Campfires: Campfires and BBQs are encouraged and allowed. Glamping units include private fire pits/braziers for evening gatherings under the clear, dark Norfolk skies, which are excellent for stargazing.

We purchased this peaceful secluded 15 acre piece of land, consisting of a 3 acre lake, in early 2015.
Our beautiful Log Cabin (KINGFISHER) was completed in May 2017 and the static homes style lodges, (LAVENDER AND SUNFLOWER) in April 2021.
Kingfisher is a more rustic vibe with log burner and oil filled radiators for heating and Lavender and Sunflower are more modern vibe with gas central heating.
Lavender and Sunflower both have ramp access.
They all have their own personal jetty and veranda to fish from. You can also fish anywhere around the lake as we do not allow day tickets.
Kingfisher has 3 bedrooms, so sleeps 3 singles or 3 couples. The other two have 2 bedrooms, so sleeps just 2 singles or 2 couples.
It is such a peaceful haven. All your troubles just disappear when you arrive. The calming beauty of the lake is inspiring.
We want this to become our very own nature reserve, encouraging nesting of all kinds to mature to full potential. We want you to share on our journey and progress along the way. We don’t look on this as a business, but a ‘home from home’.
It is our secretive safe haven, nestled nicely in-between Boston and Skegness in a peaceful surrounding – there is no traffic apart from the occasional Spitfire or Lancaster flying by! Also, depending on what time of year, the occasional combine harvester or tractor working the surrounding fields.
Please note that our fishing village and cabin site are for adults only, no children or pets are allowed. We may welcome well behaved and experienced fishing people from the age of 15 years upwards. Please ask beforehand.

This was our first real trip as newbie motorhomers. We had a lovely couple of days between Christmas and New Year. Site was busy but still peaceful. Hosts keep an eye on things and are more than happy to help if required. Hassle free booking. Plenty of space between pitches and plenty of room on pitches. The facilities are good and kept spotless. There are short or long walking tours to Castle Howard and a lovely walk along the lakeside. Take your walking boots as not really suitable for trainers.
Take extra hookup cables as it can be a long way to ehu points.

Received a very warm welcome to our numbered & reserved pitch. A lovely quiet site, fantastic facilities lovely clean and hot showers and toilets. So quiet at night, we stayed in our campervan on an electric gravel pitch, really enjoyed our (1 night) stay. Castle Howard is generally beautiful also!

A lovely small campsite with plenty of space. Facilities were clean and not overcrowded washing up had hot water and there was a freezer for ice packs too. Showers were hot too and a good pressure. Signal was not as bad as we’d been led to believe 4G could be found in the camping field although not in the facility block. A really nice place to stay and well worth checking out Castle Howard itself while you’re there, fascinating place.

The absolute best of everything, whether you are on grass or hardstanding, a beautiful site in the grounds of Castle Howard.
Plenty of space too, although we were here on a Sunday, already booked to come back later this week.
Value for money as it used to be twenty years ago before the sites became too commercial and expensive.

Lovely place, onsite shop is rather expensive and has limited hours. Only other pet peeve was the crows, were talking 20+ crows all cawing late at night and again from around 4am in the morning, had to sleep with ear plugs both nights and still got awoken by them.

The hut had everything we needed for a few days off grid and the location was so peaceful! I would thoroughly recommend! The weather was chilly but the log burner was more than enough to keep us warm and cosy. The kitchenette included a fridge and hob and the essential utensils and plenty of logs were provided.
