Site 2 - In the Pines
in Prairie Creek Campground, MinnesotaWonderful secluded campground
We love this Campground. There are only four sites three are in one area and the fourth one is off by itself. We were on campsite 2 and there were people at 1 and 3. We could barely see where they were at but you still felt very private. Its a short walk in from parking but there is a cart shared by the campsites. We walked up the hill to site 4 and that was a more open site but totally off by yourself. There are hiking trails and the property adjoins a park for more trails. We walked to the huge split rock, the waterfall, and the bridge. All short hikes but wonderful! Host was super nice and brought us fresh eggs. Sadly we left a day early because I got sick in the early morning and we had to leave (not Covid related). We especially liked the quietness and the seclusion here. Unlike the state parks and bigger campground where it's noisy and you are constantly encountering other people. We definately plan on coming back in the future. It was our favorite place so far.
