Tucked away far enough from the city and hustle bustle, but close enough for convenience, this property boasts a large private lot, oceanview and access to a sandy private beach not even a 1 minute walk from your site! Please note that there are 2 other lots with people living nearby, you will pass one house on your way down. Trouts, road and there is another house at the beachfront that you walk by to get to beach access.... but you will have total privacy! 5 minutes from St Peters Bay where you can buy fresh fish, go to the Landing Shops or General Store for basics, 15 minutes from Morell where you can buy groceries, liquor and gas, 30 minutes to Basin Head beach, 20 minutes to Montague, 45 minutes to Charlottetown. OFF GRID; No water or toilet, just a nice clean spot to set up camp and live with nature! NOTE: the site is best suited for campers/rvs as opposed to tents.

Galla Designs Studio is located on a lovely 22 acre farm on the oceanfront, 5 km from the ferry. It featurs a beautiful artisans storefront with over 60 local artisans, food items and coffee. It is also home to the Belle River Post office. Please let us know if you need to arrive after 8pm. Please see parking instructions as there is no turn around in the main driveway. Also - the island has mosquitos so please bring bug spray. WIFI is available at the store. Please no generators from 10pm-8am (some exceptions may apply). To find us Google maps sometimes does not like wood Islands as our city so please use Belle River. About 50m just west of our main entrance to the farm and store, you will see a farm road that is marked with "1167 FARM" address sign. Please use that road to come in and just after the little wooded section it will open up and you will see a picnic table to your right. You can park in there. If you need help with anything, just call my cell phone 902-326-1015 Please note that there could be another camper if booked, so please park accordingly. Store is located in the small white barn next to the white house. The black building nearest the camp area is my parents house - not the store, so plesae do not walk in there. ;) lol **Google road and satellite photos are very old

This property has two buildings for rent. One is called the Sweet Suite and the other is called Easy Street. The Sweet Suite contains a 3/4 bed and a pull out couch. There is a sink and a toilet. A deck with chairs and a two burner butane camp stove. It is ideal for two people or three if close or family. Easy Street has a futon, A screened in area and an outside deck. There is a closed in flush toilet beside the building. It has a magnificent view of the Gulf of St. Lawrence including beach and capes. It is ideal for a couple or two people who don't mind being close. There is an outside shower and courtyard to service both buildings. The courtyard has a table and chairs, BBQ that guests are welcome to use. Also at the courtyard is an outside kitchen with running hot and cold water, a pizza oven, a small bar fridge for each cabin, all cooking equipment required i.e pots, pans, utensils, plates. Guests will have access to a set of stairs that lead to the water. This is an off the grid property. The electricity is fueled by solar panels into batteries. Internet is available. There is a washing machine and a clothes line. If you are the least bit uptight and need everything to be perfect this property is not for you. Ruth lives on the property in a separate building and is excited to share the beauty with like minded, appreciative people.

A short woodland trail leads to a quiet sandy beach that’s perfect for walking, swimming, beachcombing, or watching the sunrise. The bunkie is compact but comfortable, with a queen bed, small kitchenette, seating area, solar power, Starlink Wi-Fi, and a private bathroom with a shower and composting toilet. Outside you’ll find a deck overlooking the forest and a vintage clawfoot outdoor tub with hot and cold water. Please note that this is an off-grid accommodation. Power comes from solar, so guests are asked to be mindful of electricity use. The setting is rustic rather than luxurious, and you’ll likely encounter birds, frogs, rabbits, foxes, and other local wildlife. Mosquitoes can also be part of the experience at certain times of year, so bringing insect repellent is recommended. If you’re looking for polished resort accommodations, this probably isn’t the right fit. But if you enjoy quiet mornings, star-filled skies, the sound of the ocean, and the feeling of having your own little corner of the woods, we think you’ll love it. We’re continually improving the property, and we’d be delighted to welcome guests who appreciate simple, peaceful places surrounded by nature. Raised bed veggie garden onsite to pick fresh vegetables or use our equipment to walk the beach and dig for clams, then pop into the nearby vineyard/winery to sample local wines. We are just a few minutes from the Wood Islands visitor center, local seafood restaurants, candy/ice cream store and liquor store, and an award winning Vineyard. We are a five minute drive from the Wood Islands ferry to Nova Scotia. Queen size bed, kitchen with hot and cold water, full sized fridge and freezer, single burner propane hot plate, standard size shower with hot and cold water—compost toilet. Gorgeous vintage outdoor garden bathtub with hot water in the garden. No ocean view or beach access but a charming sandy public beach is just 2 miles away.

I recommend this site and would stay here again. Communication was very clear with our host. The private beach access was miraculous. My dog and I adored the ocean waters. It had waves which we liked. On site you’ll find a plenty of room to walk, picnic table, charcoal small bbq, fire pit, small shaded area and an open area. Bring fire wood for fire, water, food, mosquito repellant, charge any devices with batteries and on site you loose reception. If a neighbour walks through the path towards the beach entrance you will be seen, for they need to pass by your lot. I waved and we both smiled and said hello. She complemented my dog. There’s a charming small town about 25 mins away to walk, eat and get gas, use restrooms, take photos.

The Pit Stop was a lovely place to spend a couple of nights. The cabin and outhouse were clean and thoughtfully equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Janna is a friendly and welcoming host, and the location is ideal, close to the Confederation Trail and a short bike ride from the town of O'Leary. Highly recommend!

This is a beautiful spot! The amenities are as advertised and well-maintained, very clean and all in working order. The place is easy to find, the tent spaces are well-kept, and the whole campground is very clean and pretty. The beach is a lovely perk! The hosts are kind and responsive. The one thing is that (at least in July) the area is quite buggy. This isn't something the hosts can control, so not at all a criticism of them, but worth knowing (especially if you're sensitive to bug bites like I am!)

Summer winds is a lovely campsite with a pool, excellent and clean bathrooms with hot showers. The cabin sites look good, there are decent spaces for trailers and the tent spaces (which we used) are cozy yet pretty close together. We unfortunately had a smoker next to us which significantly affected us and our children, and he refused to stop despite our polite requests. Bad luck. And the mosquitos were voracious when we were there, even with a windy second day. So bring lots of repellent. It’s still a high quality and beautiful campsite overall though, and don’t forget to enjoy the incredible view from the beach!
