What a lovely site! Toilets and facilities are spotless. Hosts were absolutely brilliant. Can’t wait to come again!

Weekend Trip to The Old Chapel Campsite

The campsite is situated on a beautiful little piece of land off the side of Ted’s house. The campsite is enclosed by a stone brick wall and had access via a gate. There are geese, sheep, lambs, ducks and a turkey that roam around the site - all are very friendly and Ted very kindly let us bottle feed the lambs! There is a porter loo for campers to use, it was fully supplied with toilet roll, soap, running water and hand tissues. Ted has fresh hen and duck eggs for sale on the land. We brought a raised pit fire with us, but Ted also has them available to rent for your whole stay along with bags of firewood. Ted was very kind and made us feel very welcome. We’d definitely return! The only issue we ran into was a nearby camping group playing music throughout their stay and loudly into the night - we messaged Ted and he kindly popped out to ask them to turn it down.

2 nights at The Old Chapel Campsite

We had an amazing time here. We stayed for two nights and had beautiful weather. There was just us and another couple with their dog. Ted was very accommodating and well informed about the area and gave us some ideas to fill our days. It was lovely watching his little ducks on the field and to hear the sheep in the morning too. It’s back to basics camping, no burger vans/shower blocks etc but it was absolutely perfect for what we wanted. ‘Proper camping’ Lovely quiet location, spotless portaloo and a friendly host.

Paid a midweek (Tues-Fri) visit to the Hollies- yet another enjoyable time there. Hit lucky again with superb weather conditions, superb spotless toilets and showers, friendly family members call round to check if firewood is needed, and that all is OK. Pizza man was stocking up for the weekend (Fri-Sun) friendly chap and reviews for what he sells are all good. Look forward to my next visit to this superb site, next chance I get. A great site close to Chee Dale/Monsal Trail, had a great bank holiday weekend here, the only let down being the weather (typical). Would definitely recommend and come back again in the future! Toilets were very clean and maintained regularly. Thanks for a great stay!

Absolutely amazing spot in the valley with great views of the sea and some spectacular sunsets. The site itself is full of things to explore and little hidden spots, it’s really laid back and chill and the on site shop and facilities are great. Such a great find, will return again!

Very clean and well maintained site. Owners are around multiple times a day and very friendly and helpful! Toilets, shower and patio area cleaned regularly. The pizzas are delicious and a great touch! And of course can’t grumble at the lovely view

Lovely little campsite with great views. A little busier than we expected but it was bank holiday. Lots of walks directly from the campsite and some nice local pubs not too far away. Field was well maintained, facilities were generally clean and campsite owners were friendly.

We had a great stay, our pitch was at the top of the forest area and was really secluded and peaceful. The walk Maria reccomended was great too. 10/10

We lived the Tent Camping at White Peak. The views are stunning, the loos were good. There were plenty of families camping at the same time, so if we’d stayed more than one night In sure our child would have made friends. It’s a beautiful part of the world and we’ll definitely be back.. lovely communication with the owners pre-trip as well.. we felt very welcome. thank you Janice and Paul..

Absolutely stunning place. Lovely hosts. It was our first time in the peaks and they helped us find the best takeaways and country walks. Took both of our dogs and they were really great with them. Lovely place will definitely be back soon!
