My second visit to Little Harford Lower Woodland, truly a hidden gem not too far from Exeter, perfect for a wild winter camp. Rachel is a fabulous host and communication prior to arrival was fast and efficient.
I will certainly be returning and recommending it to friends.

It's a peaceful, quiet site, and we were treated to an evening of watching swallows followed by an incredible moon rise. We wouldn't hesitate to come back.

Such a beautiful site with an amazing view. Park anywhere. Fabulous price and the shower was brilliant clean and powerful. Sadly had to leave early this morning due to my dog being unwell but would def recommend and come back

We enjoyed our stay very much, and just wished it was longer! The fields were lovely with beautiful views down the valley, and we very much appreciated the relaxed set up, thoughtful touches, and the wildlife and farming feel (i.e. nice and natural and not an over manicured 'touring park'!) Good facilities that worked very well - warm showers and compost loos (not at all stinky). Very clear directions provided with good signage so we found the site very easily. Lots of space so although there were 7 (I think) pitches in total that evening it felt peaceful and not crowded. Logs for sale although we didn't purchase any, and lots of info in the honesty shop. The land is lovely and we watched birds of prey, listened to owls, strolled along the newly planted hedge bank, and enjoyed a beautiful sunrise the next morning. Would definitely stay again and recommend it.

We stayed as a family of 5 for 4 nights! was a truly beautiful location and run by a lovely family. we were able to hire the camp fire with wood. and my girls really enjoy seeing the sheep on the farm. The amenities are excellent also for camping. nicest I've come across. The sunsets are beautiful and the clear night sky is great for star gazing. I also recommend driving to Totnes which was about 20/30ish min drive. and obviously Torquay isn't far. Otherwise enjoy some lovely walks around the camp site which are also mapped out by the outdoor type kitchen area! And they have a fridge/freezer you can use! We absolutely miss this place already and will definitely return! Thank you so much. x

Lovely quiet campsite. Loos and showers very good. I loved sat in the field watching the airplanes fly by from the local airfield.

Lovely pitch, showers and toilet very close but not too close to be a bother. Beautiful views facing the field. One morning I was woken up by a woodpecker knocking on the tree right behind my tent. I must say it was the best alarm I have ever heard and saw :)

We had a fabulous weekend at Milkmaid Meadow, the facilities are perfect, lovely hot showers both mornings and the meadow is set in a beautiful location. We will certainly be back again!

Just listening to the birds in the evening with beautiful surroundings was enough for me. Stayed one night and was the only one in the field which was brilliant for me.
Sat nav got a bit confused at the last few yards and told me to turn right but if I was more aware there is a sign on that junction telling you to go straight on and then you are there.
One field with toilets, shower and mini kitchen with all the recyclables.
Definitely go again as it was so peaceful

This is such a lovely site. If you love being in the calm of nature this is the place to be!
Having the lambs in the neighbouring fields, seeing the cows and horses in the distance. As the sun goes down you can hear the owls. With the lack of light pollution it is the perfect place to star gaze.
The showers, toilets and washing up facilities are very clean and there is warm water! This site is also very dog friendly with the field being very secure.
I would say my favourite part is having an area to have a communal fire pit. It means other campers can get together socially in the evening.
Barnstaple is only a 13 minute drive away so you are close to a town and supermarket if needed. There is also a beach close by.
Exmore national Park is only 50 minutes away.

A great quite spot for exploring the local area with amazing views. There is plenty of wildlife and Jakki was very friendly and helpful with providing fire pit and really good fire wood. Hope to go back soon.
