This peaceful, sheltered site has a special character. The site is the ideal place to unwind with plenty of safe space, a meandering river and friendly atmosphere. It offers 4 acres with facilities, 7 acres of wilderness, shower block, level pitches, picturesque river, children’s playground and has been rated AA 4 star gold pennant.
Becky and John both love Cornwall and fell in love with the site as soon as they saw it and it provided the perfect opportunity for a new challenge.
Having only recently taken over at Willow Valley in the Summer of 2024, there are always ongoing improvements being made so make sure you keep in touch. Any returning campers will be glad to know we aren’t changing the campsite itself though. Why would we when it is already so perfect!

Longash is a traditional granite farmhouse smallholding on the southern edge of Dartmoor, sitting above the moor with views stretching across open moorland towards Princetown. This is proper Dartmoor — wild, ancient and extraordinary.
Sleep in a Lotus Belle canvas tent on a raised timber platform, with a wood burner for cool evenings, a king bed, and the sound of nothing but wind and birdsong. Step outside to a fire pit under one of the darkest skies in the South West.
Due to the pristine nature of the lotus tent and the fact that we have livestock there are NO DOGS ALLOWED on bookings.
The land itself is the attraction. Natural wild swimming on site, a Neolithic stone row a thousand metres from the door, and unlimited moorland walking from the gate. The Dartmoor Inn at Merrivale is a 750 metre walk — an acclaimed open-fire restaurant serving exceptional meat, well worth the short walk across the moor.
This is a place to slow down, go outside, and remember what quiet feels like.

The farm is set in 42 acres and sits on the edge of West Blackdown, where wild moor meets the north-eastern edge of the Tavistock/Tamar Valley pastures.
The fields from the house slope gently down to the River Burn. Beyond which the fields rise up to the world-renowned St Michael De Rupe church which has sat atop Brentor since the original structure of 1130AD. This landmark dominates the landscape. I came to Kingfisher (second time) with my daughter and new puppy during a spell of hot weather at the end of May. It was truly blissful - sitting in the shade of the big oak tree, listening to the vibrant bird sounds, swimming in the pond, reading, walking the puppy in the woods at the top. I completely unravelled and de-stressed. Jan has really done something special with this land. It is humming with life. The birdsong took my breath away. And I could let the puppy run free in our little glade. It was only a few weeks ago, and I miss it. Thank you Jan.

We loved our six-night stay in Buzzard Yurt with our 8 year old and all agreed it was our favourite glamping experience to date. The site is teeming with wildlife and the view from the yurt was beautiful. Facilities were very good - Jan seems to have thought of everything you could possibly need while not overdoing it, and it all felt very homely. The trampoline was much appreciated. Overall, it was an excellent combination of nature & fresh air alongside being sufficiently comfortable (bringing a child and various back ache problems, etc.) to enjoy it. The woodland nature reserve next door was also stunning in April. Thoroughly recommended.

My partner and I stayed a night in the Peaceful Pod (Wollemia) and it was absolutely beautiful. The pod was clean, well decorated, and the outdoor space was so peaceful.

Lovely campsite, the pods look like Tellytubby Land! It's a bit of a walk into Bude probably 40mins but the park and ride is almost opposite the site and very reasonable. We stayed in the Tree House, it was comfy and clean. It has a kettle, microwave, toaster, BBQ and fridge which is so convenient. Would recommend taking your usual cooking kit as there are plates, mugs, bowls and glasses but not pots and pans or stove. I might also take a picnic table if you like to sit in the sun as the seating area is shady. No curtains means you need a sleep mask if you like a dark room but I loved waking up to the sight of a blue sky. Would also recommend a torch for going up and down the steps at night.

This is a place to feel connected to the land and to completely let go of all the pressures of modern living. Jan is passionate about bio diversity and I loved walking up to the yurt, brushing past lavender and sage and wild flowers full of bees and butterflies, picking an apple on the way - and having it for breakfast whilst looking over a most glorious sunrise view from Buzzard Yurt. Then a walk in the woods and chilling in the hammock reading and soaking up the birdsong and the sound of the buzzard up above. At night - lying on the deck looking up at a starry sky and sitting round the fire toasting marshmallows. A truly relaxing and healing few days. Thank you Jan.

So we had a fantastic time at Kingfisher Yurt, relaxing under the Oak and Ash trees. Swimming pond was perfect.
Yurt was really comfortable and the kitchen was fab for dining and playing games, We hired the hot tub, which was also lovely.
Jan was a perfect host. We shall be back.

Weekend Trip to Willow Valley Holiday Park
We had a lovely stay in the school bus! It was surprisingly roomy and very well equipped. Hosts were very welcoming on arrival and always about should we have needed help during our stay. The campsite itself was lovely and quiet, the facilities very clean and well maintained and a useful little shop should you need something! Would definitely recommend this stay to others - thank you!

We loved our stay at Buzzard Yurt! Jan was super friendly and helpful, and the kids loved the trampoline, the pond, the hot tub, feeding the chickens, picking the eggs and just everything the lovely campsite had to offer. It was such a good break from the bustle of city life and we cannot wait to return. The night skies were delightful with a sky full of stars and hardly any light pollution anywhere near us, and our days were filled with adventure and nature at the camp. Jan's campsite is conveniently located to lots of lovely sights - Beer, Seaton, Lyme Regis. A perfect break!

Fantastic stay, Baby bear yurt was a treat to stay in for the few days I was there & the internal log burner made for warm nights even when the weather wasn’t great.
Set amongst stunning terrain & close to major landmarks makes this a great base of operations for exploration.

We had a great stay in the bluebird bus, our little boy especially loved it. Nice touches such as the welcome bag, biscuits, some tea and small squash. Logs and lighters for the chiminea and log burner all added to a fantastic stay.
The campsite itself was really peaceful and relaxing. The toilets and showers seemed to be brand new and really clean.
Great location for the beaches and walks.
We will definitely be back.

Our stay in Bluebird exceeded our expectations! The bus is fantastic and an incredible first glamping experience for our 2year old & 6year old boys! The bus was clean, comfortable and unique and the outdoor space was lovely, the boys loved toasting marshmallows in the firepit.
Becky and John were wonderful hosts, friendly and welcoming & it’s clear they have put a lot of love into the whole site.
Highly recommend if you are looking for a quirky glamping experience with your family!
