Weekend Trip to Riverside Farm experience camp fire

A perfect short break with really friendly, host, other campers and well cared for animals to pet. Kids loved messy about on the river and the classic camp fire.

1 night at Cotswolds Camping at Holycombe

Lovely area, and loads of nice touches to the site (hammocks, clean toilets, cut paths to explore). The water/moat was just sludge when we went (I'm blaming the heatwave!) but still a beautiful spot to listen to the birds and watch sunsets on the hills opposite. The church bells were a fun addition!

Quiet. Nice setting. The Non-members (C&CC) field is spacious. Note: No electric hook-up on it. Easy access from lane. Can use ALL the facilities in the other parts. IF you are an angler then lots of choice surrounding the site and nearby :-) Good walking area too!

1 night at Riverside Farm experience camp fire

This place is pure magic, couldn’t have asked for anything more. The location is stunning, based in a valley with views of meadows and grand trees as far as the eye can see. You would think you were deep in the countryside. The stream was crystal clear and crisp, we floated down on the kindly provided paddle boards which the kids loved. Not to mention the very friendly animals who wander freely around the site, it was beautiful seeing animals free in their natural environment. The piglets were extremely friendly and my daughter had so much fun playing with them. There is so much to do, in the woodland area my daughter had fun playing in the sandpit, swinging in the hammocks and zooming along the zip wire. We had a gorgeous fire in the pit provided, grilled our fish and enjoyed the starry night. In the morning we collected eggs from the lovely chickens - the freshest eggs I’ve ever had! And to top it all off, Morag is the loveliest person, such a genuine down to earth soul. We will definitely be back!

Lovely site for a group of friends with walks and water activities to enjoy. Facilities are basic and not the cleanest but still fine for a small site. People were so friendly on site, very happy and welcoming place. Will definitely be back!

Lovely site on the river right next a very pleasant pub - what more could you ask for. This was my second stay and the site was more or less at capacity this time, but despite that I was still comfortable. There were a few groups up late but no one was being obnoxiously loud. Only complaint is that the showers are way too hot!! 'Warning Hot Water' stickers seem like an admission of guilt. Otherwise can't fault the place, looking forward to staying again another time.

We had a fantastic stay at Broadleaves. Kerry and Rupert have thought of every small detail to make the stay so comfortable. They were there to greet us and made us feel so welcome. We stayed for 2 nights as a family of 4 with a dog and will definitely be returning. The facilities are great quality and the location is stunning. I have already been recommending them to family and friends.

Weekend Trip to The Nut Plat Retreat

Very nice off grid experience. Facilities are good but it’s more of a rustic experience than luxury. We had a lovely weekend. Nice walks to the vineyard (1 hour) who have a nice outside area to try wines and the cheeseboard is decent. The rifleman pub is a stones throw from the nuthatch and the food is really good. Wood fired hot tub is a nice touch. Just have to be patient with it. Really friendly host. Would definitely go back.

Lovely quiet little campsite, not very busy even in kids holidays. Gorgeous setting on the river. Car parking plentiful. Just the one pub and little shop, and no supermarkets within walking distance, so bring all your supplies with you. Toilets are very clean, showers are clean but very erratic haha

2 nights at Serenity Lakes

Loved our little glamping adventure to Serenity Lakes! The huts have everything you need, from cutlery to microwave and towels and even UNO playing cards. Everything is really well signposted aned explained in the welcome brochure in the hut. Absolute highlights wad obviously the wood-fired hot tub 💞 but also the beautiful sunsets on the lake!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Facilities were great apart from the toaster in the outdoor kitchen which tripped the electric but Samantha sorted it straight away following a message to her. Was lovely walking around the lake and we enjoyed some delicious cakes at the farm cafe. My son had fun at the kids playground. Everyone was polite and friendly.

Weekend Trip to Hastingford Fishery Glamping

On arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Mark, Geraldine's brother, who gave us directions to our hut (Perch). He followed us up, and made sure we knew where everything was in the hut, he had the fridge stocked with fresh milk, eggs, fruit juice, there was tea, coffee, sugar, even ketchup! Cooking oil... Tinfoil.... Everything we needed was there! The whole hut was beautiful clean and neat, and everything was very well thought of and planned out. The views were beautiful, no sound of passing traffic, lots of bird life, and the hut felt very private. My partner and I fished into the late evening and started early 5h30am the next morning. Mark came to our hut as agreed 10am punctually to deliver warm crispy croissants and bread rolls, with an assortment of jams and honey, we felt so spoilt! We felt the safety of knowing our hosts were nearby, with such kind hearts and warm smiles, ready to assist or help us in any way, but never on top of us. We broke a Champaign flute, and they replaced it right away. We ordered beef burger patties, sausages and bacon, a bbq charcoal pack and firewood to sit around the outside fire under the stars one night. The meat was so delicious we ordered more to take away with us. The fishing was great, we caught loads of fish. We could sit anywhere around either of the two fishing lakes. The farm is huge and we were welcome to walk the grounds and possibly see some deer. The hut was lovely and warm on arrival with the heater on. Definitely will be back.

Excellent campsite with great features, very family friendly. Our boys loved running around and exploring and making new friends. And while being super close to Norwich, it doesn't feel that way at all!
