My girlfriend and I had an amazing experience at the potting shed. We booked for Valentine’s Day weekend and couldn’t have been happier with our choice. We were shown around when we arrived and the hospitality was above and beyond.
From a relaxing forest walk, romantic fire pit, well equipped kitchen nook, and cozy sleeping space, every detail was appreciated.
I would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to escape for just a night or a longer stay.

We had a wonderful stay at the potting shed for our 2nd anniversary! Dave and Sharon are great and hospitable hosts who have put so much love and care into their property and this cabin. We had everything we needed and more and even though it was a very rainy weekend, we still got to enjoy the trails and gardens on the property with some raincoats on!! We woke up on our last morning to some delicious muffins dropped off in the kitchen and Dave cut us some mushrooms to take home with us! The kitchen was well-stocked and with it being super chilly outside the shower and kitchen sink still got warm!! This is such a cozy and peaceful place with all of the amenities that you’d need but with an outdoorsy glamping perk! We will definitely be back!

We can't thank the hosts enough for such a magical stay. From The moment we stepped on property to the opening of the doors to the potting shed. Our minds bodies and hearts were at Peace. So glad we were able to spend our annversay on this amazing property. This getaway has been everything a more. Our family has a chance to connect with nature with each other while also enjoying individual solo time wonder the property. The fire pit and s’mores were our favorite. Second favorite were the dogs and picking flowers and learning about the Property. Even on a semi chilly fall day our body’s heart and soul were kept warm the entire stay. My daughter really enjoyed her loft and the WiFi. We slept sooo comfortably and cozy in the shed. This has been one of our favorite family getaway to date. Hopefully we will return in the near future.

Everything was pleasant and done with much thought. I loved the outdoor kitchen and shower. Cooking outdoors and having everything you need is a comfort like nothing else. Watching all different kind of birds feed in the garden and having the luxury of walking through the beauty has also stood out to me the most.

Gorgeous property and such a cute potting shed to relax and unwind. The owners have put so much work into their garden and it shows with pops of amazing colors and healthy plants abound. The shed was a great retreat, super close to downtown Snohomish and the dogs + owners were so friendly! Highly recommend to those looking to recharge and find a piece of solitude.

The potting shed is a little slice of heaven on earth. The coolest little sleeping area and an attach bathtub/outdoor shower and kitchen, dining area, completely with a little fridge and propane burners. There’s a fire pit area that looks wonderful. And the whole gardens when we were there were rife with flowers, full of color, wonderful place to wander. They’ve just put so much love into their property and it’s so evident. We could only stay for one night, but I would’ve loved to stay longer. Sharon and Dave are wonderful hosts. So glad I found this place.

This is the second time I stayed in this beautiful “potting shed”. It’s super pretty and comfortable, and the landscaping around it is gorgeous! The hosts are friendly and helpful and very generous with sharing the bounty of their land.

Amazing location for a quick getaway. Close to historic Snohomish, beautiful property, got to pick some berries and wander the spacious property. Hosts were great but also not intrusive, Doggo host were a delight! 100 would stay again! Everything was clean, small camp kitchen with a small stove and refrigerator, room with a double futon and a single loft.

Cozy, special spot! So comfortable and unique. Loved the firepit, swings, and being able to watch a movie before bed. Sharon and her husband were lovely and very thoughtful. Hope to return soon!

We loved the property the Potting Shed is on, it's a peaceful getaway from life in the city. We were greeted by Gala and Bodhi, their dogs, each morning and it was a great way to begin our day. Sharon and Dave have put a lot of thought into not just curating The Potting Shed, but also the rest of their property. I can't recommend it highly enough.

The Potting Shed is a peaceful retreat. It is a 10 minute drive to town with great restaurants, breweries and a Thursday afternoon farmers’ market. A lot of love and thoughtful touches have been put into the Potting Shed.

Sharon and Dave were such gracious hosts at their beautiful property and who can forget their adorable doggos, Gala and Bodhi!
Sharon and Dave were so kind and accommodating as soon as we arrived and let us freely enjoy their massive garden and property. (the welcome berries were the perfect amount of sweet and tart!)
They even encouraged us to help ourselves to some of their delicious organic veggies in the garden (the tasty lettuce was exactly what we needed for our dinner) and even set up the campfire for us!
This place is perfect for couples and small families. My partner and I regret not staying longer and would definitely love to return in the near future!

I loved my time here. Very relaxing after a day of traveling, the host was very friendly along with the two dogs. My highlight was the walking trail around the property, they some sitting and I felt lost in the beautiful view.

We really enjoyed Sharon’s whimsical Potting Shed with its cosy interior and all the yummy fresh berries and vegetables that the garden offers! There were so many little nooks and cranny everywhere to enjoy some romantic time. The doggos, Gala and Bodhi, were also perfect hosts, checking up on us. Can’t wait to be back in the different seasons to enjoy the garden!

A+++. Our stay at the Potting Shed was beyond delightful. The lovely room had a comfortable bed and a view of the gardens. The outdoor kitchen had everything a cook could need, and we really loved the logwood countertops,. There were even fresh berries in the refrigerator for us, plus fresh cut garden flowers, lovely soaps and tea cloths, etc. The outside shower room was equally cute with its clawfoot bath (as a shower) and fresh cut lavender and scrub salts.
The couple was so kind, making us very feel welcome, even starting the campfire for us and sharing fresh greens from their extensive vegetable gardens. The property is beautiful, I only wish we’d set aside more time to explore the property. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The Simple Roots Ranch Potting Shed was very quaint and situated within a lush garden. Both Sharon and Dave were very accommodating to my kids and I during our 2 night stay. We enjoyed fresh berries from the garden, strolled through the wooded trails, and generally enjoyed the well tended grounds. A beautiful stay.

The Potting Shed
Great place. Everything at The Potting Shed was as advertised. The garden and grounds are lovely, there are sweet, thoughtful touches throughout the space that add to the experience. Dave was especially accommodating of my two kiddos. Highly recommend.

This is a magical spot - my teen daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The weather was a tad damp, which hindered our exploring a bit of the property and gardens, but the accommodations were really comfortable and the small touches and details very appreciated. Outdoor seating under cover was really lovely in the morning and the kitchen is well appointed with basics (coffee!! Thank you!!)
The property was quiet with only occasional street noise and lots of bird activity to watch. Strawberries were in full fruit and so delicious. Really enjoyed talking with Dave - great hosts. This is a gem. Thank you for the memories!

We loved our stay at Simple Roots Ranch, with the cozy tiny home (the potting shed), fresh strawberries and flowers in abundance. I especially loved the soak in the outdoor tub with lavender bath salts provided, the trails through their old growth forest and the warm hospitality of the hosts!

Such a lovely spot for an outdoor escape! Sharon and Dave are wonderful hosts- adding so many thoughtful touches to make your experience special! They have a beautiful property with a wonderful garden with goodies to share. We loved the fire pit with provided wood and even s'more fixings! Having a toilet and running water was a special glamping treat! There’s so much love and warmth in this little space- highly recommend!

Pure bliss. Was so appreciative of the care that Sharon and her husband take with their land. I felt welcomed to explore the land and was happy to do so! The futon was comfortable and space heater helped keep me warm on a wet Spring night. Kitchen was just well appointed enough! I especially appreciated all of the outdoor covered areas so I could stay dry and still enjoy. Was super fun to meet the dogs too. Total sweethearts. Thank you so much!! I will be back.
