Great Location
Great Location. Close to Town and the river. Shane was really nice and greeted my son and I on arrival at our site. Plenty of room, limited to 5 sites which gives everyone privacy. Will be back with the whole family soon. Cheers.

Spacious mowed camping
Beautiful mowed grass area that was very spacious from the other campers. Very close walking distance to town and the creek. Loved that we could pick up fire wood on the property from anything that was dead already.

What a beautiful spot. Huge lush grassy area and a short stroll from the town. We stayed at site 1 which was great because it got the afternoon shade from the trees. But if we were to stay again I think we would book site 3. We had the whole property to ourselves which was really nice. Each site has its own fire ring and it was so nice to sit by the fire of a night. We met Shane the morning we left and he was really lovely. This spot was a real hidden gem.

Site 5 - Kenilworth Rural Camping
Excellent camping location
What a magical little part of Kenilworth. We loved camping here in our caravan and with our 3 dogs. There were 5 sites, all very spacious and as private as you wanted to be. We had avilable sun for our solar and shade from the heat, under magnificent camphor laurel trees. The little creek/waterway on the site was dry..... but within a 300 metre walk we had access to the Mary River, which at the time of writing was low, and in need of a good downpour. Nonetheless we all including the dogs enjoyed exploring the River. Great spot for kyaking.
There was a generous fire pit in place, and we sourced wood from the showgrounds for $15/bag. The grounds are kept very well maintained by Shane the Host, who by the way was a welcoming courteous good all round bloke.
This location is also very close to town and well within walking distance, if you choose.
We really enjoyed our stay here, and highly recommend to anyone looking for top spot!!

Highly recommended
Beautiful spot. Easy walk to town but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet. Site 3 was perfect. Shade accessible all day. Plenty of space between sites. Definitely recommend staying here. Didn't take the dogs but would have been a great spot for them. 🐶🐶

A perfectly manicured grass paddock that is quiet and tranquil, very close to Kenilworth township and the Mary river is a short walk away for a swim.

If you are wanting a small, quiet, shady campground - This is it!! Short walk to Kennilworth Main Street. Short walk to the River. Fire Ring at each of the 6 sites & plenty of wood under the trees. Great Communication with the Host - Shane. Will definitely be back!

Perfect spot to relax. Green grass that had been mowed, a short walk to Kenilworth for a famous donut or the Kenilworth dairy. Shane came around to make sure we had settled in ok and tell us that the creek was a very short walk down the property and a quick drive up the road was the Fig Tree walk which we did.

Weekend in Kenilworth
We loved camping at Shane’s property. The site was so well looked after and the sites were a fantastic distance that allowed everyone to have there own space. So close to the town and Mary river which was super convenient. Shane made sure instructions were easy to follow and made sure everyone was enjoying there stay. Will be back again one day.

Best spot close to town!
Kenilworth Rural Camping is an absolute hidden gem! We loved our stay, even extended our time as didn’t want to leave. So quiet, lush green trash, privacy and all so close to town. Loved walking down the the river for a splash around, and the sunsets were amazing! Thanks Shane, we’ll definitely be back mate!

What a glorious place to camp! Lush green campsites, miles of room and for site 4, the best shade trees!!
Close to town, which is very convenient for water replenishments at the nearby park or going to the pub!
Shane is very friendly but unfortunately we didn’t get to meet Daisy the cow.
The only real downside for our stay was no water in the billabong and very little water in the river, but paddling was still possible.

Site 1 - Kenilworth Rural Camping
Shane has a great parcel of land to camp on. The grass is cut regularly, is close to town but still quiet & relaxing with very large sites to accommodate larger groups.
