Wilderness Shores Ranch Campground!

This was the best camping I’ve done in a while. Beautiful place, nice staff and clean bathrooms. The owner took us on the UTV tour, he’s very nice and funny. The animals were so much fun to feed and see them freely grazing and walking around. We’ll definitely be back.

Amazing first time camping!

We had such a wonderful experience camping here! From the moment we arrived, everything felt well-organized, clean, and welcoming. The campsite itself was spacious and thoughtfully laid out, with plenty of shade and just the right balance of privacy and community. The facilities really stood out—bathrooms and showers were clean and well-maintained, which made a huge difference, especially with kids. There were also great amenities and activities that kept everyone entertained without feeling overwhelming. One of our favorite parts was how peaceful and family-friendly the environment was. It felt safe, relaxed, and easy to enjoy nature without sacrificing comfort. The staff was friendly and helpful whenever we had questions. Overall, this was such a positive first (or repeat) camping experience for our family. We left feeling refreshed, happy, and already talking about coming back. Highly recommend for families looking for a fun, low-stress outdoor getaway!

We had a wonderful experience! Nothing like seating down for a meal and having a longhorn right next to you! Beautiful place, very peaceful, just what we were looking for on our very first camping trip! Goats were a hit with our children, specially the baby goats!!! If we could change one thing is how close to the main road the place is, we could still hear and see some traffic.. other than that great place to have a camping experience with little ones

Best Spring Break Ever!

We will 1000% be returning in the near future! Our 3 kids (aged 9, 7 and 4) had the best spring break there and Cara at the front check in was great too! Everything is just such an experience and we can’t wait to return! Our kids especially loved being able to pet and feed the Billy goats and their precious babies!

I truly loved the views! You can kayak, have picnics in different areas, and I absolutely loved seeing the animals walking around freely. The bathrooms were clean, there were garbage cans everywhere, and the staff were very kind and helpful. Such a wonderful place!” 🌿 I will definitely come back with family next time.

Camping with animals!

What a place! We enjoyed every minute of our stay here. Clean sites with fire pits (some with grills too), water and picnic tables. Cows, horses, goats roaming free. Water access for those that’d like to fish! Will definitely come back!

Absolutely loved our time at Wilderness Shores! It was incredibly laid back & relaxing; beautiful views, friendly animals & people! Bathrooms were clean & the warm water was great! Highly recommend taking a horseback ride!

Oak Forest RV AC Hookups

We loved camping at Wilderness Shores! Our favorite part was feeding and petting the animals. The camping sites are very clean. The bathhouse is private and clean with warm water: The staff is very friendly and welcoming. We will be booking our next stay very soon. Toddler friendly place. The kids and dogs loved it. Also there wasn’t a lot of bugs so that was a plus.

We had such an amazing experience here. From arriving and seeing the adorable animals and scenery, greeted so friendly, and setting up camp at such a beautiful spot on the water. The place is kept up well and offers so many cool experiences with the trails you can walk on, water and the goats and cows you can feed and interact with. Such a unique experience even just staying for a night was wonderful. Will definitely be returning. Highly recommend! So much fun

Tons of shore to fish and explore. Awesome to see all the animals roam freely throughout the campsite and the restrooms were the best I’ve seen for a campground. Will be back but next time I’ll be getting food to feed the goats and longhorns!

I loved rooftop camping on Paul’s land! Ground is level and easy to set up on. Cow and goat feeding was so fun! Loved riding around the land and seeing all the wildlife.

Tent camping was fantastic. My two boys loved being right on the water and that the goats and longhorns walk right up to the tent. Clean showers and bathrooms, friendly staff, and small camp store stocked with camp essentials. Will definitely return in the future

Stuff is very friendly nd helpful. Facilities were very clean, landscape and sites were very spacious and great views. Free range animals were very enjoyable. Definitely worth the money and the trip. But be prepared for the train, sirens of the fire stations and the wild birds at night. Don’t forget your ear plugs !

You won't feel

I have been coming to wilderness shores since they opened. The Pipers and a group of us have made it a point to come 3-4 times per year. Paul and his team make you feel welcomed. It has gotten considerable busier which is a good thing. The bathrooms need some sprucing up but besides that... amazing as always

The campgrounds are gorgeous and the roaming cattle are magical. The staff was lovely! Everyone was friendly and helpful. I would not stay in the Oakwood forest again. I would stay in another area for three reasons: 1) the site is too far from the bathrooms 2) a train comes by and shakes the ground, in addition to being extremely loud. 3) there was construction going on and that was just off putting. They need more bathrooms. There are five bathroom/showers and for the amount of people that camp on a busy weekend — it is not nearly enough. We will return and stay in a different area. We absolutely loved the rest of the experience.

This place is absolutely fantastic. The campsites are so well maintained, the scenery is incredible & Paul is the best (make sure you get to hear one of his jokes after you check in). There are beautiful longhorns roaming around the campsites and goats in a pen you can go feed. Oh and the bathrooms? Impeccable. So clean and very nice. Truly cannot recommend this place enough. We will be back!!!

Camping with the animals!!!!

It was an absolutely amazing experience. We woke up one morning with Texas longhorns and calfs eating grass right outside our tent. The next morning is was horses and a donkey. Not behind a fence or where you had to walk to see them. Roaming right around your camping site. Our board game was interrupted when a group of goats came and joined us at the table and wanted to see what we were doing. The atmosphere was amazing, staff friendly and helpful. Memories unforgettable. We will be back and already have friends asking us where we were at. Just bring extra shoes, cow patties are part of the experience.

Great place to get outdoors and enjoy a little bit of Gods country, Waking up to the Long Horns in your camp or the goats running around looking for a handout, it is the best possible disconnect from the daily grind! Bass fishing in the endless finger lakes was awesome, not just fishing but a little bit of catching. Horse back riding with Rachel was huge highlight that allowed us to see the entire property, a must do! Paul and his team work hard to provide the best possible experience in a peaceful setting to allow you to get back to the simple basics and enjoy what we take for granted! Take one night and treat yourself to one of the nice restaurants in downtown Lakeland ! Regards, Pat
