CAMP SITE The campsite is located on a lot nestled in trees approximately 1 hour from Toronto. LAKE Canal Lake is a lake of Ontario, Canada, situated in the City of Kawartha Lakes. HISTORIC MONUMENTS The "Hole in the Wall" bridge was built in 1905 and is also known as the Canal Lake Concrete Arch Bridge. It was designed by the federal Department of Railways and Canals. It is located on Centennial Park Road on the southwest side of the Trent Severn Waterway bridge, northeast of Bolsover. The bridge was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1988. FISHING Canal Lake is a medium size lake with a large diversity of fishing spots. There is a variety of fish available including largemouth bass, pike and muskellunge (muskie) and an abundance of panfish. Welcome to our property! We are on a scenic farm with lots of Rolling hills bordering the Ganaraska forest.The 11,000 acre Ganaraska Forest is one of the largest blocks of forested land in southern Ontario. The area provides abundant recreational opportunities and is managed for a sustainable yield of wood products.We have four campsites available for tent and RV campers. If you’re bringing an RV or trailer, we can accommodate vehicles up to 50ft in length. The site is flat and electrical and water hookups are available. Amenities include a toilet, water, and wifi. Activities nearby include hiking, biking, wildlife viewing, and swimming in our saltwater pool during the summer!Pets are welcome! Campfires are allowed as long as there is no fire ban.

CAMP SITE The campsite is located on a lot nestled in trees approximately 1 hour from Toronto. LAKE Canal Lake is a lake of Ontario, Canada, situated in the City of Kawartha Lakes. HISTORIC MONUMENTS The "Hole in the Wall" bridge was built in 1905 and is also known as the Canal Lake Concrete Arch Bridge. It was designed by the federal Department of Railways and Canals. It is located on Centennial Park Road on the southwest side of the Trent Severn Waterway bridge, northeast of Bolsover. The bridge was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1988. FISHING Canal Lake is a medium size lake with a large diversity of fishing spots. There is a variety of fish available including largemouth bass, pike and muskellunge (muskie) and an abundance of panfish. EATS AND TREATS • Bolsover is home to the Western Trent Golf Club • Check out Bexley Golf Centre just west of Coboconk & Balsam Lake Provincial Park. They are a Butter Tart Tour stop! •  And we all know how delicious Kawartha Dairy Ice Cream is in the summer sun!

If you are working remotely the cottage has great WIFI. You will love the 100 feet of waterfront including water toys! The cottage also features a firepit, wood-burning stove, BBQ, and heat & AC. Lakeside you will enjoy canoeing, paddle-boating and kayaking. You can relax on the screened-in porch while watching kids play. In the winter, enjoy snowshoeing with the snowshoes that are provided! Located only 1.5-2 hours from Toronto (depending on traffic). The cottage is a 12-minute drive from beautiful Balsam Lake Provincial Park, which has scenic hiking trails, a beautiful and clean beach with swimming, picnic areas, and a kids playground. Traveling with small children? Let us know! Our cottage is very family-friendly with lots of toys, books, games, a sandbox, kid's life jackets, mini Muskoka chairs, and a mini picnic table. We also have two pack n’ plays, a portable high chair (lobster chair), and bed rails available for guest use upon request This is a great place to make memories and share moments together that will last a lifetime! Only dishtowels will be provided.** Mitchell Lake is known for its peaceful atmosphere, gorgeous sunsets, and fishing, however, it is a weedy lake. It is fantastic for wading or playing in the shallow water by the dock, canoeing, paddle boating, relaxing on floaties, etc., however, it is not ideal for distance swimming. We recommend that guests bring water shoes or crocs. This cottage is not suitable for parties.

I had a lovely stay! Renee was kind (even though I mistook her for another camper!) and understanding, and the place was exactly what I was looking for for this visit: quiet and all to myself! The washrooms were clean and spacious, the crickets and birdsong and crackling fire were the only company I needed. I would absolutely return for another visit.

We had a lovely time in the Igloo. The location is beautiful and the water was clean and swimmable. The zip line and the slide were pretty fun too. We oiled have loved if the toilet was not beside the bed, it doesn’t smell lovely while in bed. Nonetheless we had a lovely time. Cleaning guy crept up on us before 11 am check out and scared the bejesus out of us. Maybe coming after 11 am would be a nice touch. The sound of the river while sleeping was a plus ! Bring a fan if you are visiting in the summer it is hot. The sauna is lovely and close to the water so you can plunge when it’s hot;)

We stayed here for one night during our bikepacking trip and really enjoyed it! There were flush toilets and an outdoor shower, which was great after a long ride. The rolling hills of farmland were beautiful and it was a peaceful spot to relax. Would definitely recommend to fellow bikepackers or anyone looking for a scenic stop!
