7 acres of field, forest, pond, waterfall, rapids, swimming hole! There are no bad views! Sit by the pond, sit by the creek, sit in the waterfall, sit out at Blueberry Hill for a pleasant breeze or up on SunStar Ridge for some nightly star gazing or lay back in a hammock or on zero gravity chairs 1 Bunkie on a hill overlooking the pond and 2 private tent sites, one at Boot Hill and one in the Field of Dreams. Each site has a fire pit and a compostable toilet and there is a compostable toilet in an outhouse on the property for the bunkie. Great for canoes, kayaks, bird and wildlife watching with spectacular star gazing. This property was part of an old homestead and as such I am still finding things so please respect the caution tape. Some finds are treasures (European Grapes, Bergamot, French Roses, Asparagus, Rhubarb, Ramps, Fiddle-heads) and others not so much. I am re purposing what I can and collecting the rest for disposal as I nurture this land back to what it was meant to be, paradise. There is an outdoor shower available as well. If you are green minded you are welcome here!

Site 1 FIELD of DREAMS

100%
(16)
Tent site · Sleeps 6
Pitch your tents against the evergreens and the view in all directions is beautiful. An adjoining but separate area holds your fire pit complete with chairs and just slip into the trees and look out on the field while you do your business in your composting toilet. This site is at the rear of the property so it is not by the water. You still have access to the water just take the trail  back down. The site comes with a small charcoal barbecue and a small propane stove (I don't provide the charcoal or the propane). Also on the site is a kitchen tent with table and chairs. There is a trail into the woods and parking for 1 vehicle though there is an area for overflow parking. This site is $20 p/night p/adult with a max of 4 adults.. There is no charge for children under 12 but there is a max of 6 people total for this site.

BLUE HERON BUNKIE

100%
(45)
Cabin · Sleeps 3 · 3 beds · 1 toilet
The Bunkie, is $120 per night: it comes with a deck, a rain barrel, a propane barbecue w/cylinder, a small fridge/freezer, a wood stove, bedding, lamps, a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, some cutlery, mugs, glasses, plates, bowls, a radio (plays albums, cds and cassettes),and a Sirius XM unit. There is a double bed and an upper bunk, so comfortably can sleep 3 but 4 is doable if 2 are children.  There is a fire pit, an outhouse and a compostable chamber pot inside.  There is a main trail that goes to the back of the property with some side trails to get into the forest for short hikes. There are star gazing spots along the main trail and by the pond and a screened gazebo by the water which are available for all to use. There is an outdoor shower also available. You are welcome to roam bearing in mind there are 2 Tent Sites further back on the property and they are private campsites. I have tried to maintain ample privacy between all sites and also preserve wildflowers and milkweed for our pollinators and monarch butterflies. There is overflow parking available on the property. Dogs are welcome but must be friendly, well behaved and controlled at all times and you do need to let me kmow if you are bringing one.. The town is 200 years old and was a mining town originally. The Hastings Heritage Trail is close by and the Crowe River and Crowe Lake are 15 minutes away. We are family friendly, 420 friendly, LGBTQ friendly, hate has no home here.
