RV/Camper spot located just 4 miles from downtown Austin, offering the perfect balance of convenience and a cozy neighborhood atmosphere within a gentrifying area. Enjoy easy access to all that Austin has to offer while staying in a secure and comfortable setting.
This RV/Camper spot is on a city-sized lot (less than ⅕ acre) next to my house, with a space measuring 75 feet long and featuring a 12-foot entrance. While the angled entrance from the street through the front gate may pose a slight challenge for larger rigs or trailers, there is ample room to tandem park a towed vehicle in front of your RV.
A 30-amp electric hookup is conveniently located on the side of the house, with water access available from the rear. While sewer hookups are not available, we are happy to discuss nearby options for dumping gray and black tanks.
During your stay, we'll be residing in the house but will respect your privacy while remaining available to assist with anything you might need. There’s even a "catio" in the backyard, where you might catch a glimpse of our shy and elusive cats! We’re pet-friendly and welcome your furry companions but kindly ask that you clean up after them.

This was a good stay for us. Alex was very helpful and accommodating. The spot was very level and the electricity + water was very appreciated and used. It was quiet at night with restful sleep.
I think for a Class B RV this works well. We drove to the local YMCA daily for showers + workouts and then explored Austin during the day. In the evening we returned and then took Ubers/Waymos to various downtown / South Lamar / South Congress locations for dinner, drinks, and dancing. Non surge Uber pricing was about $15-$18 each way.
Larger rigs would have more challenges I think, so use caution and talk with Alex about details of what he can genuinely accommodate.
All in, the price was very right for us and we had a great trip. Thank you.
This is a great spot near downtown Austin. Alex was so friendly and very responsive. I felt safe and had great service for my
Verizon hot spot. Would definitely come back here.
Perfect location for us for 2 evenings. Our hosts were excellent and we appreciate the safe spot to land while we attended our friends 90th bday party in Austin. Mahalo again.
Finding an affordable spot in Austin is difficult. Frankly, if a campsite is open at McKinney Falls State Park that is a better option (includes water, electricity, bathrooms, showers) for about the same price. but they fill up fast. Alex’s place wasn’t too far from downtown, and felt safe. The space (his driveway) was large and flat and was easy to access. Alex answered messages and encouraged any questions.
If you only need a basic place to park your RV and sleep overnight and you are self contained, Alex’s place fits the bill.
Great to get if visiting, I recommend only rv’s for the spot. (I took a pop up camper, no restroom on site so made some things a little tricky). Host was very flexible and good communication. Worked out for the event I was visiting for.
Alex was an awesome host with a great spot close to all the fun Austin activities we came for that had plenty of shade to stay cool during the day, but not too much tree coverage to obstruct Starlink reception. 10/10 would recommend to a friend!
Nice spot for a smaller rig, but my 24 class c with one slider out was too tight ro open slide out. So we just stayed one night. We could use bed without the slide out
Camping in Alex's yard was great. He was a friendly host. The place is so close to 6th St that ride shares cost less than parking. I got good reception on my Starlink and felt comfortable leaving it set up at night.
