The site is a unique woodland valley folded around a clear, spring-fed lake created from the old Tregildrans Quarry. Our tipis and tent pitches are dotted about this secret 20 acres full of ferns, bluebells, oak and meadowsweet.
Left in peace for many years there's been no modern chemicals or poisons on the land, meaning we've got bluebells, dormice, Red Admirals and shy woodland Jays for you to spot.
It’s a place set apart from the rush and clutter of the modern holiday experience, with an atmosphere that makes you forget the world outside, and just lounge, ramble, or potter about in a boat.

We established CTH in 1996. This was the first and we believe still is the best tipi holiday site in the UK. We know our area inside out and can always help with local knowledge or contacts if you need them.
We want to offer our guests a sustainable holiday. A return to real camping means the lowest possible impact on the land and environment - our tipi poles don’t even break the surface of the earth. Your footprint while here could only be bettered by a survival expert. You don't have to fly! a major bonus, and we source all our wood, fish and canvas locally and work with local people wherever possible.

This peaceful, sheltered site has a special character. The site is the ideal place to unwind with plenty of safe space, a meandering river and friendly atmosphere. It offers 4 acres with facilities, 7 acres of wilderness, shower block, level pitches, picturesque river, children’s playground and has been rated AA 4 star gold pennant.
Becky and John both love Cornwall and fell in love with the site as soon as they saw it and it provided the perfect opportunity for a new challenge.
Having only recently taken over at Willow Valley in the Summer of 2024, there are always ongoing improvements being made so make sure you keep in touch. Any returning campers will be glad to know we aren’t changing the campsite itself though. Why would we when it is already so perfect!

Wild About Campers is a peaceful retreat amid spectacular hiking country in the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and 25 minutes’ drive from cliff-top treks along the South West Coast Path.
The Jurassic Coast at Lyme Regis is within 25 minutes’ drive, and if you feel a major shopping expedition coming on, the historic cathedral city of Exeter (35 minutes) will see you right. Both Exmoor and Dartmoor national parks are less than an hour’s drive away, while the pretty neighbouring town of Honiton (10 minutes) offers pubs and tearooms as well as antique shops to browse.
But if it’s a rural retreat you’re after, well, this is the place. The camping paddock is surrounded by peaceful farmland and borders the River Otter (look out for the resident beavers, otters and kingfishers, which occasionally appear), so you can fall asleep lulled by the burble of the river along with the distant hoot of barn owls – and wake up fresh in the morning to the sound of birdsong.
A popular family-run pub is five minutes’ stroll from the campsite, and you can pick up emergency supplies from a well-stocked village shop run by volunteers (five minutes’ drive).

Very private, lovely place so quiet, facilities were great, Chris was amazing and went ab9ve and beyond for us. Even put gazebo up over the seating area as on arrival it was raining hard. Yurt was amazing bed was really comfortable. Hot tub was an added bonus and the Bluetooth speaker was a nice touch. our dogs absolutely love the grounds. Would highly recommend. And I think we will be back again one day.

We loved staying at tams land. The views are absolutely beautiful as is the sound of nature and wildlife. We stayed in the otter tent which was well equipped for a family of 3 and a dog! Tam is an excellent host, unfortunately due to traffic we arrived late than planned on Friday night however tam was understanding and accommodating anf helped us settle in quickly. On the Saturday night it was a complete wash out and tam offered to let us stay in another one of their lodges as it had a log burner - this was excellent, appreciated and well timed (we'd been on the beach all day and were completely soaked)! We would definitely recommend staying here! Thanks again Tam!

5 nights at Surf Pods and Camping at Atlantic Farm
Lovely campsite, the pods look like Tellytubby Land! It's a bit of a walk into Bude probably 40mins but the park and ride is almost opposite the site and very reasonable. We stayed in the Tree House, it was comfy and clean. It has a kettle, microwave, toaster, BBQ and fridge which is so convenient. Would recommend taking your usual cooking kit as there are plates, mugs, bowls and glasses but not pots and pans or stove. I might also take a picnic table if you like to sit in the sun as the seating area is shady. No curtains means you need a sleep mask if you like a dark room but I loved waking up to the sight of a blue sky. Would also recommend a torch for going up and down the steps at night.

