Like most folks who’ve been bitten by the water ski bug, I dreamed of having my own lake and when I met my life partner Harald, an elite slalom skier, my search began in earnest. By a combination of good timing and good luck, I was able to make that dream come true and in the spring of 2014 I acquired this land with the hopes of building my dream water ski lake on it. 7 years later, we have a thriving water ski club and are constantly making improvements to the site. We now have decided to add some sites for rent to share this incredible property with others outside the water ski community.
Site #1 is a small cabin that sleeps 3 and site #2 is a small houseboat that has been converted to a bunkie.
Onsite activities include use of a canoe and paddleboard. Use of a kid's swingset and olympic trampoline. Swimming and fishing.

We had a wonderful time staying at Beth’s little oasis! We booked this trip last minute as my husband and I needed a little R&R and this place did not disappoint!
The hottub was so cozy for the two of us, we had a table top little fire going and it was very quiet and peaceful. You have total privacy on the patio, especially at nighttime! You do not feel like you are close to the house or in a shared space at all.
Our dog loved the space also as the area is fenced in, she enjoyed lounging in the snow lol!
The composting toilet was totally fine and easy to use and navigate. We visited in the winter so no running water for the sink or shower, but Beth left us water for washing and that did the trick! We also brought some jugs of water ourselves and we basically winter camped with a cozy bed!
We walked the pier and visited the shops along the strip which was super cute, before heading to Lynn valley trail to explore:)
We played games and ordered pizza and had a great adventure:) We also used the BBQ for a delicious steak dinner the one night.

Beth’s place truly is the perfect serene getaway for anyone looking to escape the city. The peaceful setting made it easy to relax and unwind, and everything was just as we had hoped.
We really enjoyed our time there and would happily recommend this place to others looking for a quiet retreat.
Beth was an amazing host! As soon as she knew we were bringing our dog, she went the extra mile by setting out a cozy bed and a fresh bowl of water.

Weekend Trip to Boho Bungalow in Port Dover
Beth was the best host anyone could ask for! The bungalow was cut clean and comfortable We had amenities for tea coffee and she was even so kind that she shared some drinks with us because the liquor store was closed. She also provided us with a microwave that was not originally included and it did come in very handy. We felt like we bonded immediately. The hot tub was a delight and heated porch area. Beth was kind enough to allow us to use her bathroom for a shower and it was not ackward at all. We had plenty of privacy. I would highly recommend staying her as it was not expensive at all.

Very laid-back host. We really enjoyed the hot tub and the privacy.. Port Dover also had a lot to offer, even though it was a little chilly. It was still really beautiful to walk around, and there were still lots of restaurants and cute little stores to investigate. The sunset at Lake Erie. was beautiful and everyone was very friendly.

The best place to disconnect from the city and connect with nature. We really enjoyed the jacuzzi and the peace felt in Beth's house. She is a super host who helps you with whatever you need and is very attentive to us. She also has our dog.

1 night at Grindstone Creek Farm in Burlington
So lovely! Amber, husband and all staff were incredible, welcoming and hospitable. We loved staying right with the animals and enjoyed exploring and interacting with the animals independently as well as being invited to feed the animals apples & even bottle feed the babies (I assume we got lucky and this isn't always an offer).
The living space is also wonderful.
Comfortable, clean and stocked with all that you need.
Would recommend this to anyone and stay again anytime!

Weekend Trip to Boho Bungalow in Port Dover
I loved every minute of this stay it was so fresh and so clean the swing in the room was the centre piece such a nice addition to the space and the hot tub was exactly what we needed to relax on the stars ....only have such amazing things to say about this booking ✨️ we will be back again trust me I encourage anyone that needs time aways to Check this booking out you will not be disappointed that's for sure

Pro:
- nice host
- electricity as well as full fridge.
- Porta potty was a flush type so the smell was minimal
- watch water skiing from front of cabin and there is nice shade there in the evening
- there is a full screen sitting area with lawn furniture. great for keeping bugs off.
- Fairly quiet site as long as water ski was not taking place
- you can drive up to the Cabin
- The pond is very close to main road to go into town. About 20min away from costo and bass pro shop.
Con:
-Fridge doors opened towards the wall making fridge access extremely limited
- Cabin is tiny. when the couch is pulled out into a bed there is maybe 4 spots you can stand.
- Cabin is "roughing it" I would have brought a cleaner and wipes to give it a quick wipe down before use.
- No walking trails on property
- Porta potty is a little ways away so be prepared to walk if you need the bathroom.
- There is no latch on the Cabin door. either you lock it from the inside or the outside. it makes it hard if one person wants to nap in the afternoon.

Our stay at Grindstone Creek Farm was absolutely wonderful! The property is peaceful, beautifully kept, and offers a true countryside escape while still being close to Burlington. The accommodations were spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully prepared for guests.
The hosts were incredibly welcoming, made everything easy from check-in to check-out.
If you’re looking for a quiet getaway surrounded by nature, this farm is a gem. We’d happily return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Wonderful houseboat retreat!
This is a perfect spot for a peaceful getaway. The view is absolutely stunning --sitting by the water in the morning or evening is pure joy. 🌅✨
The houseboat itself is very clean, cozy, and thoughtfully arranged. It has everything you need: fridge, freezer, stove,light, dishes, and A/C. A frying pan and at least one blanket would be nice additions, but overall, the space is well-equipped.
The outside area is just as lovely — quiet, private, and ideal for enjoying coffee or relaxing by the fire🥰
The sofa looks so nice, but unfortunately, it’s very uncomfortable for sleeping--even though we brought extra mattress
Overall, this place has a special charm. Great views, privacy, and thoughtful touches --we will definitely come back again! 💛

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend and we absolutely loved it!!! If you want to get away somewhere where you don't see many people, this is the place to go! Although they waterside, it was quite quiet. We brought a 2 person floatie and sat in the water with that while watching the boat go by. We would 100% stay here again. Only criticism is that the porta potty is a trek away and the bbq was quite dirty so we didn't use it. We loved it there and the host was very quick to reply to my messages. I recommend this place 100%!!!

T's Pond was the perfect place for us to stop on our trip to Niagara Falls! We enjoyed our time there and had fun swimming and watching a few skiiers on the lake. I did what a few other Hipcampers recommended and put our sleeping pad for tent camping on the pull-out couch. It was super comfortable that way. The only concerns I had was that the fridge and toaster oven weren't cleaned out from previous Hipcampers. Also, make sure any food you put in the fridge is in sealed containers! Everything I had in sealed containers was fine, but anything outside of sealed containers ended up with a really weird taste and had to be thrown out.
Overall I would say it was a good experience and I'd be happy to go back :)

Weekend Trip to T's Pond
We really enjoyed our time at the little houseboat. The site is really private and had everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting by the fire, using the BBQ, the paddleboard and generally just chilling out by the water. The houseboat itself is lovely and cozy.
Teresa is an excellent host and was available to answer and questions we had.
Overall it's a great way to spend some time by the water and get out of the city. Would highly recommend.
