Escape the hustle and bustle of every day life in our peaceful rural campsite, with spacious grass pitches big enough for you to have lots of private space. Each pitch has a firepit for barbecues, and there is access to composting toilets, a shower block with warm water, and fresh drinking water. Please note there is no electricity on this simple site. Vehicles are not allowed to park on the camping field, but parking is provided a stone’s throw away. Wheelbarrows are provided to help you get your kit from car to tent. Countryside walks and cycle paths lead directly from your pitch. There are several pubs in the local area – the nearest being 10 minutes’ stroll away. We have a tea room on site, open Thursday - Sunday 10am-3pm. We have a shared under cover space and also an outdoor fire-pit to gather more than 20 people comfortably. There is a simple compost loo for your use with hand-washing and dish washing area outside. And the rest is all Mother nature! There is no running water or drinking water. You will need to bring your own. No electricity points or WIFI are in the campsite and no masts nearby so enjoy the EMF cleanse. Whether you chose to stay in the ancient woodland or the herbal pasture, you will feel the benefits of reconnecting with yourself in nature, breathing the clean air and hearing the birds singing. The parking is 800m away and there is minimal tractor use so you can imagine yourself roaming the fields and forest of England in days gone by. Fitness required. We really enjoyed our stay! Lovely campsite, we had the woodlands all to ourselves and enjoyed exploring the local footpaths and seeing the animals on the farm. Our dog loved it! The host Jon was very helpful and insightful with the local area. Will definitely be returning in the future!

Spent a wonderful time there. It's really secluded. I had the whole woods alone. The host is very friendly and helpful. I only missed my family because the place is well equipped for a family. Everything is there what you need to have a comfortable superb time in the nature. The host even provided a saw to be able to use the fallen branches for campfire. I will definitely go back, next time probably with my family. I highly recommend this campsite!

Lovely site. Lots of space between tents. Showers and loos are clean. Josie was very responsive and helpful. We missed their sun downers sadly. Next time. We stayed an extra night we liked it so much. You can hear the road sometimes, but we got used to that. We’ll be back!

Camping feels less crowded and it was very peaceful. The compost toilets and showers were OK too. I like the tearoom which was a few minutes walk from the campsite which served very delicious food.

A beautiful and peaceful campsite. We loved the South Downs setting and appreciated the off lead dog paddock on site as well. It was also really nice to visit the nearby tearooms and enjoy wine and a cheeseboard in the evening. A super dog friendly site and well maintained facilities. We look forward visiting again in the future!

Every detail carefully considered from the horse box showers, ingenious and plenty of space, roomy pitches with butterflies and wild flower boarders, a gem, look forward to visiting again. Prachtige camping met ruime, uitgemaaide plaatsen. ‘S avonds hoorden we de bosuilen. Heel zacht op de achtergrond is de snelweg te horen. Door de week rustig, Engelsen kamperen voornamelijk in het weekend. De pizza en koffie corner is dan ook gesloten door de week. Hout is te koop bij de camping eigenaar. Philip is vriendelijk en positief. Wc en douche is basic zoals meestal op de Britse campings, maar prima.

Great camping site. Plenty of parking and no cars on the pitches (which is excellent). Clean compostable toilets and luxury hot showers. Pitches are super roomy and each has a fire pit available. Lovely tea room nearby at 5 minute walking distance.

Beautiful campsite. Well spaced out pitches with loads of room for big tents and plenty of room for the children to run around without worrying about them bothering other guests. Would recommend the pizzas on Saturday night, too! We’ve stayed at lots of great campsites this summer and this was easily our favourite.

Joise's paddock was great. The pitches were generous and not too close to each other. The grass and pitches were lovely to walk on bare foot. The showers were great. The compost loos were great. Josie was prompt and helpful with text messages. It was a well set-up place. There is a tea room nearby. One side of the paddock is close to a road, so a bit noisy but not bad. There is minimal phone coverage and no wifi, so be prepared for that. We were the only people there when we camped, so it was lovely and quiet!

Beautiful, peaceful, simple campsite. Lovely hot showers and surprisingly clean composting toilets. Getting your stuff from the car to the pitch with a wheelbarrow is easy enough, but there are only 2 so of lots of groups arrive at once you may need to wait a while.
