Sick of busy noisy RV parks where you're parked 10' from your neighbour? We're renting large, private RV sites just 15 minutes from Wasa, BC. These are off-grid spotsâyouâll need a self-contained RV with a full bathroom and kitchen, as there are no hookups currently available.
Each site is surrounded by trees, offering space, solitude. You wonât be parked 10 feet from your neighbour here.
All sites are lakefront or pond-front, with beautiful views and a truly peaceful atmosphere. One lake has a softer clay bottom, the other is rocky with a silty baseâboth are fantastic for paddleboarding, and relaxing. We especially love swimming in the rockier one.
The property is still a bit ruggedâweâve just moved here and are looking to generate some revenue to help fund improvements. Firepits and picnic tables are provided at each site.
Please note:
Thereâs a sani-dump and small shop in Wasa, about 15 minutes away.
The road in is bumpy but fully accessible for 2WD vehiclesâjust take it slow.
Quiet hours applyâno loud music or parties, and generator use is limited to specific times.

2)..Important âď¸âď¸Please do not bring firewood from other areas to our camp as our property is heavily treed forest and we do not want any transfer of raw wood bugs. We offer $10 generous bundles of wood.
3) When you book, One tent or RV and one vehicle per site. If you are looking to book for a group of friends/family area, we can help with that.. prior to booking.
Also, we reserve the right to put you in the best possible spot to fit in a proper site for what you are camping in and what your needs are. Often people book a site thatâs completely wrong for them⌠but thatâs ok⌠we will fix it. đ
4) Smoking only on sand at sites and nowhere else on our property Please use a container to hold your butts.
5) Noise restrictions after 9pmâŚno music or loud behaviour after that. Strictly enforced. We value respect in the camp for all campers.
6) Once you book, we will reply back with important information on the phone number you booked with. Please check for our messages to you for a smooth booking and arrival.

Your access to the property leads you into the backcountry and there are numerous tourist destinations in the area. Hartley Lake, Sulfur Creek, Bull River, and the infamous Heiko's Trail are all nearby. Access biking, hiking, and ATV trails from your campsite.
All this privacy and yet only a short distance to Fernie.
We have a picnic table, potable water, and wifi available. Pets are welcome and campfires are permitted.
There are no washrooms onsite and we only accept self contained campers.

Enjoy camping on our 25-acre property just outside of Cranbrook, BC!
We have multiple spots to choose from. You can camp beside the creek, in an open field, or up high with beautiful views of the valley. It all depends on your preferences and the privacy that you desire.
We welcome tent and RV campers. If you're bringing an RV, there are sites that do not require levelling and we can accommodate vehicles up to 75ft in length.
Bring your animals - there are a lot of great spaces for them to play! Our yard is equipped for horseback riding with a horse ring and stable.
The property is a great step-off point for ATV, dirt bikes, horseback and hiking adventures.
Potable water, toilet, picnic table, wifi and showers are available.
Pets welcome, campfires permitted.
We are a 15-20 minute drive to Cranbrook. As the basecamp of the Kootenay Rockies, Cranbrook has it all - From all the trails one can dream of to multiple award-winning golf courses all within a 20-minute drive out of town, Cranbrook is an outdoor enthusiast's paradise.

We loved our stay with Berny and Stuart!! The double date was beautiful, spacious and clean. We visited during a hot spell, and there was plenty of shade!
We had the pot pies and veggies, and they were delicious, everything fresh from the garden! Loved jt!!
Berny and Stuart are so warm and welcoming. They go above and beyond to be excellent hosts!

We absolutely loved this camp spot. It is incredibly beautiful with lake and mountain views. You've never had so much space at a campground. I slept better than I have in months. Also, Justin is a great host and was super responsive to all our questions.
We are rookie RVers and we were worried about the road, having read all the comments. We had absolutely no problem at all getting in there with the beat up rental 25 ft class C that we were driving. Honestly, it was way easier than the road we had just been driving to get into the Chinook Provincial Recreation Area in Alberta. It's not like washboard and potholes, it's more just like uneven with some ruts. We went slow and it was totally comfortable. We look forward to returning to this special place!

This is one of those places you donât want to share because it is so amazing! The hosts were very communicative - follow the directions they give you! Plenty of space to roam around, two lakes and amazing views! Make sure you bring bear spray and are bear aware! We will definitely be back!

Berny and Stuart were extremely gracious hosts - they opened up a site for us last minute during our winter road trip and showed us to it personally when we arrived. They gave us lots of tips on the area as well. The land itself was lovely, all the camp spots seemed to have their own little piece of personality. I've also never seen such well looked after port-a-potties anywhere, they were very comfortable. Thanks Berny and Stuart!

Quiet, rustic and a great fire pit, Worthy of a respectful campfire.
We drive a 25' motorhome to the site. About 20 minutes each way over some primitive roads, but we found it worth it.
I understand that Justin has owned the property for a little over a year and I have no doubt there will be improvements season after season.

Another season has wrapped up at Blacksmith Landing and I definitely left the camp very emotional! We absolutely love this place. The campground is immaculate, so well taken care of. Every activity you might want to do is close by, more beautiful lakes to choose from than you have time for! The owners are the most hospitable, lovely people (with the best stories!) and the FOOD. Worth the trip on it's own. Our entire family cherishes every weekend here and we can't wait until next season!!!!

We absolutely loved our time at Bernie & Stuart's! They were incredibly warm and welcoming, and we're so grateful they opened up their stunning property to campers, like us. We purchased & were treated to a delicious meal and treats from Bernie.
The hike on the property to the breathtaking Kootenay River view was a highlight, as was finding the charming tree book nook. For anyone boondocking, Bernie's "cutest little loo" is a huge plus!
We highly recommend staying here!! You will love it!

Our time at Cept Ranch was wonderful, it is so quiet, beautiful views, the lake was wonderful. The ride in is a bit rough, but totally doable. If you enjoy being off grid, this place is fabulous. The host Justin was very accommodating and super great to deal with.

Bernie and Stuart are such wonderful people. You can really feel and are that they put their heart and soul in running the campground. They waited for us at the gate (as they do for every camper!!) and gave us a warm welcome.
In the morning we ordered some home made cinnamon rolls and they were delicious. After that we took a walk towards the campground ridge (about 20mins) and enjoyed the breath taking views of the Kootenay river.
We had a blast!
