music hook up. The chalet was really cosy and nice hot shower. The garden was lovely and my son enjoyed the rope swing, playing with the cat and building a fire. Hope to come again! Crantock beach with free parking for National Trust members is nearby.

Weekend Trip to The Secret Garden
Thanks Sheryl for a beautiful weekend, we had the most special 21st celebrations! The site is great really spacious and the utilities are ideal, meant we could cater for 11 of us. Has everything you’d want with the fire pit and hot tub! Sheryl was great as well, super welcoming and helpful, sorted out any issues we had immediately. Location is sweet too, we walked and bussed into town both were easy. And nice ducks!

Absolutely beautiful place to stay, so scenic, not a single car noise to be heard just the birds and the farm animals.
Couldn’t recommend more for a cozy getaway, lovely walks around the estate and a short drive to the beach. Host was also super lovely and welcoming.

We stayed as a small family of three in the Cedar Cabin for my birthday and had a great time! The Cabin was cosy, tidy and in a great spot with views down the valley. Andrew helped us settle in and had some recommendations for places to visit. We had the fire pit one night and shamefully we struggled to keep a fire going, so Andrew popped over to help out. With the anglers pond nearby, it was great for bird watching. We will definitely be returning and thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Crackington Haven
Crackington Haven is the scenic culminating point of the South West Coast Path, a popular hike that offers glimpses of sea views from its grassy cliffs. Crackington Haven is also part of the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) that’s revered for its nature-inspired beauty. Visit medieval castles, surfing beaches, and the Crackington Formation. Then spend the night near the path at nearby private campsites and camping parks that offer bathroom access and water hookups for motorhomes.
Bude Canal
Canoe or kayak Bude Canal to enjoy views of pastoral Cornwall. Built in 1823, the canal begins at the sea and stretches for roughly 35 miles between its two locks. Innovative incline planes like Hobbacott Down, the highest incline plane in England, makes Bude Canal a Great Britain novelty. Campsites, holiday parks, and fishing spots are available near the canal as it passes rural sections of the landscape on its way to town.
Tamar Lakes Country Park
A short 20-minute drive from Bude brings visitors to family-friendly Tamar Lakes Country Park. When to go
With its mild maritime climate, Bude attracts campers during all seasons. Daily summer temperatures hover around 16°C. Expect winter temperatures to remain around 6°C. Some campers prefer to visit between June and September when conditions are driest. This is also when the ocean water at the beaches is warmest.
