What a gem! The owner clearly put a lot of thought and effort into this site, and we could not have asked for a better host. Trails to walk, super clean and fully-stocked outhouse, fire pits with more wood around than you could ever need, and enough wildlife to fill a bingo card. We saw deer as we pulled in, and over the course of a weekend spotted a toad, a muskrat, garter snakes, butterflies, bats, and woodpeckers. While it's absolutely woodsy, the property is tucked right around the corner from Stoney Creek beach and some of the best eateries we've seen in a while and just up the road from the store in case you need any last-minute supplies. Overall 10/10 experience, we will be back!

Such a peaceful location in the woods. Loved all the trees and nature. This is the perfect kind of rustic camping for me. The hosts were wonderful. My dog had a great time.

This site already has lots of good reviews that all proved true, so I’ll just add one more thing from my perspective. I went camping here as a solo female camper, which means I’m extra vigilant about my safety. I loved the fact that Michael meets all campers upon arrival, has them sign paperwork, and communicates very quickly. It made me feel much more at ease during my stay.

What a wonderful experience! There some very flat camping spots, a nice fire pit, an outhouse, firewood for sale, and plenty of beautiful trees. I will be back for sure!

We had a great time! The host is extremely helpful and responsive. The campground and outhouse are very clean. It’s challenging but fun to drive on the path back to the campground. Located very close to town so everything is convenient. That being said, you can hear some road noise in the night.

The host, Mike, was very kind. I went winter camping, and it was risky to drive my car to the site, so he generously helped transport my camping gear with his mini truck. The forest was peaceful and quiet, and you can even see deer. I will definitely be back! It’s a safe place as well.

First, I’ll say make sure your vehicle can handle a little bit of backroad driving, but once you get there, the campsite is lovely.
Secluded, relaxing, with easy access to a facility and a great firepit. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful as he got us set up at our site. Not much I can say besides it was a lovely time all around! Thank you for lending us your land for a night!

Beautiful piece of property. It feels like being up north. Great for a cold weather tent camp! A warning to anyone else staying here, the road noise and sirens are very loud but if that doesn’t bother you then this is a great place to stay.

This little patch of heaven is just what anyone needs. Tucked away between two busy towns you feel like you're actually up north. Secluded campsites with all your basic needs (fire pit, chairs, potable water) fire wood bundled for a small fee and a privacy house that includes lanterns and toiletries. The hosts are wonderful people. I had a great conversation with Cori. They have excellent communication as Micheal answered all my questions and provided a map of the area I'd be setting up at. The property has many little trails to venture around during the day. The sites were clean and well kept. A little early morning traffic sounds are unavoidable even a mile away from the main roads but pop in your ear plugs and "poof" your back up north amongst the forest for the a relaxing morning. At night, I was serenaded by a local owl and that was magical. Quiet, secluded and for anyone wanting a quick getaway from the metro area this is the place to visit. Quiet seclusion and yet a 5 minute drive to two different small towns for food or drink. You pair these amenities with the graciousness of the hosts plus the low rental cost and you'll be hooked on becoming a regular here. Thank you, Michael and Cori for offering us all to your property. I can't wait to book here again!

Great property close to hiking and downtown Lake Orion. The two track back to the furthest camp site adds to the sense of seclusion. We will be staying again.

I really enjoyed our stay here, it was the perfect place to try out our new truck bed tent. There was so much wood to collect from the forest to have a fire and enjoy the outdoors, I really got to enjoy the wild life. The outhouse is very cute. Michael was a very nice host and very informative and has great communication. If you’re looking to get away from the “city” with access to everything you need this is just that place for you.

This little hidden gem is perfect for those in southeast Michigan who want that up north feeling—without the long drive or the bears. The site I stayed at was incredibly spacious, and well laid out.
The amenities were thoughtful, with a fire extinguisher right at the pit making it the safest setup I’ve used. The trails were a nice bonus, good for a relaxed walk through the trees. Firewood was plentiful and good quality.
Because it’s not rural, you do occasionally hear traffic in the distance, but it fades into the background. At night, what stands out are the crickets and forest sounds.
Overall, it’s spacious, safe, well-stocked, and tucked away in the trees. I'm already planning my return trip!

Look no further……STAY HERE! Place was awesome and so was the host. Property is beautiful with lots of diff trees. Short drive to beaches if you’re looking to take a dip. Stores close by if you need anything. Little town looked cool too. We’ll be back to further explore. Thank you Michael!

Michael's place is lovely and well-maintained, and makes camping within an easy drive of the city totally achievable. I enjoyed falling asleep to the sounds of spring peepers and marsh birds. The nature area is not massive and there is some road noise so you won't feel like you're deep in the woods away from civilization, but that is a reasonable price to pay for convenience! I was unfortunately eaten alive by mosquitoes (mostly biting through socks/leggings), so make sure to reapply bug spray religiously and wear long/loose clothing if possible.

This is an awesome spot. Each tent site is tucked in its own corner of the woods and is private and cozy. Bathroom was clean and stocked. Lots of good places nearby for food too. Michael was very helpful and a wonderful host.
