I had a lovely stay, Despite visiting in October, the Shepard’s hut kept me nice and warm. The hut was as pictured and described. There were lots of lovely nearby walks. The Shepard’s hut was very accommodating for the dogs too who enjoyed their stay and use of the field. Thank you.

We had a wonderful time late in the season it was sunny, quiet and very peaceful, lovely night sky. Facilities excellent everything has been thought of, showers particularly good! The woods are spectacular! Farm shop a must - great choice of lovely produce. Everyone super friendly, would highly recommend.

I recently stayed at Dorothy and it was everything I didn’t know I needed. From the moment I arrived, I felt wrapped in peace; the kind that quiets the mind and nourishes the soul. The setting is serene, tucked away from the buzz of everyday life, and offers a rare kind of stillness that invites you to truly breathe.
The hut itself is beautifully designed; cosy, clean, and full of thoughtful touches that make you feel instantly at home. Waking up to birdsong, sipping tea with views of open fields, and falling asleep under a sky full of stars, it was a gentle reset for my mind, body, and spirit.
Whether you're looking to reflect, recharge, or simply disconnect from the noise, Dorothy is the perfect retreat. I left feeling lighter, clearer, and deeply grateful.

Earth Camp was a great place to pitch a tent and relax for a lovely weekend outdoors. The facilities are solid and the pizzas on Saturdays are excellent value for money. Certain parts of the field are a bit sloped, so make sure to arrive early to get the best pick of the pitches!

2 nights at Hendred Farm Huts
Stayed at Dorothy and it was the perfect stay especially as we were celebrating my boyfriends birthday. We were lucky enough to have the whole area to ourselves, and the weather was beautiful. We loved the peacefulness and hearing the church bells in the distance was and added bonus. The bed was very comfortable and we adored the shepherd's hut and loved that every little detail was thought off even the spare phone chargers. Pub was a lovely surprise just how close it was and the food was exceptional

We spent a lovely relaxing weekend at Martha with our old pooch and we loved it. We did alot of laying about on the grass and listening to the abundance of birds. The barn owl hunting every evening in the field was a first for us and very special. The hut was kitted out nicely and felt comfortable. It's very cosy. We really enjoyed our time there and felt revived by the serene atmosphere.

Lovely place. The compost toilets, showers and washing-up area were all clean, although I did miss having a rubbish bin near the sinks. The pitches in the Pixies Paddock field are unmarked - when we arrived, someone else had pitched a tent in our designated spot, but the owner was very relaxed and said we were free to camp anywhere.
The Pixies Paddock field was lovely and quieter, but you have to walk to the other field to wash dishes (it wasn’t far away). Also, there is not a proper sink to brush your teeth like in the other field - only a tap with drinking water. A brand-new shower was built in our field just before our arrival. Each field only has two showers (they are nice and hot), but they were enough since it wasn’t busy. We had plenty of space for the children to run around and play.
There’s a café on-site that we didn’t use, but it was nice to have the option. The other campers were lovely and our Flat-Coated Retriever had a fantastic time.
Great value for money overall. We had a lovely weekend and would highly recommend it!

We loved our stay at Dorothy at Hendred Farm Huts. The hosts were brilliant and made sure that if we needed any help they would be available. The hut was immaculate and well stocked up. We would rebook in an instant, could not recommend more highly.

Beautiful setting, beautiful shepherds hut! Such a comfy bed and only a few minutes walk to a lovely pub with delicious food. The views are stunning and the shepherds hut is beautifully furnished. Wish we could have stayed longer! Highly recommend!
