Hi, my name is Dave. My family and I would like to welcome you to Nile Point, a secluded campsite located on 20 acres of privately owned, oceanfront property on Nelson Island, BC. I consider it the closest thing to paradise. The first you'll need to know about this property is that it's only accessible by boat. This is what makes the campsite so secluded and peaceful. Transportation to and from the island is included with your stay. The stunning 15 minute boat ride to and from Nile Point is one of the many things that makes this a truly unique experience. The second thing you'll need to know is that we offer TWO SITES on the property, a 10x16 TENT PLATFORM and a OCEANFRONT CANVAS TENT WITH ENSUITE (NEW!) with king size bed, in-tent ensuite bathroom and fully stocked outdoor kitchen with potable water, bar fridge and BBQ We have one canoe, one one-person kayak, a two-person kayak, and some paddleboards. Bring your own water exploring devices if you wish. Our beach is rocky (it ain't a sandy beach!), so bring your good water/rock shoes! This is a great place to stay and explore if you love the wild. It's off the grid, so if you want to unplug from devices and do nothing but relax or play in the ocean and explore the forest, it's perfect. That said, there is cell reception should you need it and a solar charger if you need to charge your devices. Egmont offers a pub, a fancy restaurant, and a charming convenience store with wi-fi. We can take you in to town during your stay for an additional charge of 50$ per direction. We've secured exclusive moorage at a private dock in Egmont. This is where you will park. This private parking includes secure gated access, closer proximity to our accommodations, and stunning waterfront surroundings New Dock Location: 6156 Maple Road Gate Code: 7051 (if broken, just open and close by hand) Do not park at the government wharf in Egmont. Our Oceanside Tent Platform offers private, oceanfront camping on an island paradise. The price includes the boat trip, to and from the island. The tent platform is 10x16 and can accommodate one large tent or two smaller tents. It's ideal for individuals, couples, or small families. It's the perfect place for those looking for a slower pace (not to party). You'll need to bring all your own camping gear, food, stove, and cooler. An extremely private location. Ideal for guests who prefer a lot more comfort when camping and don't want to bother with all the preparation that usually goes into a camping trip. If you're looking for a little more comfort and convenience, our oceanside luxury prospector tent is the perfect option! Nestled in the lush forest, just steps from a private pebble / rocky beach, this is the most secluded spot on the property and offers a spectacular view of Jervis Inlet. At a spacious 602 ft2, our tent offers plenty of space to relax and enjoy. Features include: • Ocean views • In-tent ensuite bathroom with toilet and sink • Outdoor, fully stocked kitchen with sink, bar fridge, BBQ and burner • Outdoor deck with seating, picnic table and propane fire pit (propane included) • King bed with bedding • Futon Sectional • Picnic Table for dining • Solar generator to plug in electronic devices (cell service available in area) • Wood-fired hot tub (subject to fire ban) Amenities include access to: • 17' Canoe • 2 person Kayak • 1 person Kayak • Paddle Board • Junior Paddle Board NOTE: You'll need to bring your own food.

Oceanside Canvas Tent with Ensuite
Our trip was amazing. The space was gorgeous, quiet, and welcoming - as advertised. Dave and Eli were helpful and went above and beyond with anything we needed, especially when our arrival time was in high tide! Use of the kayaks and paddle boards were a real plus and kept us entertained. We will definitely stay again, and we highly recommend this place if you are looking for the peace and beauty of camping, but in pure luxury!

This was our third time at Nile Point, and once again it was absolutely perfect. Eli and Dave are wonderful hosts—always welcoming and willing to help with anything you need. This was our first time staying in the safari tent, and it was such an incredible experience. The tent itself is huge with plenty of space, and the balcony overlooking the water made for the perfect evening—BBQing, relaxing, and cozying up by the fire. Nile Point truly is one of my favourite spots, and I can’t wait to come back again. Thank you, Eli and Dave!

The tent platform on Dave’s land was magical! Taking a boat to an island, leaving your car behind was very special. You need to be reasonably fit to do it, though! Swimming off the dock was fun. Dave let us use his kayak and paddle board.

Words cannot begin to describe how amazing this place is. So peaceful and beautiful, what a dream to be able to stay here. Crystal clear water warm enough to swim in, amazing views, you must experience it to describe its beauty. Flushing toilet and outdoor shower with incredible views are an added bonus. Bring your sturdy water shoes like Tevas so you can enjoy swimming and exploring the rocky beach.

Our family of 4 (boys aged 9 and 11) stayed 4 nights in the luxury canvas tent to kick off our summer vacation - terrific experience! The description is completely accurate; a secluded and beautiful spot which you feel you have to yourself (because you do!). Amazing view to wake up to. A protected little bay to paddleboard/swim/kayak in - water in July easily warm enough to swim. The tent itself is exactly like the pictures - clean, comfortable and spacious. Great outdoor kitchen / eating area. And to top it off, Dave and Eli are the most gracious of hosts - friendly and helpful, won't disturb your seclusion, but equally are quick to provide anything if you ask.

