Quiet, clean, great sunsets, good price, everything you need, and extra extra nice hosts. Would book again!

2 nights at Dolwen Riverside Camping

This is a gorgeous spot. There are eight pitches and all but one was taken when we arrived for the first night. But they are so widely spaced out that it feels very quiet even when it is full. It was mostly families when were there. The second night we had it all to ourselves. David came out to meet us when we arrived and was very friendly and helpful. Both in person and when responding to a question via the app. Loos, kitchen and showers were all clean tidy and in good working order. Basically have not got a bad thing to say about this place.

Weekend Trip to Shire Camping

Harry was the perfect host! He met us at the site entrance when we arrived and showed us to our pitch. The pitches are huge with plenty of space around them which makes the site feel private and quiet. It is in a beautiful location with two lovely villages within walking distance and lots of other attractions a short drive away. The toilets and washing facilities are basic and clean. We loved the minimal impact on the environment. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend and return.

A great site close to Chee Dale/Monsal Trail, had a great bank holiday weekend here, the only let down being the weather (typical). Would definitely recommend and come back again in the future! Toilets were very clean and maintained regularly. Thanks for a great stay!

Weekend Trip to Tree Tops and Train Tracks

My young nephew and I had a great time camping on the Hegdehog pitch of the Treetops and Traintracks site. Coinciding with some fine, sunny days, we trundled in, out and about on our bicycles and found Sebastian's welcome a hearty warm one 😀 The site is lovingly and neatly kept, offering around ten pitches and well-serviced toilets and showers (my nephew liked the train carriage-themed facilities!). The modest size was congenial for sharing stories and tios with ither campers, whilst avoiding the noise and insitutionalisation which comes with larger scale operations. My nephew and I were pleased out fire-starting skills were strong enough to barbecue our dinner and were grateful for the bonus teatime treats on offer, and the extra blanket! Currently a site for the self-sustaining camper (no standard charging or electric hook up points) makes this is simply special 😀 Good luck with your ongoing developments and growing family! Thank you Rich & Brianney for sharing your beautiful land with us, we had the best time. Such a peaceful and unique little spot for camping. We loved being nestled amongst the orchard, hearing all the different birds singing in the trees and cooking pizzas in the cob oven. Highly recommend and can't wait to come back.

There were plenty of families camping at the same time, so if we’d stayed more than one night In sure our child would have made friends. I loved absolutely everything about this campsite! I was so excited to find one that had everything I was looking for and didn't have a strict leaving time as a bonus! The views, are amazing, the facilities are always clean with plenty loo roll. The loos are big enough to get changed in, perfect for those with little tents. Plenty fire pits and Janice comes along early evening to welcome and sells logs at a decent price. Janice was very welcoming and gave us directions to the nearest villages, and the stepping stones pictured on their ad. The walks around there came as a really unexpected surprise, absolutely stunning and amazing! It's like going back to dinosaur times walking along the river in the ravine. We had to ask a few people where the stepping stones are as there's no Internet in the ravine. (perfect signal on the campsite) I loved that everyone was a bit lost down there and we were all helping each other out without any Google maps. Perfect for us! 2 female friends, in our 50s, small camper with 2 dogs. Superb!!
