This is a stand alone structure that is separate from our main house. There is no shower in this dry space, but there is a camping sink that functions like a normal kitchen sink with hot water capacity. The shed has an easy to use composting toilet with clear instructions if you’re a first timer. Also, “Ms Pacman's Backyard Glampsite” is a converted shed, so be ready for some lower ceilings and narrow spaces. The lofted full bed is cozy, so don’t bob your head on the way out! The bed has a six inch memory foam mattress with extra blankets and pillows available. Everything is washed with free and clear laundry detergent for any sensitivities.
We provide a small refrigerator, a 2 burner stove with pots and pans for light cooking, coffee making supplies (reusable keurig pods or pour over coffee along with creamers and sugars), wine openers, dishes, and more. We have 2 tables where you can enjoy meals and games either indoors or outdoors.
You will be one block away from Highland Park which has a tennis court and baseball field. Less than a mile north, you can explore the West Duwamish Greenbelt Trails. Only two blocks south of the property is Westcrest Park that hosts a community garden, a dog park, and small trails in their greenbelt. You’re also walking distance to downtown White Center, which has a microbrewery, a roller skating rink, a gay bar, a plant store, and plenty of coffee shops and restaurants.

Lawnacres is a 20 acre farm that focuses on enhancing wellbeing through the presence of horses and nature. The Bunky itself is a converted horse stall in one of the barns on the property.
The glamping space is approximately 10x12, with a queen size log bed and wide rustic cedar plank flooring. The “stall” to the north houses an outdoor shower and sauna. It’s about a 30 foot walk to the outhouse.
The stalls to the south are usually used by horses during the day, but they sleep in a different barn at night.
Guests are free to amble about the acreage, which has a stream, a wooded path and some wide open meadow.

We can't wait for you to experience this tiny house in the woods. Check back weekly to see our progress photos! We call this a treehouse but it's technically supported by posts (nicer to the trees). There is a fullsize high end queen memory foam bed on the upper floor. Yes, this is a 2 story treehouse! On the second floor there is also a children's sleeping loft which overlooks the rest of the bedroom. This loft is suitable for a small child or 2 but headroom is only a few feet. We found it also requires some youthfull agility to get up there.
A beautiful knotty alder slidding barn door leads from the bedroom to a private bathroom with pedestal sink and odorless composting toilet.
There is a small kitchen with a coffee maker, mini fridge, induction cooktop, mini crockpot, and enough dishes and glasses to enjoy a simple meal or drink. Water pressure in the kitchen and throughout is good!
There is a soaking tub on the main floor near the fireplace and TV with free Netflix. This luxury tub is sure to be a favorite amongst guests. I designed a non traditional floor plan knowing that this would be used primarily as a couples retreat. You can literally be soaking in the tub and watching TV by the fire while your significant other is preparing a meal in the kitchen all in the same space. We find the layout very romantic and unlike anything else out there.
There is also a large hot tub avalible for our guests near the main house. You are welcome to use this hot tub anytime if you don't mind it being by the main home.
Free Wifi. No cable TV but we supply Netflix on the hi-speed guest network. Guests will have free parking in our large circular driveway suitable for cars, trucks, or even RVs under 31ft.

The River Resort sits on the Pilchuck River, it's located on a dead end private gravel road. This is one site with two bell tent canvas yurts. One party at a time is all we allow. For an additional fee, a wheel barrel full of good dry wood for $25.00 all payable directly to Bruce/Lynn at check out. We live on property but you’ll have 100% privacy at river. The listing is for eight people on the property but if you choose to bring additional guest, it will be five dollars per night per guest ages 5 and above up to an additional 8 people for a total of 16 people. Payable directly to Bruce and Lynn at check out. Do NOT INCLUDE EXTRAS IN YOUR RENTAL FEE today. We do ask you to list everyone 5 and above so we know who will be on property. We are a recycle family so please use our recycle bins, but you must take out your own garbage when you leave. We will provide you with two large garbage bags.
We ask that you remove your shoes while in yurts. Animals are welcome and they can be inside the yurts, but NOT on furniture/beds. Also, we provide doggie poo bags, and a shovel so pick up what they leave behind them.
We have a camp box that can be rented if you want to camp but do not have typical camping supplies. You can fish from our rivers edge, but you must have a fishing license and know the fishing regulations in order to not be fined.
For the 4th of July, min. 3-day rental is required. Please note neighbors can be very loud celebrating during this time. We cannot ask them to be quiet. This is recreational property so keep that in mind

