Orrasis Ranch, RV, Get Away
Spring break stay
We had a great 3 day stay in the RV rental.it really did have everything you would possibly need and the wood for fire add on purchase was perfect. All you need is clothes and food and you are set. There was more than enough room for our family of 5 .it was clean. Peaceful. All other renters were so friendly and our hosts were incredibly helpful for us being first time rvers not knowing how to work anything lol and just very kind and welcoming in general.we already can't wait to return for the summer 🌞

Cozy Camping
This is a really cute place that was close to a couple of state parks and several other areas to hike. It is pretty basic and the individual sites do not have electricity or water, but it was really no big deal, they do have a bath house very nearby with a warm shower and sink to wash up. it was really cute and comfortable. The owners were very communicative and friendly. I would absolutely recommend this to a friend.

Will be back! Roosters are gone
My daughter and I had a really lovely time at Orrasis Ranch. Kent and Nancy were warm and welcoming, and the three tent campsites are all beautiful and unique. Since we were the only tent campers for the weekend, we got our pick of the Wander, Ponder, and Linger sites. We settled for Ponder in the middle of the 3.
The daughter of our hosts was happy to show my daughter around the property and introduce her to the playground, which has a sandbox and fast slides.
The neighboring roosters mentioned in earlier reviews have since been removed, so we had no trouble getting to sleep. We look forward to coming back!

Bait House
Cozy Tiny House, Magical Garden
We had originally planned to tent camp in the area, but weeks of 100+ days sent us scrambling for AC. The Bait House offered everything we needed for a comfortable weekend getaway.
The property is a secret garden to be discovered through exploration. So many beautiful plants and places to sit and watch the pollinators! The sky is dark and we spent both nights laying in the yard, spotting meteors and satellites.
The house was well-provisioned with towels, pillows, and K-cups. There were supplies for cooking, and access to a grill. No hot plate, but the microwave and fridge were perfect for our needs.
We LOVED the outdoor shower. The full-sized bed was very cozy and perfect for two, but there are other rentals on this property if you need more sleeping space.
Nearby Shaffer Bend rec area was incredibly beautiful. Tons of beach for swimming and trails for hiking.
We would stay again in a heartbeat!

Sumac Sunrise
Great spot for car camping. Super easy to find if you follow the directions. Checking in and out was easy as well. It was nice to listen to the wildlife around us and the campsite was clean.

Lovely spot - may need ear plugs
Sumac sunrise was a comfortable overnight camp spot for our party of 2 (plus dog). The pull-in spot was well suited for our truck bed tent set up. We appreciated the warm shower and toilet facilities, as well as some paths to walk the dog around. The only unpleasant aspect was the constant noise from a large nearby rooster farm (continuous crowing from about 5am-11pm). We recommend ear plugs for early sleepers / late morning risers.

Angel's Landing Bunkhouse
Camping with a touch of comfort
Very quaint bunkhouse, slept all of us very comfortably, we took our 3 grandsons with us. The boys loved having the playground right outside the door, and they also loved the cats and even renamed them. The bathhouse wasn't too bad, a bit rustic but the sawdust helps things smell better. Having a shower with hot water was very nice, and being closely located to Marble Falls and all the attractions there meant that we didn't have to do a ton of driving. The only drawback was that Texas had a burn ban in effect so we were unable to have a campfire, but there is a great place for one and with plenty of firewood so we would not have to buy or bring our own. The other nice thing was having a microwave and small fridge, but the boys really liked the small TV/VCR combo and a nice family friendly/kid friendly VHS movie selection, the only thing the boys didn't understand was the fact that the movies had to be rewound, they never heard of such a thing, I guess we are old.

Quaint, Fantastic family getaway
My family of 5 loved the rustic quaint cabin. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the ac was great. The property and the natural landscaping were really beautiful. The number of butterflies was extremely enjoyable. The playground had everything our 5-year-old could ask for, including kids to play with. The hosts were fantastic, super communicative on the days leading up as well as during our stay. 5 stars

The campground is beautiful. The beach is down the road for a great place to swim. Kent was very accommodating to our changing plans and amount of people. If you stay at the Wander sight make sure to have headphones or ear plugs though if you want to sleep in. There are roosters next door that will get to singing early. Still a beautiful place and would recommend anyone to stay here for a weekend getaway.

Lovely Place to stay
Lovely property right off scenic 1431. The bathroom and shower facilities were thoughtful and well maintained. There are 3 tent camping sites and multiple RV sites. The neighbors have a sizable Rooster farm and the wander site is pretty close to it, but we asked Kent and Nancy on our second night if it would be alright to move over to the ponder site and they were totally cool with it. Super friendly hosts, great location around beautiful nature, and every amenity you could think of! Highly recommend

The camp site was beautiful with easy access to the bathroom, fire pit and picnic table. Only down side was that the site was about 50 yards from a road, so not the quietest night of camping, but still a really beautiful place to enjoy nature.

