RV campers are welcomed to our beautiful 10-acre grounds at the Sanilac County Historic Village and Museum. At this time, we do not allow tent campers.
Campers are invited to use our two large communal bonfire pits. Firewood is available for purchase. Advance notice is recommended.
Guest WIFI is available in and near the Mansion but does not reliably connect to our camping areas.
Here you will find beauty, quiet, and privacy. Be sure to wander our brick/stone path and nature trail that combine to make a one-mile walking path around the grounds. You'll enjoy bridges, swings and benches to rest awhile, a boardwalk, a fairy garden, 14 flower gardens, birds and wildlife, and lots more! The path also winds past each of our 17 historic buildings and the 1942 U.S. Army Troop Train.
Tour the beautiful Loop-Harrison Mansion, celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2022. Enjoy a live performance at the Barn Theatre on Friday and Saturday evenings. Take a unique tour of Port Sanilac in our 1917, open-air Model T or horse and carriage.
We are located within walking distance of beautiful Lake Huron, including a lakeside park, beach, harbor, and break wall. Check out the live music at the harbor park every Saturday during the summer months. The historic Port Sanilac Lighthouse (tours offered on Fridays) is also within walking distance, as well as restaurants, bars, and shopping.

This year we are expecting a foal (baby horse). The end of April.
We are also milking a family cow for our own milk as well. Her name is Daisy.
We are also bottle feeding two calves at this time.
We will have Great Pyrenees puppies from April through mid July. Come and spend some time with them!

ABOUT THE FARM
We have a working, organic farm with a lot of animals, however, we also do crops as well. This particular farm is 138 acres with 8 acres of woods. We have working dogs, sheep, cattle, horses, a couple goatsWe have some super great animals. Most of which are very friendly.
You never know what will be available to see on the farm when you visit. We are expecting a foal (baby horse) this summer (2021)
and are already planning for another foal next summer as well. We often have puppies as well and sometimes we have to bottle feed lambs. There's never a dull moment.
Our farm is unique in the way of having a very positive VIBE to it. The energy is awesome! It's really a space of tranquility and healing if you allow yourself to go there.
After hosting with air bnb for a little over a year now, we decided to give this a try as well. We love hosting people and having them come to the farm and enjoy our way of life. It also helps to have a supplemental income as having and running a small family farm isn't very sustainable. Typically there's off the farm jobs to help pay for the farm life. It's a crazy equation. Small family farms are far and few between. Please support your local farmer if possible! It is greatly appreciated!

We are situated at the end of a private road with only 2 residences. 12+ wooded acres to enjoy(hiking/exploring). At this time, only Sprinter Vans, Truck Campers and small trailers are ideal for the RV sites. Tent campers set up at the back of the property in the woods. Several hiking trails and locations to camp. There are multiple fire rings out back and plenty of fallen wood to burn or you can purchase seasoned split wood bundles on site. Suggested Local Attractions: The property borders a public golf course, downtown Lake Orion or Oxford are less than 1.5 miles as is public access to All-Sports Lake Orion(the lake) as well as others in the area. Dozens of miles of hiking/mountain biking trails. Bald Mountain State Park and Addison Oaks trailheads 2 and 3 miles respectively. Disc Golf courses. Public beaches, paved trails, etc. Or you can just hang out and watch the various wildlife that frequent the property. We recommend it although not highly. Kind of a cool setting if you’re into old timey museum type places. It’s great for a quick stopover point. Location was nice, we were the only people there (late season trip) so it was very quiet. Port Sanilac is a great little town.

The goat, chickens, and turkeys follow you everywhere (including the shower) which is hilarious, as they become your own personal groupies- they are little thieves though, so keep your food guarded, they stole a peach from our toddler and some watermelon. Don’t worry it was local and organic. The zip line into the swimming area was really fun and we loved hearing the train pass by several times a day. Our only issue was the amount of poison ivy at two of the RV sites, with a toddler and a dog who love to explore it was impossible to stay out of it. Luckily we were able to utilize a different area for socializing but if the spots are all booked this wouldn’t have been an option. All that said we would still recommend this campsite and would love to return in the future. It was peaceful, wild, calming and exactly what we needed. Om Shanti

Quiet, nearest neighbor was 80 yards away. This is like a miniature greenfield village. It is clean and well kept, with fun little walking trails to explore. For an additional fee you can have a guided tour of the historic buildings onsite. I had a wonderful time!

Wonderful venue!! We didn’t realize until we arrived, this is not a “campground“ but a historical village, and you camp on their grounds. The only negative would be that there’s no shower, but that was not a big deal. We went to a play at The Barn Theater onsite - perfect for us theater folk!
We were tempted to leave a bad review so we could have the place to ourselves, but that wouldn’t be fair!! Quiet, beautiful, lots of things to do in the area - what’s not to love?!!

I really enjoyed our stay here, it was the perfect place to try out our new truck bed tent. There was so much wood to collect from the forest to have a fire and enjoy the outdoors, I really got to enjoy the wild life. The outhouse is very cute. Michael was a very nice host and very informative and has great communication. If you’re looking to get away from the “city” with access to everything you need this is just that place for you.

This little hidden gem is perfect for those in southeast Michigan who want that up north feeling—without the long drive or the bears. The site I stayed at was incredibly spacious, and well laid out.
The amenities were thoughtful, with a fire extinguisher right at the pit making it the safest setup I’ve used. The trails were a nice bonus, good for a relaxed walk through the trees. Firewood was plentiful and good quality.
Because it’s not rural, you do occasionally hear traffic in the distance, but it fades into the background. At night, what stands out are the crickets and forest sounds.
Overall, it’s spacious, safe, well-stocked, and tucked away in the trees. I'm already planning my return trip!

The site is really amazing with clusters of refurbished heritage buildings. We felt safe and had access to washroom facilities (no showers) which was very convenient. We highly recommend a stay

Scenic as it gets - lovely place - nice people - way out rural but there’s a small town not far to get supplies - the pool is a nice plus - dog friendly - and a fun glimpse into small farming life with two really decent, nice honest people.
