Glamp or pitch up here in our secluded and peaceful mini off-grid site combining both field and forest.
We have a shared under cover space and also an outdoor fire-pit to gather more than 20 people comfortably. There is a simple compost loo for your use with hand-washing and dish washing area outside. And the rest is all Mother nature! There is no running water or drinking water. You will need to bring your own. No electricity points or WIFI are in the campsite and no masts nearby so enjoy the EMF cleanse.
Whether you chose to stay in the ancient woodland or the herbal pasture, you will feel the benefits of reconnecting with yourself in nature, breathing the clean air and hearing the birds singing. The parking is 800m away and there is minimal tractor use so you can imagine yourself roaming the fields and forest of England in days gone by.
Fitness required. It's a long walk from the car park to the campsite. Trolleys provided.

The Shepherd's Hut at Coombe Farm Glamping is only an hour or so from London and within easy reach of Goodwood, Cowdray and the south coast; yet once you're here, you'll feel as if you've stepped through the back of the wardrobe and into the ancient woodland that surrounds, unimpeded views towards the South Downs and barely another soul around. The hut stands alone in the field, so you will exclusively enjoy the tranquility the land has to offer.
The Hut is equipped with fresh linen and towels, made extra cozy and warm with a beautiful flame and clean burning bio ethanol burner which creates a relaxed ambience, providing amazing heat for the chillier season stay.
The wash area is compact with everything you will need for alfresco catering and dining, including a great camp compressor fridge. We also provide equipment to cook on the ample fire pit for an authentic camp experience. We have a revitalizing, hot and spacious shower, all run from our off grid system. We also provide luxury toiletries.
Our loo is composting, extremely clean and freshly set up for every new guest and in keeping with our off grid, low-fi ethos.
Our family farm, Durleigh Marsh Farm is in Rogate, 5 min drive from Rake or about an hours walk through the woodland south from the hut. The popular Tea room offers a great breakfast and lunch menu. Booking is advisable.
Between the nearby traditional market towns of Petersfield and Haslemere you will discover a diverse choice of places to shop, dine and drink.
The site is encompassed by beautiful walks and trails taking you further into the heart of the South Downs.

Our 17 acre Farm is set deep within the beautiful South Downs National Park on the outskirts of the quiet village of Milland (near Liphook) in rural West Sussex (close to its border with Hampshire and Surrey). We have direct access to an excellent bridleway and footpath network through peaceful open countryside and quiet lanes as well as being on the Serpent Tail and close to the South Downs Way.
Our Glamping Pod and Shepherd's Hut are available to book all year round. We also offer stabling if you would like to take your horses or ponies on holiday with you!

Lovely glamping pod in beautiful woodland surroundings. The pod has everything you need and is very comfortable to stay in. Matt is a great host who is there if you need anything but doesn't intrude on your peace and tranquility unless required. Lovely village nearby, the Rising Sun pub is approx 15 minute walk away serving great food etc if you want a night off cooking. My wife and I would definitely recommend this retreat. Thanks Matt for everything we hope stay again soon

Fantastic. We had the best weekend here. Claire provides everything you could need and more which makes the entire experience so much easier, especially with kids. Bathrooms and tents were really clean, all facilities in great shape. Grounds are beautiful with plenty of big old trees and space to explore. Claire was super kind and helpful and even let our kids hold her ducklings which was a real highlight for them. Would absolutely recommend and hope to return!

We had a brilliant stay at The Barn KT9. It’s even better than the photos. The tents were huge with comfy beds and clean sheets. The room diffuser was a lovely touch. Beautiful views and a relaxing space. The kids really enjoyed finding the different activities you had laid out in the field. The cafe was even better than hoped! Flushable toilets and a gorgeous shower - we will definitely be back! Thank you so much Charlie and family for having us and making us feel so welcome

We had a wonderful stay in the 'Agatha' cabin! Plenty of hot water, gas cooker and all the essentials from fresh milk to coffee provided by Ali - who was so helpful & responsive to our queries. Pre-ordering pizza and fish & chips, as well as a meal at the pub just 5 mins away at The Eyston Arms worked perfectly. Thanks for having us!

Weekend Trip to Hendred Farm Huts
Our shepherd's hut, Dorothy, was lovely. We stayed over the weekend for a wedding in the village. The location of the huts is perfect. Dorothy was kitted out with everything we needed. The nearby pub serves excellent food, and the village shop has essentials and wonderful croissants and pastries for breakfast (pre-order by 5 pm the day before). We had a wonderful stay.