Angel's Landing Bunkhouse
Cozy and clean
The cabin was very nicely kept and cozy, we got it because it had AC but it ended up being cold so the space heater they had in there came in really handy. Our kids loved having a campfire and a playground to play on. The playground and the bathroom are shared spaces so keep in mind that there are other people using those spaces. We loved cooking our food over the fire, there was a propane grill available for use too.

Orrasis Ranch RV site, BELIEVE
Beware the roosters!
Orrasis Ranch looks like a long term living arrangement for some RV-ers. It is situated on the corner of the main road from Austin to Marble Falls and quite convenient to Marble Falls. There were stray cats everywhere but in a conversation with a local in Marble Falls that is quite common for the area.
Our site "Believe" was next to a tiny house up the back with a tall wire fence behind and a road on the other side. It was the most isolated of the sites though perhaps not the most private or picturesque. The tiny house and cabin looked fairly new and well kept and the composting toilet was clean and maintained. The unpowered tent sites at the bottom of the hill were well spaced and inviting with a woodland trail that looped around to the rest of the property. Our kids had a great time in the playground (6 and 4 years old).
There were two detracting factors for this property for me. One is the neighboring rooster farm. In our camper and further away it was loud enough but if you were a tent camper you'd be physically closer and with no sound buffer.
The second was the trash in the back portion of the property. The owners have clearly made a big effort to spruce up the area around the main house, the playground and one of the cabins. They have installed a communal fire pit, seeded new grass and created pathways and garden beds. A little further away there are vans that look like they haven't moved in a long time and large piles of random scrap strewn around.
I feel like $45 a night was a bit steep for what it was.

Precious property
It was such a charming place. We didn’t explore too much but just walking back and forth to the vehicle a couple times it looked awesome. The site we were on was wonderful. Well kept and not too close to the other sites so it felt more private and comfortable. The location is right off the main road which is super convenient. It’s not a major highway but the road gets a tad bit busy during the day so you hear some road noise but by the time you get settled for bed the road is settling down too. Overall it was an awesome trip and we would love to visit again!

We had fun & made the most of this property. We booked all three tent sites so our four families could spread out and have the tent grounds to ourselves. We had plenty of room to hang out, play games, and relax under the trees. Shaffer Bend Recreation Area is nearby and the sandy beach on the lake was awesome. The owners were friendly and helpful upon arrival and during our stay. The toilet was fine and the shower was pleasant but I’m glad we weren’t sharing it with other camp groups. Even though we had a good time, it’s worth knowing that it’s not a quiet area. So plan ahead and pack some good ear plugs to muffle the trucks driving by and the fifty plus roosters that crow at all hours of the night.

We had a great time at this property, all except the neighboring roosters and road noise. We had four families and booked all three tent sites. So we had plenty of room to hang out, play an impromptu whiffle ball game, and relax under the trees. Shaffer Bend Recreation Area is nearby with hiking, mountain bike trails and a beach. The owners were friendly and helpful upon arrival and during our stay. Even though we enjoyed the property and it was a cool spot, know that you may need to bring some good ear plugs to muffle the fifty plus roosters that crow at all hours of the night. It was difficult to sleep with all the noise.

Orrasis Ranch Campsites
We spent the weekend camping at the Orrasis Ranch, we liked the campsite, it had a nice picnic table, fire pit, trash can, and the host left some wood to start the fire. The restroom was clean and we were able to take a hot shower. The downside was the loud noise from the roosters from the neighbors’ ranch. I think they have many in there. They start making noise from 1 am all the way to next day in the afternoon.

Fun, Well Shaded Camping Spot
Kent was extremely hospitable to our group! We headed out for a 2 day camp at their private site while going to inks lake during the day. It was a quick drive there and back. They made us feel at home, allowing us to use the bathroom in their house and were available for any questions at a moment's notice. The site itself was nicely shaded and had a firepit, plenty of good spots for tents!

Exceeded expectations
Our stay at Orrasis exceeded our expectations! The site was very private and we hardly saw another person while we were there! The bathroom was so cute and CLEAN! We were able to take a hot shower and wash dishes after meals. The host has a large pile of wood that we were able to help ourselves to for the fire, which was an added bonus. We brought our 2 daughters, 5 and 7 years old. They didn’t want to leave! They loved the playground, and the rock climbing wall. My favorite part of our stay was getting to see fireflies at night! They were everywhere and it was absolutely magical. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful and unique
Our stay here was wonderful! Kent and Nancy were so kind and welcoming. They gave us a tour of the property and guest passes down to the lake as soon as we arrived! The site is so unique and beautiful. They have a butterfly garden and painted cute little details all over. They provided us with toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, little lamps, etc. and the shower was clean and worked well. Definitely recommend staying here!!

Wonderful
This place is so beautiful!! The hosts Kent and Nancy were so kind and welcoming. They gave us a tour of their place and even gave us passes to go down to the lake. We camped for three days and the site was so fun with unique little details everywhere. They even gave us firewood for our fire!
