Hunstanton Camping & Glamping

14 units · Glamping, Motorhomes, Tents2 acres · King's Lynn, England
Hunstanton Camping and Glamping with mYminiBreak is located 2 minutes walk from the beach. Heacham is a large but quiet village just on the outskirts of the seaside town of Hunstanton. Providing a range of camping pitches for tents, campervans, caravans and motorhomes; you could also indulge in a ready-made stay in a Glamping Bell Tent or Shepherds Hut for a Glamping break away on the Norfolk coast. When you stay at Hunstanton Camping and Glamping with mYminiBreak you are conveniently located to explore the beach and its surrounding areas. Between the venue and the beach, you will find the entrance to a public footpath that takes you to Snettisham, a smaller and history-rich village through scenic rural countryside. It is also possible to walk to Hunstanton in the opposite direction along the promenade whilst enjoying the sea air and open views. Our campsite is one of only a handful of campsites located on the west coast of Norfolk and just a 2-minute walk from the beach gives us a prime location for watching the sunset go down in all its spectacular deep orange and red glory. Couple this with having some drinks with friends and family by your campfire or BBQ makes for a wonderful memory to share with your loved ones. We are campfire and dog friendly, and welcome your four-legged friends to stay with you across our camping and glamping accommodation Local shops only 5 minutes down the road takes a load off your mind knowing that if you forget any supplies you don't have to go without, making your experience while camping in Hunstanton a relaxed and fun time. We are a rural former dairy farm by the beach, there are free-ranging chickens and cockerels and they may make farmyard sounds, if you are a light sleeper, be sure to bring earplugs :) GLAMPERS PLEASE NOTE The Glamping Kitchenette is suitable for making small quick meals with the use of a microwave, oven & stove for cooking and grilling and a toaster and kettle, there is also a fridge provided. Showers and toilets are shared with the campsite with the exception of gas powered outside showers that are solely for glampers. We are a VERY dog-friendly venue, we welcome dogs and muddy boots and host many hikers and explorers of the Norfolk Coast, although every care has been taken to ensure very clean accommodation, it is possible that a dog hair or 2 escapes our conscientious eye, please bear this in mind and let us know should you find anything you are not happy with, we will get our housekeeping team to deal with the issue swiftly! Please note that the Glamping Bell Tents and Glamping Shepherds Huts are for 2 adults only with the exception of 1 Adult and 1 Child with prior consent from us, they are not suitable for under 2's and do not come with facilities for children or babies. Grange Wood Glamping

5 units · Glamping3 acres · Staffordshire, West Midlands
‘The Grange' B&B at Lower Loxley Staffordshire is just off the main A518 Stafford Road, 3 miles from the old market town Uttoxeter. Only 400 metres down a country lane is a very special place. Mary’s family have farmed here since the seventies and on her parents’ retirement, the modern agricultural buildings were taken down and the original brick buildings were converted into homes for the family. Mary and Mick moved here in 2006 and Mary with 20 years of experience of farmhouse bed and breakfast with Mick’s help set about the task to make ready for ‘pgs’- paying guests. The Grange BB opened it’s doors in 2007 with 3 bedrooms for guests and visiting family and has been an on-going project ever since. Mary and hubby Mick have devoted the following years to developing the 4 acres of grounds into a garden of which 3 acres is woodland. A ’pop-up’ glamping site was developed in 2015 and a local business held ‘hencamps’ in bell tents during the summer months. This was very successful and the demand for bigger groups soon outgrew what Mary and Mick offered here at The Grange. In 2021 (post lockdown)the idea of Grange Wood Glamping was sown. A small off-grid ‘pop-up’ glamping site - 'OWL CAMP' -for couples or alternatively a limited availability May-August for groups of family and friends, with sole use of the site with no minimum but a maximum occupancy of up to 14 people under canvas. With additional accommodation for 6/7 in the B&B rooms for those whom ‘off-grid glamping’ is really not their thing. With a mix of Glamping in luxury belle tents and bed and breakfast rooms, this is a great place to spend time with your family and friends for that extra special celebration or just a catch-up with your nearest and dearest. A perfect private space making it possible for friends and all of the family to gather together and meet up in one place. Contact the owners at The Grange to discuss your requirements. We are adaptable, approachable and happy to help. QUIET CAMP after 11pm Grangewood Glamping has 3 tents, sleeping up to 12, a gypsy caravan sleeping 1-2 available with a 2 metre cedar wood-fired hot tub and basic off grid facilities in the 'camp area' but has additional on-grid facilities in the main buildings (The Mess) The Mess - available from 7am - 11pm has: .a wash room with an electric shower, 2 flushing toilets and wash basin .kitchenette and dining area with, power points, kettles, microwave, fridge/freezer,foreman grill, slow cooker and electric 2 plate hob. All neccessary utensils, crockery, cutlery and PC glassware. All of the facilities including Hot Tub are completely exclusive to your group. All firewood is provided.

Glamping in Sherwood Forest with swimming guide

Overview

Steeped in more than a thousand years of history, myth, and legend, Sherwood Forest is so much more than a natural reserve. A former royal hunting ground and the stomping ground of the mythical Robin Hood, the forest lands sprawl over more than 30 miles from Nottingham to Workshop, encompassing three regions, a national nature reserve, and numerous parks, abbeys, and mediaeval ruins. Campers can enjoy four seasons of outdoor activities against a backdrop of spring wildflowers or fall foliage, depending on the season, while the annual Robin Hood Festival (July and August) features family-friendly activities all summer long.

Where to go

The Dukeries

Rolling green fields and sumptuous Ducal estates make up the northernmost region of Sherwood Forest. Clumber Park, with its National Trust estate and serpentine lake, and Thoresby Park, with its miles of woodland walks and artisan shops, are the regional highlights. Bring your caravan or campervan for a weekend break in the English countryside—you’ll never be far from a family campground or caravan park.

Heart of Sherwood

Sherwood’s central heartland is Robin Hood country at its best. Explore the Sherwood Forest Country Park, where you can visit the Major Oak (iconic home of Robin Hood and his merry men), hike and cycle along miles of trails, or ride the Sherwood Forest Railway. Woodland walks and bike rides are also on offer at nearby Sherwood Pines Forest Park, while Rufford Country Park is home to the 12th-century Rufford Abbey.

Byron Country

The southernmost slice of Sherwood Forest sits just north of the city of Nottingham, making it the ideal escape for urban campers. Hike along the Robin Hood Way or bike part of the National Cycle Route 6 through Bestwood Country Park, follow in the footsteps of the Prince of Thieves in Thieves Wood, or make like a modern-day Robin Hood and go glamping in a treehouse in the woods.
