She is the hostess with the mostest. Camp dog Bella was very welcoming also. We had plenty of space and despite very cold and moderate Temps, yurt was comfortable at all times. I did bring extra blankets but all.other bed linens were provided. The creeknis lovely. We were fortunate to have it almost all tomourselves mid week.

This spot is super quiet and beautiful. The bathrooms were very clean. Amanda is super helpful, we forgot our air mattress was a plug up and she didn't hesitate to let us plug up it to her RV. Her property looks very well cared for, it's definitely a special spot that we were happy to visit and hope to be return to.

My Husband and I had the best time staying at Amanda's camp site. It was so peaceful and felt like home! Everything was VERY clean, and you could tell she spends the extra time to ensure all sites are kept at a high standard! Not only is the campsite amazing the trails and beach area on the river is an awesome place for a good book or game of cornhole! We Kayaked the river; it was such an easy float only steered the entire float. convenient to other kayak locations and only a 45 min drive to the beach. Not only will we be back but we will be bringing our families back for a vacation.

Exactly what we needed!
I cannot say enough great things about Wandering Path! Amanda is incredibly kind, personable, and knowledgeable. Prior to our arrival she had provided me with more information and details on our stay/directions than any host I have rented from. I really appreciated that. The area is simply gorgeous. The set up at the sites are simply decorated with a comfortable bed and necessities. It was almost like being in a fairytale in the woods! Plus, this place has the BEST Camp Dog - Bella! We will definitely be back and will be recommending to friends and family.

Exactly what I needed! ❤️
Amanda is such a great host! She is very sweet and does a great job keeping the place up! She really goes out of her way to help out and make sure your stay is one to remember! Bella is her fur baby, she popped by our site a couple times and we loved it!! She is such a laid back dog who is living her best life! 🐕 We stayed the weekend at site #8 hike-in. I highly recommend it!!!!! We brought a wagon which was perfect to help bring stuff in. Pictures do not do this place justice! It’s so serene and private. We had a cold snap with rain but still really enjoyed our stay! This site is very roomy and the solar string lights were beautiful at night . There is a fire ring and nice pinic table there as well as a tiki torch. ( you’ll need to bring fuel insert). The bath house was very clean and unique. The cedar wood smells wonderful! She really pays attention to detail. I can tell she has put a lot of time and effort into her beautiful slice of paradise! Myself and family felt very safe there. This will now be my go to place. I can’t wait to book my next trip! Thanks again Amanda!

Blissful camping on a lovely river
In a word - blissful. We had the hike-in site (#8), it was scenic and private. It is perched on a bluff overlooking the river. There is a lovely large beach area in the main campground as well as trails through the forest to other sandbars. The bathrooms were clean and convenient. The hosts were friendly and helpful, but not intrusive. We are already thinking of returning for our anniversary in June so that we can enjoy swimming.

We had another fantastic time!! Yurt #1 is our favorite now. Amanda is a wonderful host and keeps the place so clean. Most of the spots were full but we still felt alone in the woods. We are counting the days to our next visit! Thank you for us Amanda. Hope you Bella knows we missed her visits 😉

We really enjoyed our stay even in the colder weather. The yurt was clean and had electricity for my CPAP and phone charger. The yurt held heat with the space heater pretty well! The land is beautiful and the bathrooms were spacious and clean. We can't wait to go back when it's warm enough to kayak

Amazing Campsite
What an amazing campsite, the view and water is just amazing. Crystal clear water and beautiful surrounding area. The bathhouse was the best one we have ever seen and of course Amanda's sweet dog named Bella. She would come around and check on everyone and get some belly rubs and then wander off. We really loved our time here and look forward to coming back with friends soon!

Perfect, tranquil quick getaway!
We had a wonderful short stay at Amanda’s place, the Wandering Path. Amanda was attentive, quick to reply, and even offered to let us shower after our race even though it would’ve been well past check-out time. I hope we can make it down again to stay! The yurt and bathroom house was immaculately clean! I had the best sleep I’ve had in a long time our one night of staying there. Thank you for your hospitality!!

