This was an absolutely beautiful spot. We were the only campers there and essentially had the small lake to ourselves. The hosts' directions were clear -- they live on site, but check in is contactless and we didn't see them at all so it felt very private. The toilet is a porta potty but utterly immaculate and equipped with a cute little sink with soap and towel supplied. We were only there a short time as this was just a stop through town to visit with a friend in Raleigh while we are on a two-month road trip. We opted to host our friend and her kids at the lake because it was so beautiful with plenty of seating around a fire pit. If you need electric/water, it is available but not right next to the place where you'd likely want to set up so a longer extension cord/hose is helpful.

This was a great spot to camp for our bikepacking trip and everyone in the group had an awesome time! Joanne was a wonderful host with great communication and the space had everything we needed. The site was easy to get to using the Greenway system and I would highly recommend. Thanks!

She made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. Was available immediately to answer any questions by email. Property was quiet, lake was beautiful.

Joanne's property is so pretty! Even though the RV site is closest to the house, you'd never know it during your stay. It felt completely private, and is so quiet. This was our third time staying, and we enjoy it every time!

Great spot for group camping! We had a group of 6 adults with three tents and had room to spread out, set up a cooking area, and the firepit. The lake is beautiful! And the grounds are well tended. The neighborhood roosters are very early risers, but otherwise it was quiet. We brought kayaks and rented the paddle boat to be out on the lake, which was really nice. Even caught a few small fish! So glad we stayed at Bell Lakes.

We enjoyed this land so much! Our 2 year olds first camping trip and this farm was great for it. We fished, walked, cooked on the fire, kayaked and more. It was so relaxing and a blast. Highly reccomend for kids and pets!

We enjoyed our stay at Bell Lakes. The host Joanne met us at the site as soon as we arrived and was very welcoming! We had the clear side of the pond to ourselves and it was relaxing and peaceful. It was also nice to be allowed to bring our kayaks which we enjoyed. We definitely want to come back again sometime! On the way out I was headed to the sunroom to sign us out but the host’s dad told us not to worry about it so hope I’m not in trouble for that lol.

We had around 30 people stay at the camp site! It was awesome! Dale let us pick grapes off his grape vines and offered us squash. It's a good place to have a camp get away with a lot of people. We enjoyed our music and brought paddle boards to use in the lake! The water was perfect temperature and we all had a blast. Joanne is a super kind great host!

Our stay was great! We are a family of two adults, a toddler and 2 dogs and all enjoyed our stay. The property was easy to find with clear instructions on location and check in. We booked a trailer to bring on-site a bit last minute due to the weather and communication around this was great! We enjoyed hanging out around the water and fire pit, playing some games and cooking out as a family.

Joanne’s property is great, the location is very convenient being close to Raleigh, it’s very quiet and the lake is amazing. We had such a great time there! The fire ring close to the lake is perfect for grilling food, and there are a few benches and tables with umbrella available too! Definitely would recommend!

The lake is just beautiful BUT if you are traveling and staying in a tent, this may not be the place for you. The neighbors can see you visibly (we were entertainment for the local kids) and there are fire ant hills on some of the only flat places suitable for sleeping. Joanne had a family emergency and wasn’t able to clean up from the previous camper so the trash can was overflowing and there was trash and broken glass around the campfire. This was of course out of her control, and is likely not typical of the site.
We ended up deciding to leave since we didn’t feel totally secure. Joanne was kind and refunded us, but it was a long drive home (after a long day of driving), which we hadn’t planned for.

This site at Bell Lakes was great. There is only one site open at this time right by the pond/lake. It's a lovely spot with a cool breeze and rustic fire pit (including some wooden chairs and benches). Power and water hook ups are accessible if needed. Very easy to get in and out (no backing in necessary). Various shaded spots to choose from. Always an orchestra of amphibians and anthropods in the evenings!

We had a great week at Bell Lakes Estate swimming, fishing, and relaxing. It was so nice to be able to sit out on the dock and my husband loved being able to take his little fishing kayak out- he caught crappie, small mouth, and one catfish. Our dog enjoyed watching the geese swim by every morning.

A nice and quiet family vacation! We absolutely loved our time here, the kids loves swimming in the lake and we had the whole place to ourselves! There is plenty to do and nice places to relax. There was lots of ducks and geese that my children loved to watch! We will definitely be back!

Bell Lakes Estate is a great camping spot for all nature lovers. It was accesible for our 13’ camping trailer. The porta potty was clean and they had an outside sink available to guests. We only stayed one night and hope to return in a the future for a longer stay.

We had a wonderful peaceful weekend! We felt very safe and had lots of privacy! Hosts were available but were respectful of our privacy! The area had great hiking! We particularly liked the Durant Nature Preserve! Highly recommend this site! We will be back! Thank you!

A little oasis not far from Raleigh. Brought our 17 foot Casita and stayed for five days, as we had business in Raleigh. There were great amenities provided, 20 amp power, water, washing station, porta jon (which was immaculate), fire pit, and picnic tables, all there at the RV spot if needed.
The grounds were clean, great fishing in the lakes,kayaks, and paddleboat available for rent, hosts very nice and informative, peaceful and quiet.
Close to Wendell, which had a good brewery and a few restaurants.
Would definitely stay again.

Right on the lake with a beautiful view. The morning brought a simultaneous pink sunrise and a moonset - right over the water. Nice touches like a gently lit restroom to help you find your way in the dark. Adults and kids had a fantastic time! Very pleasant and responsive host.