Had a really nice time at Rocombe Valley Retreat, Elliot was very welcoming on arrival, the bell tent was great and comfortable. The site was quiet and clean and they had a lot of essentials there ready to use in the shared kitchen, including a fridge/freezer to store food in. Wood fired hot tub was a nice treat to top it off.

Would highly recommend , we stopped in the safari lodge and had the whole site to our selves kids and dog loved it . lodge was very clean and so was the shower and toilet facilities also has a kitchen what has everything you need if you do forget anything with an honesty box to leave the money in . We was lucky to have a clear night so seeing all the stars at night was amazing also spotted deers in the morning. Very pleased with our stay

Very spacious, quiet, well maintained campsite. The bell tent was very well equipped and the outside kitchen covered with a tarp was very convenient. Everyday frozen cooling elements are provided for the cool box. Great service! Lesley and Tony were super friendly and helpful. The kids had lots of fun playing and could wander on their own around the campsite. Can recommend staying here!

Weekend Trip to Willow Valley Holiday Park
We had a lovely stay in the school bus! It was surprisingly roomy and very well equipped. Hosts were very welcoming on arrival and always about should we have needed help during our stay. The campsite itself was lovely and quiet, the facilities very clean and well maintained and a useful little shop should you need something! Would definitely recommend this stay to others - thank you!

We stayed at Rocombe Valley Retreat for 3 nights with 3 friends and wished we would have planned to stay longer! Rocombe Valley is a stunning farm, the yurt was comfortable and fully equipt, and Elliot was an amazing host who went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Can only recommend!

The Yurt in the Orchard is an exceptional place to get away from it all. Be prepared for silence ! The Yurt is comfortable, the shepherds hut has the essentials for food prep and the washing up station does the job. The shower is great and the loo is functional while being eco friendly. Be prepared to spend hours in the hot tub looking at the stars and the milky way. Had a great weekend.

Fantastic stay, Baby bear yurt was a treat to stay in for the few days I was there & the internal log burner made for warm nights even when the weather wasn’t great.
Set amongst stunning terrain & close to major landmarks makes this a great base of operations for exploration.

The campsite is gorgeous, along the river in a little secluded valley surrounded by trees with countryside views. The kitchen is perfectly equipped and the hot shower is a great amenity.
The beds are comfy and the tents are nicely furnished.

Beautiful little spot a short drive from South Moulton. The Camping dome or bubble house as our 2 year old called it was, clean and spacious with a log burner for warmth and electric hob for that morning coffee. Only a few glamping spots so not overcrowded. Loved the ecleptic oldy worldy decor around the site. Plenty of character. Decent shower, toilet and communal kitchen facilities.
Our daughter loved the Alpacas. Thankyou Nick and Tracey for the stay.

Beautiful field, really idyllic and peaceful. Huge tent with a comfy bed, and handy having power points in the kitchen hut. The provisions for cooking are quite basic (could have done with an extra saucepan and a colander), but the outside stove worked well and our 3 year old loved the whole experience.

What a magical place ✨️
We had such a lovely, peaceful time. Fresh eggs from the chickens on arrival and some scones, cream and jam - what more could you ask for.
If you want to escape the rush of life and have some down time, this is definitely the place and it had everything you need to be comfortable and relax.

We had a wonderful stay at Rocombe Retreat surrounded by a plethora of birds, sheep, cattle and the luling of running water into the lake.
Eliott was very helpful,-not only with practical advice on site but was also able to sign post us to local attractions. The farmer (sorry we forgot his name).was very accommodating and gave us a snapshot of his daily life.
We were very fortunate to see the weighing in from the fishing competition that took place on site. Truly amazing fishermen in the area!
It really felt like home away from home. We will definetley recommend and will visit again.

It was a brilliant weekend in Bluebird - the comfy, spacious American bus. We loved every minute! The campsite is really well set up and peaceful, I'd highly recommend both the site and the bus.
