Wild Hearts on Whidbey

We enjoyed our stay at the Glasshouse! The concept is really cool and we enjoyed the large space. Rochelle was responsive and quickly was able to find someone to fix the woodstove when we were having problems. If you are not confident in starting a fire I would definitely bring a fire starter. I am confident in my fire making skills, but we were not able to get a fire going, which made for a chilly stay. It feels relevant to note that the weather forecast was incredibly rainy so while the wood was dry, the humidity definitely had an effect (nobody's fault). Luckily there is a baseboard heater in the bedroom space as well as electric blankets so we were plenty warm at night! The dishwashing/handwashing station wasn't super obvious to us, and we hope in the future there will be a sink space to do these things.

Beautiful!

Staying here was lovely. Very relaxing and beautiful. There is no running water, indoor toilet or shower, but there's a portapotty. The hosts were very kind. It's close to Langley which is cute and has good food! Definitely will be back.

It’s a very unique place! You can’t tell in the pictures but the building is right next to a rental. He was very friendly but it lacked privacy. Overall nice place, easy to find.

This was our second time staying at Wild Hearts and it was just as good as the first time! They've made some updates since last time, marking each site with flagpoles. It wasn't hard to find before but now it's even easier! They also have more port-a-potty's which was awesome and they were very clean! Would definitely come again...and probably will:)

Beautiful space filled with thoughtful personal touches. Rochelle is an absolute angel. Took 3 tween girls and the sounds of nature were too much for them. Rochelle was responsive to our late night message and fielded a call at nearly midnight. She gave my kids some reassurance and problem solved with me to help us make it through our stay. Very cool property, wonderful options for accommodations and you can’t ask for a better host! Highly recommend!

I would not stay here again. The ground is incredibly sloped, such that there were only two viable spots to pitch a tent. This is advertised as a site that fits 20, which is inaccurate. The hosts' rules are MUCH more restrictive than staying in a state-run campground, yet they did not regulate noise. An adjacent group of noisy campers partying into the night made it hard for some in our group to sleep. The shared port a potty was clean, but out of hand sanitizer. While beautiful, the strictness and lack of amenities made it less than ideal, especially considering the price.

The site was well located, green and tree covered, the porta was clean, and the picnic benches very appreciated by our gang. The only minor issue was the ground could have used some grading as we all slept on a slant but would gladly rent again

A great location near Langley, comfortable for a solo camper. The site is a lovely meadow nestled in the trees. I found a flat area to park and pitch my hatch tent. The firepit was new and adequate, but there's no grate for cooking, so bring one if you need it, as well as your own water. The picnic table was great, and there's a separate bench near the firepit. Plenty of downed limbs and branches for starting a fire. The port-a-potties were clean and nearby, but not too close.

The venue is depicted quite differently on the inside on the HipCamp platform than what the site actually looked like. bed covers dirty, rugs dirty, no real atmosphere, the door was a hanging blanket that did not fit the door. We were charged for a firewood bundle. When I texted to inquire about it there was no answer. We took pictures and videos and submitted it to hipcamp support after requesting a refund from the host. The answer we were texted was ?ok. It’s really too bad this site has not been kept up to what it apparently once was.

This is a lovely, well maintained area with good privacy. It took me a little while to find the right spot even with the very clear map they have posted, but I knew it when I found it — the deck is kind of tucked away. Charming, but follow the host’s suggestion and try not to arrive after dark. The tent set-up area had nice mulching which was easy for set-up, and comfortable even with my minimal equipment. There are beautiful horses on the property, and some meadows that look like they could be used for events. The port-a-potties were freshly serviced and convenient, but not too close. The teepee site looked really cool from a distance. I hope I get to return some time!

Overall experience was excellent! Lovely location and friendly host. Very clean portable toilet. The site was very private. The only downside was how hilly it is. We were able to make it work but if you have more than 5-6 tents it might be tricky to find comfortable spots for everyone. I would absolutely recommend this site for small to medium groups.

We had a great time - loved the horses visiting us, the deer, the birds, and privacy of the site. I suggest a sign warning guests of the electric fence and leveling some spots for tents, as most of the sites are on a slope.

The wife and I found this place as our last stop on a Whidbey weekend getaway. Highly recommend. The teepee was spacious, well maintained and comfortable. Great for a couple or a family as there is two large beds and plenty of room inside. The indoor fire pit was an added surprise. Host was very helpful, communicative and friendly.

Site was great and porta potty was super clean! It is a farm so roosters and dogs in the area can be a bit loud but that comes with farm life. Sites are well spaced out for privacy and it’s less than 25 mins from the ferry.
