The land is mowed down, lush green with some trees in the middle and just all around beautiful. I just added gravel Rv pads and rock paths around the homestead as well as 6 large wildflower gardens. Right now there are no activities on the land. Just a place to stay if someone wants to camp or you can walk on the paths. If you have a golf cart, you can ride those on the property. I do own 5 chickens which are a delight and I sell farm fresh eggs. Produce coming this year.
The camp sites have not been broken in yet so the spots are not in a designated area yet. There are 4 tent camp spots to choose from. The photos you see are the areas you can choose from. I supply a fire pit for your use during your stay.

Looking for the perfect getaway, you will find some peace and quiet here! Only 14.6 miles from I-40 and located on 97 acres, this campground is surrounded by nature, very secluded and private. There is a crystal-clear creek that runs parallel with the driveway and fresh spring water flowing from pipe in the rock close to the entrance on American Way. The creek is bio-diverse, filled with fascinating species, and spring fed, which means it stays cool in the summertime. There are three beautiful homes which are able to be rented out as well. The A-frame log cabin at the top of the hill is called the lodge. The second home, which is a two-story brown log cabin, is where the host lives. The third home is the cottage. Long before these three homes were built, native Indians lived in these beautiful rolling hills and we have found many arrowheads right around the homes on this property. This is a special place and we are happy and honored to share it with you!
Peaceful Hills Retreat, a family owned business, started in May of 2017. It all began when Jennifer’s brilliant brother booked a two-story home through Airbnb for Jennifer and the family for a week in the Carolinas. Their Airbnb vacation was a great experience, and she loved having a kitchen to cook in, while traveling with her large family. She gladly said goodbye to tiny hotel rooms.. Linda and her daughter, Jennifer realized they desired to run a BnB, and watched the scattered pieces beautifully fall into place.
Peaceful Hills Retreat is also a wedding venue. There are three beautiful spots for a lovely outdoor wedding. The waterfall site is a favorite. The lodge is a beautiful place for the reception to take place outdoors and the Honeymoon Cottage makes for the perfect getaway afterwards.
At each home you may read a special book called A Soldier’s Child Foundation (ASC). This life-changing, wonderful foundation near Nashville, serves children all over our great nation who have sadly lost a parent who served in our military. ASC tremendously helped Jennifer’s family after the loss of their military soldier and Peaceful Hills Retreat donates a portion of their profits to this amazing non-profit. A Soldier’s Child Foundation removed the shame and sadness from our loss and replaced it with hope, honor. and love. Just 20 minutes south of I-40, tucked away in the hills and hollers of Hickman County TN, you will find a secluded and peaceful little camping spot we call Fern Gully. The camping area is approximately 5 acres bordered on the south side by Fern Mountain and the north side by Morgan Branch Creek. At this time, we are offering 3 campsites in this location. Plenty of room for privacy between sites. Large grassy common area with access to the creek. Price is for 6 per campsite. If you have additional kids, just let us know and you can bring 2 for the price of 1. Pitch your tent along the banks of pristine Morgan Branch Creek under mature Beech, Poplar and Sugar Maples, string up a hammock or come in your camper van. Deer frequent the area in early morning and late evening. Barred Owls and Red-Tail Hawks can been seen gliding silently through the valley anytime. Butterflies and dragon flies dance over the sparkling springs. Pets are welcome but for their safety and the safety of local farm animals we ask that you keep them leashed or under voice control at all times. Tank the little red very friendly Aussie may pop in for a curious visit as well. Morgan Branch creek is perfect for the little ones to stay occupied all day splashing and exploring. Nearby Cane Creek offers larger swimming holes. Bring a kayak, canoe or SUP or rent one for floating Piney River or Buffalo River. Great fishing can be found at the Buffalo or Duck Rivers, both about a 20 minute drive from camp.Explore the local farming communities. Next door to camp is a regenerative farm owned by a famous musician. Just message us for that contact info and a possible tour. You will also discover an abundance of local Amish farms selling fresh garden veggies & home goods (every day except Sunday’s) during the summer months. 4-Wheelers, ATV’s and UTV’s are a great way to tour the backroads of the Cane Creek Amish community. Enjoy quiet walks or bike rides on our chert (red gravel) roads. Cycling and motorcycle enthusiasts frequent the area spring and fall. If you need a change from your camp cooking, make sure to stop into Cane Creek Market for the best ever deli sandwiches. (Closed Sundays). Drive on into Linden (20 minutes from camp) to Video Corner Cafe’ for gluten-free pizza, hamburgers or fresh catfish. Like Mexican, try Mi Pueblito and be sure to try out The Commodore Hotel for weekend live music and delish dinning. Lobelville is 20 minutes from camp and offers Bold Wind Coffee Bar and Hott’s BBQ. Remember to visit Grinders Switch Winery while you are in the area too. Fern Mountain hosts thousands of ferns that stay green year round due to the numerous natural springs flowing out from under it. Here is where you will find your pristine drinking water pouring out of the artisan well. In Wayne County about 5 miles from our location is the opportunity to spend the day canoeing or kayaking down the Buffalo River. Travel 40 miles northeast and enter an Amish Community for Amish shopping and Tours. Or go straight to the East about 30 miles and visit Lawrenceburg, TN and Davy Crocket State Park. Head 40 miles west discover all the history at the battle fields of Shiloh, just outside of Savanah, TN. And if Music is your interest 45 min south of is "Shoals". Muscle Shoals and Florence Alabama have rich southern history, beautiful historical homes, music roots. No matter the interest, there are ton of things to do occupy your time.