We had an absolutely dreamy time staying at Nile Point! It was so beautiful and calm and Dave and Eli were wonderful hosts who were attentive and communicative. I honestly do not have words for how stunning it is and probably one of the best showers of my life!

My daughter and I had a wonderful few days on the island, starting with the boat trip which really makes you feel like you’re leaving the world behind for a while. I loved that Dave has set up a campsite which has all the basics for a comfortable camping trip. So many thoughtful details, including the tap above the counter, with cleaning bucket, dustbin & containers to stash gear. Oh, and 2 chairs, so you don’t have to bring those. Made it so easy to settle in & enjoy our gorgeous surroundings. We loved the birds, the seals, and paddling around the bay,. Highlight of the trip was the clear water, and the incredible bioluminescence- I’ve always wanted to see that. 🤩 Thanks for sharing your slice of paradise with us.

This is was the most incredible place that we’ve had the pleasure to stay in, bar none. We only had one night but were fortunate to be there during a storm - it was the best night of sleep that I can remember. The paddle boards were a great way to see the protected inlet and the marine life was a hit with our toddler. Will and Eli were gracious and very accommodating. We’ll be back as soon as possible!

Dave is a fantastic host and the glamping tent site was amazing! We visited with our 10 year old twins and had a blast. We kayaked, paddle boarded, and swam, then ate, showered, and slept comfortably in the stunning BC setting. It is a trip our kids will never forget!

Dave's campsite was fantastic. A beautiful 10-minute boat ride to a gorgeous tent pad in the forest with a view of the water. Dave was a very welcoming host with excellent communication. Would highly recommend!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Dave’s camping site, and it was an incredible experience! From the moment we arrived, Dave and Eli made us feel welcome and ensured we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The site is beautifully maintained, with spacious pitches that offer plenty of privacy and stunning views of the surrounding nature. The amenities are top-notch, including clean restrooms, hot showers, and etc. What really sets this campsite apart is the access to outdoor activities. We enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding on the serene waters, hiking along scenic trails, and evenings by the campfire under a star-filled sky. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with excellent facilities and a host who truly cares about your experience, Dave’s camping site is the perfect choice. We can’t wait to return for another memorable stay!

Where to begin? We had such an amazing time at the campground. Pictures don't do justice to such a beautiful place. Not to mention that Dave, Eli and Zev were always kind and supportive. Beautiful views of clear ocean water and mountains in the background at this site. To top it off some of those amenities that make camping that much better like a hot shower are available. The hosts are very kind and accommodating, we really enjoyed our stay

Eli and Dave were absolutely wonderful hosts, they went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was enjoyable and we had everything we needed. We had such an incredible three night stay at the canvas tent. The location is perfect and we made so many memories kayaking around to different shores and spotting all sorts of aquatic wildlife. The interior of the tent was awesome and felt like a relaxing and comfortable home that I never wanted to leave. Dave & Eli are friendly and helpful and they have created something truly magical to share with others. If you’re considering booking, don’t hesitate! It’s too good to miss.

Dave’s property was completely outstanding. The natural beauty was truly incredible. The tent platforms were set up with beautiful views, and the outdoor shower is something I’ll always remember…if only all showers could be that stunning. Being out on the paddleboard and kayak was the perfect way to spend hot summer days. Thanks for the lovely hospitality to Dave.

Our family had a truly unforgettable experience camping on the tent platform. We spent a lot of time relaxing in our hammocks and chairs, enjoying the view . We used the available SUPs and kayaks for paddling around the sheltered cove - where we could swim - and for going to a rocky beach on nearby Captain Island. We saw a sea otter, lots of seals and sea birds and Orca whales! We were able to use the hot tub - with a magical view - since we were there before the fire ban. And the outdoor hot shower had epic views too! Dave and Eli were super friendly and helpful. They checked in with us several times to make sure we were doing okay and asked if we needed anything. We hope to come back. We’ve camped a lot in our lives and this was one of our favorite camping spots of all time.

The most private and quaint off grid camping ever for me, as a city girl, and remote camper husband. Spectacular sunrises directly facing spacious and comfy canvas tent, steaming hot wood burning hot tub, kayaking and wildlife, seeing cranes, seagulls, deer, seals, otter and baby orca. Loved every moment of our weekend getaway and an easy commute from Horseshoe Bay.

Another incredible visit to Nile Point! Thank you Dave and Veronica for being such gracious hosts and Gunther for all the snuggles! Nile Point is complete and utter paradise and even though it rained most of the time we were there we were not swayed. Lizard, snakes, sea lions, seals, and orcas - nature provided plenty of entertainment. The beach is gorgeous, the ocean is perfect for swimming and paddling. Dave provides everything to make it so comfortable - including the hot tub which was perfect to go into after getting soaked in the rain! We will be back next year!