We loved staying at Rolling Fields. The tent was well equipped (kettle, toaster, fridge, three electrical sockets) and thoughtfully laid out, with proper (full sized) beds - one double and a single day bed. It was a home away from home. The play area was an instant success, with climbing frame and trampoline. The play tent was particularly admired.
The site was quiet, just is and people staying in the shepherd's hut, which was perfect.
The private bathroom was very welcome and elevated the glamping experience to new levels.
Each tent has a fire pit with two chairs and a sofa. We cooked on the 'Fire and Dine' fire pit and toasted marshmallows from the embers.
Sitting under the stars around a low fire made for a perfect stay.
I can't fault the place. It was a really great experience. We brought ourselves, clothes, food and torches - everything else we needed was provided.
We will be returning.

We had such a wonderful stay at the shepherd’s hut and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The setting was absolutely gorgeous, especially with the beautiful weather we were lucky enough to have — it made everything feel even more magical and relaxing.
Everything was explained so clearly on arrival, which made settling in really easy and stress-free. The hut itself was spotless, well thought out, and had everything we needed for a cosy and comfortable stay.
One of the highlights was definitely our meal at The Village Pub — it was honestly the best meal of the trip and made the whole experience feel even more special.
We had the best time and would absolutely love to come back again. Such a perfect little escape to the countryside!

We had a wonderful and relaxing break at Little Fleece. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, with thoughtful touches throughout. We especially enjoyed long soaks in the hot tub and walks in the beautiful surrounding countryside.
The location was very peaceful, making it the perfect place to unwind and just chill out. The hosts were friendly, helpful and excellent at communicating before and during our stay.

We had a wonderful weekends stay at Little Fleece at Folly Farm. We were very impressed with the amenities in the very well thought out shepherd’s hut. We had everything we needed and more. The welcome pack and homemade s toiletries were also a pleasant addition, especially the shortbread :). The hosts were very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed, even offering lifts to the local village however we enjoyed the walk through the fields. A highlight was being shown around the farm and even seeing a lamb being born!! We used the pizza oven one evening which had easy to follow instructions and fire wood available to fuel and ate at the local pub, the harrow, the another night which we rate highly for food and hospitality. All in all a great stay and would highly recommend.

Superb little shepherd's hut with lovely, thoughtful hosts. They have considered every detail and are attentive, while still giving you plenty of space. Easy-to-use outdoor tub, walking distance to a lovely community boozer and easy access to the ridgeway national trail for 'big sky' views and all your hike/bike/run needs. Plus lambs in the fields in springtime! Strong recommendation, would return in a heartbeat.

Weekend Trip to Swan Island Glamping and Camping
We stayed in the Swan and Mallard Pods and the accommodation was perfect in a beautiful setting. They were super cosy with electricity, an en-suite and plenty of utensils. There is Ye Olde Swan nearby, which has just recently reopened and is ideal for pub grub and a drink. Adenira welcomed us and was so helpful and friendly.. We would definitely recommend this little gem of a setting on the banks of the River Thames.

A superb shepherds hut by itself on your own field. A marvellous outdoor kitchen with 30L fridge, twin gas (provided) burner, sink and hot (very) water. Easy to feed a family of four. Shower, and composting toilet, everything you need to just chill out and relax.
We had a family of 4, two kids both approaching 6 foot and the king, bunk and Z bed were fine. Even space for the dog bed. Bioethanol burner in the hut, very welcome the first night.
The site is great, tucked away down a track, great views of the scenery, sunrise and stars. Woodland, walks and birdsong right with you.
Firepit and BBQ there as well with chairs.
Alice was superb, very communicative and extremely helpful.
Absolutely going to go back.

I had such a lovely weekend at Little Fleece despite the wind! Jane was very welcoming and thought of lots of lovely little touches such as fresh bread and biscuits. Had an absolutely wonderful time at the pods. Its supplied with everything you need so no need to pack anything!! Other than food. We are a barbecue lover and these pods already was packed with everything you need so was brilliant. Everyone was supper friendly as we were approached by Izzie and tom on arrival with a smile. The place is beautiful and has amazing views, very quiet and private. It’s very safe as the place has sensors so they are aware of who leaves and enters. Will absolutely visit again in the future!!
