We absolutely loved our time at Cassie’s special pavilion! It was perfect for us as we have family in the area. BUT, even if we were just passing through…it was an awesome spot with everything we needed! It was peaceful, and semi private. We loved sitting outside in the morning drinking our coffee and enjoying the quiet time.
It’s close to many handy things as well. CVS, a grocery store, dollar store, Macdonald’s were all very close. I found a laundromat in town that was very clean and reasonably priced also.
Cassie and Brian were great hosts and very responsive. Will definitely stay again when we are in the area.

This spot has lots of trees, a covered patio with a fan, lights, and a really nice fire pit with tons of wood and kindling. It’s a flat concrete pad with full hook ups. Cassie is quick to respond. We felt safe here.

Wonderful Hosts and Peaceful Stay at Covered Bridge Pavilion”
We had an amazing stay at the Covered Bridge Pavilion. The site had everything we needed with full hookups, a covered pavilion for relaxing and dining, and a fire ring stocked with wood for perfect nights by the fire. What really made it special was Brian and Cassie. They were wonderful hosts who came over to visit with us and made us feel right at home. The property itself is quiet and beautiful with trails to explore, and it is also close to Wilson Park, disc golf, and the farmers market. For RV travelers who enjoy peaceful surroundings and great hospitality, this spot is a gem. We will definitely be back!

Lane and Dan's property is a beautiful place for a respite from your routine. Lane and Dan are great hosts and will make you feel at home. They have provided a sparkling clean pool and unique bathhouse (that even has a washing machine) and full hookups at the two shaded gravel RV sites.
Away from cable TV and WiFi, nature takes the stage at The Getaway. From your campsite you can watch the fish jumping in the pond, deer strolling across the grounds and thousands of butterflies fluttering about. At night, the dark is broken only by the moon and billions of stars above.
The only downside was that the brutal heatwave during our stay limited our outdoor activity. We will visit again.

Our site had 30 amp electric. Water was nearby. There is an on-site dump. On-site showers and bathrooms. They are working on improvements.
Owners were friendly and helpful.

Wife and I needed a few days of complete downtime and we found that here at Lane and Dan’s little slice of heaven. The hosts were amazing from the start of the reservation till the minute we headed back to reality. The bathroom/showerhouse is an amazing addition to this beautiful property. The views are spectacular, the lake has some great fish, the pool was refreshing and we’ve already booked our next trip to Lane and Dan’s property. If you don’t book here you will never know what you are missing out on.

We absolutely fell in love the moment we pulled in. Can we just live here too?!?
So peaceful, quiet, and serene. The 2 ponds were well stocked with bass, crappie, brim, & catfish. Very stunning sunsets too.
We were greeted by 4 of the sweetest & friendliest dogs and 3 cats. Our dogs felt right at home.
Amber and her husband were so sweet and made us feel very comfy ... kinda like long lost friends. Now we've made new life long friends.
Will we go back... 1000% yes. This hidden gem checked all of our boxes. Wonderful for those who just want to get away.
Thank you for allowing us to stay... 4 nights just isn't enough.

I had an amazing stay at this Hipcamp! It’s a peaceful and quiet spot, perfect for relaxing and close to stores etc. The pavilion is a lovely feature, providing a great space to unwind. Brian and Cassie are truly exceptional hosts—they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even surprising us with thoughtful Christmas gifts! I highly recommend this place and would love to return in the future.

About
A series of violent earthquakes in the early 19th century created the unique ecosystem of Reelfoot Lake State Park. Located in the northwest corner of Tennessee, the park is home to a 15,000-acre lake, which is a flooded forest—while cypress trees rise above the water, submerged cypress stumps lie beneath. The shallow lake offers boating and fishing, but swimming is not permitted. The park has five easy hiking trails that range from a half-mile to two miles in length and are popular for watching birds, including golden and American bald eagles. Two campgrounds are suitable for RVs campers and tents.
Tips for snagging a campsite
- Booking in advance can be easily done online or by phone up to one year in advance.
- The larger South Campground is the most popular of the two sites and gets extremely busy in April and May—make reservations well in advance.
- Double-check your dates before booking—a non-refundable booking fee applies.
When to go
Reelfoot Lake State Park is open year-round, but for wildlife lovers, the best time to visit is during January and February when thousands of bald eagles arrive. At this time, park staff lead daily bald eagle and waterfowl tours and the annual Reelfoot Eagle Festival takes place in February. Deep swamp canoe trips are offered in March and April and scenic pontoon boat tours are offered May through September. Visit in fall to see hundreds of migrating white pelicans.
Know before you go
- Visit the park’s camp store to pick up gear, snacks, and other supplies.
- Only certified heat-treated firewood is allowed to enter the park as outside firewood.
- You'll need a fishing license to fish in Tennessee, as well as a special lake license to fish in the lake.