The *Purple Cottage* -- was found & salvaged (recycled!)-- moved onto the back of my property in 2012. This 16 X 12' place has been my studio in the past, but has offered overflow for friends & ; family. Nestled in the woods and ever-so-private, the cottage has a pull-out double futon, plus a small sleeping loft and can accommodate 1 -2 nicely (we will consider 3 if you have a small child, but it would be a tight fit!... There is a very small sleeping loft in the cottage.). There is a “en suite kitchen in the cottage that has a small fridge, microwave, and two burner stovetop cooking unit.
The cottage offers privacy in a wooded garden setting. The bathhouse, with hot shower, vanity and; toilet --are all steps away (and covered) from the main cabin.
The Purple Cottage sits on a shy wooded acre, with greenbelt buffers all around, maximizing the sense of privacy. our vintage Shasta Trailer across the driveway of the Purple Cottage is currently used as a music studio (and rarely as family/guest overflow), and I have my own small Artist Studio located also on the back of the property. Even with all the little enclave of buildings, The Purple Cottage retains a private feel all to itself, with reliable Wi-Fi available at the cottage. . It is located in a quiet little neighborhood, about 6 miles from Langley & 6 miles from Freeland.. Private beach access is across the road and a 15 minute walk up the street, where you can beach comb & explore the shoreline out at our little point. The private deck off the side of the Purple Cottage offers views of the gardens & flora, and has a little gas barbecue. There is also a delightful hot tub on the deck, which is a wonderful feature. An outdoor kitchen on the edge of the woods allows a roomier “camp cooking” experience with Colman stove & cold running water (season permitting).
We are located 6 miles from the picturesque town of Langley and equal distance from Freeland, on the south end of Whidbey. Our area is very *bike-able* and either direction will get you to town!

They even had firewood for us, no extra charge! David, his wife, and everyone else that helps maintain the property were SO sweet and welcoming. Seems like it would be a lovely place to stay in the winter, so thats when I'd like to come back! 5 stars all the way for everything here, the thoughtfulness of the cabins, the cleanliness, the readily available kitchen and the hospitality. This is a stand alone structure that is separate from our main house. There is no shower in this dry space, but there is a camping sink that functions like a normal kitchen sink with hot water capacity. The shed has an easy to use composting toilet with clear instructions if you’re a first timer. Also, “Ms Pacman's Backyard Glampsite” is a converted shed, so be ready for some lower ceilings and narrow spaces. The lofted full bed is cozy, so don’t bob your head on the way out! The bed has a six inch memory foam mattress with extra blankets and pillows available. Everything is washed with free and clear laundry detergent for any sensitivities.
We provide a small refrigerator, a 2 burner stove with pots and pans for light cooking, coffee making supplies (reusable keurig pods or pour over coffee along with creamers and sugars), wine openers, dishes, and more. We have 2 tables where you can enjoy meals and games either indoors or outdoors.
You will be one block away from Highland Park which has a tennis court and baseball field. Less than a mile north, you can explore the West Duwamish Greenbelt Trails. Only two blocks south of the property is Westcrest Park that hosts a community garden, a dog park, and small trails in their greenbelt. You’re also walking distance to downtown White Center, which has a microbrewery, a roller skating rink, a gay bar, a plant store, and plenty of coffee shops and restaurants.

The glamping space is approximately 10x12, with a queen size log bed and wide rustic cedar plank flooring. The “stall” to the north houses an outdoor shower and sauna. It’s about a 30 foot walk to the outhouse.
The stalls to the south are usually used by horses during the day, but they sleep in a different barn at night.

