We absolutely loved the suspended tent experience and secret paradise on Alex's land. It was heaven. Super private, so much space and little corners to enjoy peace, beauty and nature's rhythms. Alex is an amazing host, even the wildlife on his land are happy, playful and fun. We enjoyed watching the otter family swim all day, who made sure to get our attention multiple times. We felt safe, supported and left very inspired. We are grateful and very blessed for this experience. Thank you Alex :)

I had an absolute blast, Alex is an amazing host! I felt so welcome, a home away from home 🩵 The views are breathtaking. I stayed on the private site with the suspended tent which was pretty neat. I loved the fact that there was 2 fire pits, one to cook and one to enjoy ! I walked around the site and it was perfect, fresh air and and beautiful fresh water stream to admire. After driving on the private road for 10 min, we arrived at a charming rustic Log Cabin, which can sleep up to 7 people, a basic kitchen ( 2-burner hotplate, fridge, sink; dishes, pots and pans, cutlery available). There is a beautiful view of the lake, which can be accessed via a short path down the hill. There was a dock, 2 kayaks and a canoe. which kept our young teens busy. Also a nice fire pit, with extra rocks to sit on. Matthew is a very nice, welcoming and accommodating host.

My fiancé and I had a two night stay at Camp Raven in the beginning of August to celebrate our anniversary. As someone who grew up in the city and has never experienced camping in any capacity, I was as excited as I was nervous. Luckily, thanks to how naturally beautiful and welcoming this reserve of nature is, along with Matthew’s kindness and empathetic hosting, coming back to Camp Raven is something we’re very excited to make a tradition out of! The highlights for me have got to be: The amazing quality of the lakes, the boating (kayaking and canoeing), the campfires we were able to make right next to our lodging, the hiking trails surrounded by trees, and the view right from our cabin/lodge! I’d highly recommend Camp Raven to beginners like myself, as well as experienced campers. The various activities mentioned above, Matthew’s kindness and professionalism, along with the vast and beautiful nature reserve is sure to be an overall incredible experience for anyone. I feel very thankful to have found Camp Raven and look very forward to coming back soon!

Weekend Trip to Dobedo Camps

Excellent experience. Very quiet and private spot by the lake, all the amenities work great and are in immaculate shape. There were absolutely no mosquitoes. Highly recommended.
