Nomadic camping

Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.

A mowed field with beautiful views, open space, stunning western sunsets, surrounding farms and forests, and Saddle Mountain in the distance. Self-contained units are welcome. Located just 5.5 km from downtown Nakusp, with easy access to Nakusp Hot Springs and everything the area has to offer. This is not a resort or a developed campground—just a quiet field where you can park, relax, and enjoy the scenery. There are no designated campsites, so pick a quiet spot with a view you like. Expect grass, changing weather, rural surroundings, occasional farm activity, and a simple camping experience. There are no hookups, showers, dump station, or garbage service. Propane fires only. Cell service is available. Our dog and a neighboring farm dog regularly patrol the area and help keep wildlife at a distance. Coyotes, deer, and other wildlife are common, so please keep pets under control and supervise them at all times.

Most people prefer to face west, but you can orient yourself however you want. Plan on nothing extra. Just a mowed field. Self contained units only. You may also have an additional tent.