We can't wait for you to experience this tiny house in the woods. Check back weekly to see our progress photos! We call this a treehouse but it's technically supported by posts (nicer to the trees). There is a fullsize high end queen memory foam bed on the upper floor. Yes, this is a 2 story treehouse! On the second floor there is also a children's sleeping loft which overlooks the rest of the bedroom. This loft is suitable for a small child or 2 but headroom is only a few feet. We found it also requires some youthfull agility to get up there.
A beautiful knotty alder slidding barn door leads from the bedroom to a private bathroom with pedestal sink and odorless composting toilet.
There is a small kitchen with a coffee maker, mini fridge, induction cooktop, mini crockpot, and enough dishes and glasses to enjoy a simple meal or drink. Water pressure in the kitchen and throughout is good!
There is a soaking tub on the main floor near the fireplace and TV with free Netflix. This luxury tub is sure to be a favorite amongst guests. I designed a non traditional floor plan knowing that this would be used primarily as a couples retreat. You can literally be soaking in the tub and watching TV by the fire while your significant other is preparing a meal in the kitchen all in the same space. We find the layout very romantic and unlike anything else out there.
There is also a large hot tub avalible for our guests near the main house. You are welcome to use this hot tub anytime if you don't mind it being by the main home.
Free Wifi. No cable TV but we supply Netflix on the hi-speed guest network. Guests will have free parking in our large circular driveway suitable for cars, trucks, or even RVs under 31ft.

Even with all the little enclave of buildings, The Purple Cottage retains a private feel all to itself, with reliable Wi-Fi available at the cottage. . It is located in a quiet little neighborhood, about 6 miles from Langley & 6 miles from Freeland.. Private beach access is across the road and a 15 minute walk up the street, where you can beach comb & explore the shoreline out at our little point. The private deck off the side of the Purple Cottage offers views of the gardens & flora, and has a little gas barbecue. There is also a delightful hot tub on the deck, which is a wonderful feature. Indoors:
At Camp Duckabush, comfort and rustic charm blend seamlessly. The tranquil loft bedroom is a cozy retreat with a comfortable bed, soft hypoallergenic linens, reading nook, and a private balcony offering peaceful views. Sleep well at night in summer with available A/C. Please note, the ladder to the loft is steep.
The fully stocked kitchen is equipped with a propane oven/stove, fridge, freezer, and everything else you could need, making meal preparation a breeze. Featuring dreamy locally roasted Catkin Coffee and a variety of teas. The cabin includes a 3/4 bathroom with modern amenities.
For those working remotely or catching up on emails, the dedicated workspace includes high-speed fiber optic internet, desk, lamp and an ergonomic chair.
The dining area is perfect for meals and game nights, featuring a bistro table surrounded by windows and a selection of games and activities. There is even a spotting scope to help you enjoy all the wildlife that can be seen across the hood canal. In the living room, unwind on the big comfy couch with plenty of blankets, enjoy the cozy propane heater, or catch up on your favorite shows with available fireTV streaming services.
Outdoors:
The real highlight is the exterior of the cabin. Delight in the private, serene yard with expansive Hood Canal views. Relax in the hammock or gather around the fire pit. Firewood provided. The propane BBQ grill is perfect for outdoor cooking, and the picnic table with an umbrella provides a great spot for al fresco dining. There’s also a game/catch cleaning station for your convenience. Boat/Trailer parking available on the property, (approx 55 ft x 18 ft), just make sure to let your hosts know. We enjoyed staying at Makayla’s A-Frame. We had a great view of the estuary and there were many thoughtful little details - dog biscuits, a dog bed, and dog sheet and towel for post water play, food and water bowls - to make staying with our dog easier and cozy. The bed in the upstairs sleeping loft was very comfortable.

We absolutely loved our stay at Alison's farm!! How creative the design of the Bunky and farm layout is! Sauna and outdoor shower were fantastic as well! We were so welcomed by the humans, animals, and natural landscape of the farm that is was hard to leave! Alison and the team practice the beautiful philosophy of consent with the animals (only touching when the animals would like to interact). How wonderful to experience this harmony between humans and animals. We would absolutely recommend this stay to all fellow animal/nature adventurers!

Weekend Trip to The Bunky in The Barn
I needed a quiet place to work on a creative project for a weekend and this was perfect. The hosts met me, answered all my questions and made sure I what I needed (water, an electric kettle, an aero press and instructions for the sauna. She even lent me contact solution.) The bed is super comfortable and kept me warm even when temps dipped into the 30s Was fun to hear the donkeys and horse pals wake up in the morning but it was quiet at night. And the hot shower and sauna were dreamy. I kept thinking that this would be such an ideal stop on a bike tour. Def recommend

