We are a family run farm situated in the beautiful Frome valley. The farm has a range of interests from the traditional Jersey milking cows to a community of workshops used by local craftsmen. The cafe serves cream teas from Easter to the end of September and pizzas are sold in evenings during the summer months.
Ours is a small family run camp site with the River Frome on one side, next to the medieval buildings of Stowford Farm. The river is suitable for fishing, boating, swimming and paddling. Historic Bradford-on-Avon is only a 5 minute drive and the City of Bath 15 minutes. For those who enjoy more rural pleasures, 200 metres from the campsite Farleigh Hungerford boasts the only river swimming club in the country, and you can become an instant member for a very small fee.

Lovely camping in an old forest, pitches are distant from each other, so it is perfect if you want privacy and silence. Deer wandering through the camp. Really good rustic toilet and shower structure. And the owners were really kind and welcoming. 10/10 will come again.

Excellent site! Amazing views to wake up to on a morning. Lovely walk down to the lighthouse, could see the sunset and the moon rise at the same time.
Will definitely be back.
Didn't try the showers, but they looked pretty good. Although charging a quid for 3 minutes seems pretty tight for hot water. Maybe like 5 mins would give time for a better wash.
Toilets in our field were portaloos which were alright, not the best, but did the job and were cleaned and topped up. Might be better with a couple of extra considering the size of the field.

Just got back from a 3 night stay at Bredy Farm. We stayed in the Orchard and found it to be peaceful and relaxing. The restaurant was sadly not open Sunday/Monday/Tuesday nights but it looked beautiful. Compost loos in the mead field were fine and the outdoor showers were rustic but worked well. Our dog loved jumping in the steam that runs between the fields and it was great to have a campfire and do some star gazing with no light pollution. We had a really great time and recommend the campsite for a peaceful break Sunday-midweek.
Apparently Friday/Saturdays have a very different party vibe!!!

If you like space, this site is fab. We were also able to camp to avoid the morning sun on our tent which meant no more getting up at 6am!! Facilities clean and the kids loved the rope swing and tyre swing.

Lovely, peaceful site. The fields were flat and the site didn't feel overcrowded at all. The facilities were very clean and well kept. The tiny shop was well stocked - great to be able to buy milk and fresh meat each day. The wood fired pizzas on Saturday evening were delicious too!

The adventure starts at the driveway, Jurassic Park on the Jurassic Coast!!
Campsite was fantastic, facilities were immaculate and the showers were amazing!
Treat yourself at the on site shop too, ice cream and lollies went down a treat.
Take a walk down to the ford, soul cleansing, perfect spot too cool, calm & wind down.
Prey for a clear sky at night, might be a little chillier but it will be worth it, ive never seen so many stars!
10/10 Superb.

My family and I loved this campground! Our pitch was nestled between trees and bushes making feel secluded and private, but also open to a field for the kids to play in. Enjoyed bathing in the stream on the grounds. Good clean facilities and toilets.

The showers here are fantastic ! Great temperature and powerful (if you want them to be). The campsite is well organized, tidy and quiet, so offers campers the opportunity to have much peace and relaxation.
Weekends offer beautiful coffee & cake to buy in the coffee shack (I would) and I think you can arrange for pizzas too, if I’m not mistaken - Ask Mew though.
Love the fact that each pitch offers the ability to have your own campfire. This was the deciding factor for me.

Great site. I was a solo female camper and felt very safe here. Every camper I met was super friendly and even had another solo camper join me for drinks at the fire pit.
Facilitators are basic but good. Shower is really powerful and hot. And even a freezer.
The view is stunning and I will definitely be back.

Brilliant clean and old fashioned camp site. Well maintained large field with good views. Clean toilet shower block, good showers , inside and outside washing up area. Fridge/freezer , microwave and PowerPoints. Parts of the field have electric hook up and the location is very peaceful. Dorchester is 6 miles away with lots of shops and plenty of DC EV charging stations. Christopher the owner is lovely and for a small fee his wife produces continental breakfast. A great site that I shall be using again

- Best for peace and quiet: Back of Beyond has grass pitches, hard-standing, glamping options, and wild camping in the woods. It’s adults-only, plus there’s a dog park and lake.
- Best for a family camping holiday: Red Shoot Camping Park is less than a 20-minute drive, within the New Forest National Park, and has self-catering huts, kids’ play areas, and a family pub right next door.
- Best for riverside camping: Woolsbridge Manor Farm has spacious tent and caravan pitches, all within walking distance of the park.
Tips for snagging a campsite
- Campsites and caravan sites near Moor Valley can book up quickly, especially in July and August, and during school holidays. Early bookings are essential—up six months in advance for the most popular sites.
- You will need to pay a deposit to secure your campsite reservation; some sites ask for the full payment prior to arrival.
- Be sure to check seasonal opening and closing dates, which vary by campsite. Many campsites open from March through October only.
When to go
Summer is peak season, but Moors Valley fills up with families on weekends and school holidays throughout the year. Make an early start if visiting at these times and book activities in advance to avoid disappointment. Walking and cycling are possible year-round, but other activities depend on the season. The steam railway runs from May through early September, while fishing on the lake is permitted from June through March.

- Moors Valley County Park and Forest is located in Hampshire, just west of the New Forest National Park. It’s about a 20-minute drive or bus ride from Bournemouth.
- You can explore the park on foot or rent a bike.