Me and my Family loved the peacefulness,,,outdoors with nice creek, hot showers, some sites you can pitch your own tent close to the creek looked awesome, and you got few tents already set up sleep in very comfortable bed and heat,,,,we stayed 3 nights ,,,can't wait come back!

A nice little getaway!
What was most notable to me about the land itself was how quiet it was out there. The hiking trail attached to it was a great little experience as well which was worth a little several hour stroll. Of course the creek being easy to walk to and hike along was an exciting addition to our stay. That is not to mention the yurt we stayed in was delightful and perfect for my girlfriend and I's needs. Even though i was not the biggest gan of the yurts being so close to each other, he other campers were so quiet that we often felt we were the only ones there which was an added benefit of privacy. Would recommend staying there for a pleasent little journey!

We were looking for something extremely private and site 8 was perfect. It’s like having your own private island. We brought a lot of stuff and had to make three trips back and forth to the parking area, but it’s an easy manageable walk. We didn’t see another person near our site or on the nearby beach area. The photos don’t do the beaches justice… there are three big sandy areas and the creek is clear with a soft sandy bottom. Really beautiful. . The host Amanda is super helpful and easy to work with, and allowed us to move into the glamping tent (#7) the last night of our stay due to an incoming storm. Highly recommend if you want to get away from everything and unplug.

I absolutely love camping here! Right on the river. Her two pups Richie & Bella are incredible camp companions. My mom & I stayed in one of the yurts! Then I just got back from camping with a friend. Great spot for fall camping, if you go in the summer you got the river to swim in. Highly recommend Amanda, she’s incredibly friendly and takes care of her campers.

We loved camping at Wandering Path campground. The site was clean and spacious. The view was so spectacular right next to the creek. Listening to the creek while relaxing in the peace and quiet was so wonderful!!!!! Amanda, our host was so friendly and helpful. Made our stay even better. Will be going back again soon

THE BEST!!!
Man where to start... This was a last minute decision to runaway from home for a night of solitude and boy was it worth it!! I have caught glimpses of this place when paddling Coldwater Creek and always wanted to check it out. I've always primitive camped but I decided to forego the work and glamp so I booked a yurt. OMG it was absolutely amazing and so freaking relaxing!! Sitting by the fire ring, listening to the wind in the trees was so worth it!! The interior of the yurt is very spacious and the bed was very comfortable, I had the best sleep I've had in a very long time!! Amanda was great with communication and her set up is absolutely awesome!! The creek is right there!! I walked down to the sandbar after I put away my stuff and could just sit there for hours. If you are looking for peace and quiet THIS is the place. Also the bathhouse is adorable and the cedar is nostalgic for me so I smiled every time I went in there, I know!! Weirdo alert. 🤣 But seriously you will NOT regret staying at The Wandering Path, I will be back!! (Maybe I'll even allow people to go with me... maybe 😅)

My husband and I were looking for a spur of the moment overnight get away after a rough week. I was in much need of decompressing. Amanda replied quickly and we were booked! When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful landscape that offered a peaceful retreat. Set along the stream, the views were wonderful and each of the campsites were set up perfectly. We chose a tent retreat that was perfect for our outing. We were greeted by Amanda and her sweet pup, Bella. Amanda was amazing and made us feel right at home. Our tent had all of the accommodations that made an impromptu trip easy! There was access for electric, and air conditioning unit and 2 fans already hooked up. A small heater, if needed, was available as well. The double bed was beautifully made, with a side table and lamp as added decor. The floor was adorned with rugs which complimented the room nicely. Very clean and well kept. The site had a nice picnic table, charcoal grill, and a fire ring. Amanda had water and firewood there for us before we arrived. The only issue we had with sleep was that the double bed was a bit snug for 2 taller and bigger people who are used to having a king size bed! We made it work though. The bath house on the property is very well kept and clean! The grounds are well lit and Amanda's personal touches throughout the campsites made it very welcoming. We recommend Amanda's for anyone wanting a beautiful nature get away! Thanks Amanda! We'll be back!