Absolutely marvelous in every way. The tent set is sturdy and cozy, the bed and futon are comfy and warm, the yard is expansive and despite being within site of the residence, it is and feels private. The fact that we had the field to ourselves too was wonderful for my two dogs. There was plenty of room to run around and sniff, and bc the property is so peaceful they were comfortable enough to relax in the yard off leash.
Charnie is as wonderful a host as her property is a place to disconnect and relax. Her communication is impeccable and she is very accommodating and welcoming.
Lessons learned:
- Pack less! Charnie really does provide so many essentials, and the hill that you have to walk down is a decent hike so I will make my life easier and bring less stuff next time.
- Cook simple things. The stove is free standing (as opposed to being built into a hearth) so heat escapes fast meaning you’ll need more wood to keep something consistently hot (like the stew I decided to make - could have used to the propane stove though).
- Buy my own wood along the way. I ended up pilfering through Charnie’s family stock quite a bit for cooking and heating, next time I’ll bring my own to lessen how much of theirs I have to take.
- the cooler is big! I used three 3lbs bags of ice for two nights.
- stay three nights next time! One full day is not nearly enough time to get the most out of this wonderful set up!

Weekend Trip to Simple Roots Ranch
My girlfriend and I had an amazing experience at the potting shed. We booked for Valentine’s Day weekend and couldn’t have been happier with our choice. We were shown around when we arrived and the hospitality was above and beyond.
From a relaxing forest walk, romantic fire pit, well equipped kitchen nook, and cozy sleeping space, every detail was appreciated.
I would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to escape for just a night or a longer stay.

Weekend Trip to Pipe Lake Cabin
The cabin was larger than I expected! You enter into a large room with the main bed (bedding included), pullout couch, armchair and fireplace. Then there is the kitchen area with a good size dining table. Bathroom is right off the kitchen. No shower but that didn't bother us. Basic amenities for the kitchen is all provided and there are plenty of extra blankets. Just a PSA, your door code will be sent 30 minutes before the check in, we found ourselves worrying as the time got closer and closer!

We loved staying at Hidden Creek Hideaway!
Immediately upon entering the tent, the beautiful set up captured our attention. The amenities were just as described, down to the last detail, and then some! There were a few snacks waiting for us too. On our first night, Charnie generously came to help us with the wood stove. The whole tent was warm and cozy with a fire going. The outdoor space was open, peaceful, and private. It was the perfect blend of backyard and woodland camping. We loved walking the trail, several times. The views the meadow is gorgeous and listening to the neighbors' animals at a distance while reading or drawing was relaxing. The outdoor bathroom set up was clean and efficient, and the hot shower was perfect for a chilly, November day. We highly recommend this spot and hope to come back as soon as we can!

Perfect for the first stormy weekend of Fall. Lots of reading, listening to the rain & hail! We did get a little sun & got a bit of fishing in. Wonderful & close views of an eagle, sitting right in a tree off the deck.
Pro tip: Shut the door between main room and kitchen. It makes the heater much more efficient. Can't wait to get back in Spring. Charming and peaceful.

Weekend Trip to Wild Hearts on Whidbey
We enjoyed our stay at the Glasshouse! The concept is really cool and we enjoyed the large space. Rochelle was responsive and quickly was able to find someone to fix the woodstove when we were having problems.
If you are not confident in starting a fire I would definitely bring a fire starter. I am confident in my fire making skills, but we were not able to get a fire going, which made for a chilly stay. It feels relevant to note that the weather forecast was incredibly rainy so while the wood was dry, the humidity definitely had an effect (nobody's fault). Luckily there is a baseboard heater in the bedroom space as well as electric blankets so we were plenty warm at night!
The dishwashing/handwashing station wasn't super obvious to us, and we hope in the future there will be a sink space to do these things.

Weekend Trip to Simple Roots Ranch
We had a wonderful stay at the potting shed for our 2nd anniversary! Dave and Sharon are great and hospitable hosts who have put so much love and care into their property and this cabin. We had everything we needed and more and even though it was a very rainy weekend, we still got to enjoy the trails and gardens on the property with some raincoats on!! We woke up on our last morning to some delicious muffins dropped off in the kitchen and Dave cut us some mushrooms to take home with us! The kitchen was well-stocked and with it being super chilly outside the shower and kitchen sink still got warm!! This is such a cozy and peaceful place with all of the amenities that you’d need but with an outdoorsy glamping perk! We will definitely be back!
