Where to go

Grizedale Forest

Embrace the nearby beauty of Grizedale Forest and spend the night in a tent, caravan, or cabin amidst the lush canopy of trees. Explore the forest's network of walking and biking trails, such as the popular Grizedale Tarn Trail or Silurian Way, to view contemporary art sculptures throughout the area. Adventure seekers can try their hand at Go Ape, an exhilarating treetop adventure course, or explore the forest on segways or horses. After a day of exploration, retire to a local family-run forest campsite equipped with essential amenities, including clean facilities, picnic areas, and electric hookups for added comfort. Woodland cabin rentals with private hot tubs are also available.

Take a leisurely stroll along the lakefront, or explore nearby trails such as Orrest Head circular trail, providing views of the lake and surrounding fells. For a more relaxed experience, hop on a Lake Windermere cruise. Nearby lakeside camping sites offer pitches with various amenities, including access to clean facilities and picnic areas. For a cosier experience, rent a yurt or shepherd’s hut near the lake in towns like Low Wray, Ambleside, and Rydal.

Scafell Pike

The most popular route, Brown Tongue path, takes you through awe-inspiring terrain. As night falls, camp at designated camping areas along the trails for both tents and caravans that have electric hookups, toilets, and water stations.
