The site known as "Million Dollar View", never fails to deliver a stunning backdrop for our vacations to the Berkshires, no matter the time of year!
My wife and I, recently finished up our 5th trip to Vermont, while staying at Nick's property. This Hip Camp location is hard to beat in the way of beautiful long distance views, a well kept camp site/ beautifully cared for land, and it's general proximity to Williamstown and other areas.
This site is perfect for those who enjoy a primitive camping experience. Before you even arrive to the camp you'll enjoy a short drive through old growth forests! We won't give away all the hidden treasures of Nick's property, you'll have to find those on your own! If you're looking for a quiet, well kept and truly special spot to camp, this is it! Nick has certainly earned a repeat customer with us, and we feel very fortunate that this spot is available. We respect the property and appreciate the work that has gone into making it truly one of the BEST primitive camping experiences in the area!

We loved the spot. Leveling was a bit of a challenge since our rig doesn't have levelers. Got pretty good with some flat rocks from the fire pit.

We tent camped at the Million Dollar View site. It was a perfect spot with a wildflower meadow and a stunning backdrop of the mountains. Our stay was comfortable and quiet and our host, Nick, provided great directions for us to easily find our site on arrival. We'd highly recommend this Hipcamp for a perfect Vermont camping experience!

We had an amazing time tent/car camping! The vista is stunning and the open field makes for great star gazing. The campfire is well placed with lots of space for many chairs. Short distance from lots of great places to eat/go swimming/antiquing/hiking/biking. Highly recommend!

This was a great spot. Nicks property is beautiful and well maintained. We didn’t stay at the site with “the million dollar view” but it’s no exaggeration. Really spectacular! The only negative was the incessant barking dogs down the road on our first night. But overall we had a great time and would love to come back for that “million dollar view.” Thanks Nick!

We stayed at this site and wow! The view is breath taking! There were 3 nice spots for us to set up camp, we choose the middle which had a huge firepit with table and chairs and nice tree coverage.
Privacy was good, no noise pollution except the wilderness animals. :)
Fantastic camping experience, Nick was prompt with his replies and directions on point.
Great cell service up here too! Thank you for sharing your property!

Great location! It's just a short drive from town (10 mins or so) so you can quickly pick up any supplies or enjoy a meal out if needed. Despite being near the road, the site feels peaceful and provides a nice balance of convenience and nature. Perfect for both seasoned campers and those who prefer to stay close to amenities!

Great space with beautiful views! Definitely follow the instructions to get there that the host provides! There are some gnarly roads in the area you dont want to end up on by mistake with the wrong vehicle. The site is close to lots of fun things to do. Thanks for hosting us!

An absolutely rare and stunning high elevation view, morning and night! The directions to the site were well explained, and once you're at the top there are a couple of freshly cut lawn spots to choose from, plus a picnic table and a firepit.

Breathtaking views with plenty of room to spread out! I appreciated the large fire pit along with a picnic table and chair/table set to utilize. The drive up to the sitAn amazing escape for incredible views.e was fun in 4x4. Would definitely recommend and would visit again!

We stayed at the Million Dollar View spot and it was worth every penny! The view of the mountains was amazing!! Beautiful outdoor oasis! The host was great and even brought up some firewood we requested for a reasonable price. Our only regret is that we were passing through and didn't get the chance to stay and soak in this peaceful spot! It would have been fun to explore the rest of the property.
NOTE ON DIRECTIONS: Google Maps brought us in South Mason Hill rd which it called "unpaved road" and this is a 4x4 trail (which our host warned us about). We were able to get through because I have a lifted offroad vehicle, but there is zero chance a car could get through

The other rave reviews have privacy/views etc., topics covered. I'll just add that if you tack hiking and offroading on to your camping trips (or camp because you're doing those things) the location is excellent. We were able to knock out 3 serious nearby off road trails and some great hiking in Savoy all within a 42 ish hour quick weekend trip using this as our basecamp.
Nick is clear that some leveling will be required and that's correct. There are a few good, flat tent locations on the site but if you use and RTT, a trailer or run a slide out kitchen out of your rig (mine is latter), you definitely need to plan for leveling.

While we missed the view from the top like last time we stayed, the middle is still a great, open space with a phenomenal view of the stars and total privacy. The grass was nice and mowed so we could throw the ball for the dogs and enjoy just being outside. We were just passing through for a night but the location is perfect for day-trips to the many sites and hike in the area.

Really nice experience tent camping at tge upper site in Nick’s land. Even though I was only there for a night and the following morning I’m glad I opted for the upper site with a view. Really beautiful and peaceful.

We love this spot. It's our absolute favorite getaway camping location. When we go camping we like to get lost in the wilderness and this is exactly that! We've stayed in this location a few times now and it's always perfect and just what we needed. We hope to be back soon! Thanks so much!

What a beautiful spot! Views are amazing! Nick was very nice and allowed us to use the water from his home for our shower bags. We have already been talking about going back. Super private and did I mention the view?! This would be a great spot to stay when the foliage starts to turn.

Nick’s property was a perfect spot for a quick getaway with beautiful mountain views. It was quiet and peaceful. Although not many level places to set up a tent, I made it work. My dogs absolutely LOVED having free roam of the area. The directions given were simple and easy to find off of a windy dirt road. Several trails around the area and only about 10-15 minutes from town. Verizon service worked fabulous at the site.
4WD is highly recommended - unfortunately the 4WD in my truck broke once I got to the top of the hill where the campsite is. I panicked since I was alone and 3 hours away from home, and Nick was very responsive- he rode up on his quad to not only help me take a look at the truck but brought me firewood as well. He even took the time to research issues with the model of my vehicle and offered to help me fix it the following morning while also checking up on me a few hours later to make sure I was alright. If you had to get stranded anywhere, Nick’s place would be the place to do it! He’s a very kind soul!
Once we can get the 4WD fixed, we’d love to take another trip up. One night was not enough to soak in the amount of beauty this place offers. Thanks again Nick!
