We’re Lily, Wesley and Danielle, your hosts at Cabin Glory. We're a family of joyful and curious nature lovers. We started this journey with Cabin Glory on a whim, driven by a deep desire to spend more time experiencing the wild around us. Lily was seeking out a new project, and Danielle was embarking on her handy-woman career. Luckily, Wes and his dad are quite handy already and were ready to tackle the enormous dream of renovating our cabin. We're proud to share this space with you, that we have created with love, sweat, and so, so many mosquito bites. As you rest or adventure here, our wish is that you can connect with yourself, the company you keep, and the earth around you. There's nothing quite like hearing the symphony of rustling leaves as the wind passes by, being carried by the gentle movement of the river, or simply in awe of the magnificent horizon. Welcome to Cabin Glory. We’re so glad you're here! Learn more about this land: Cabin Glory is a place intended for connection. Slow down, take a breath, and find what it is that you’ve been missing. Whether it’s a sense of adventure searching for wild animals on a winter hike, a slow morning with a book, a late night with the stars, or stories over a campfire - you’re sure to find it here. Situated on 18 acres, available to our guests we have our main cabin, a dining gazebo, and a riverside gazebo. The area is well treed in for privacy and a true feeling of an escape. Guests can access hours of private hiking trails along the river and through the forest. An open area next to the cabin is available for lounging and games as well as viewing of the night sky with no light pollution. Located an approximate 200ft from the York River, our 700 sqft cabin features vaulted ceilings with ample amounts of sunlight for a cozy yet airy feel. It is fully winterized with baseboard heaters and a wood stove.

Weekend Trip to 29-Acre Artistic Forest Retreat

Natalie and Seth's barn was overall a great experience! We enjoyed all the extras that were provided to us: entertainment system, well stocked kitchen, etc. The art pieces were also a nice addition too. We all slept great and warm. Our only complaint would be that the toilet smell was a little difficult to tame for us. The sawdust helped a bit but still had a faint smell in the downstairs living space so we had to vent out the barn every few hours to get some fresh air. Hope to come back soon! 1 night at Dragonfly Ridge Rescue Farm

We had again an amazing experience at Sharrons. This was our second time staying here and i believe now this is going be every year. My 5 yr old loved every single moment here especially the beautiful animals. She fed them, played with them and even held a bunny. It was a dream come true for her. She just didnot want to leave and even us !. Thank you Sharron for having us and letting us enjoy and be a part of your farm stay.

Weekend Trip to Algonquin Lakeview Glamping Dome

We absolutely loved our stay at Derrick and Rachel's place! It was everything we dreamed of. The place is private, quiet and you are able to fully relax here. The Dome is beautiful, set high with gorgeous lake views. It is clean, extremely comfortable and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. They have every amenity you require, and excellent seating areas outside (around the fire, and at the dock). The available kayak, canoe and paddleboards allows you to fully enjoy the property. The sauna/shower was such a nice touch and a great way to unwind at the end of the day. If you are looking for a hidden gem, slice or paradise, or the perfect getaway this is your place! Rachel was very responsive and helpful. We highly recommend.

Derrick and Rachel's place is absolutely incredible! Such a great escape from the city! Its peaceful but also has options for activites like canoeing and swimming and games! They have everything you can think of from lighters to lamps! We will definately be coming back to stay!

We, three moms looking for a little escape, couldn’t have picked a more perfect spot for our fall weekend. From the moment we arrived, everything about this place felt quietly magical. The setting is absolutely beautiful—peaceful, natural, restorative. The rustle of autumn leaves, crisp fresh air, and unspoiled surroundings made it easy to slow down and breathe. It’s rare to find somewhere so serene, where you can truly unwind. The host was thoughtful and attentive in all the right ways. The tent was comfortable and well-prepared; everything was clean, cared for, and exactly what we needed. The out houses were immaculate—so well kept that they felt more like a pleasant surprise than an afterthought. We left feeling refreshed, reconnected, and inspired. Thank you for the kindness, the care, and the chance to rest in such a lovely place. We very much hope to return!

We really enjoyed camping on Pennys land! The short drive to the cabin was beautiful! The trees really gave us privacy, which we loved :) The cabin was so cozy and clean, and the provided bbq, burner and propane was very convenient! Great experience!!!

Weekend Trip to Camp Rose Island

Sarah’s arrival instructions were perfect (our GPS definitely said we arrived before we arrived). We ended up being able to drive all the way in to our site in our Corolla, there was only one rock that stuck out a bit but Sarah warned us about it. The site itself was secluded and quiet, a good distance away from the next closest site. The lake was lovely, the land is lovely, Sarah is lovely; all around a lovely experience 💚

We loved our little retreat! The cabin was cozy and had everything you needed. Really appreciated the fridge. Upon arrival, they were so kind and showed us around. The bed was actually so comfortable (we did not want to get up). Our dog loved it! Cute little paths to explore.

What an absolute treasure this place is! Beautifully appointed, completely serene and so peaceful! We loved our stay and thankfully the weather was perfect! Only thing I would note is we would’ve liked to be notified that the sauna and shower are located up by the main cottage near the road but other than that just perfect!

3 nights at Camp Rose Island

Staying at the Forest Site was a top notch experience! Sarah and Will were excellent hosts. Sarah met our car at the road when we arrived and showed us to our site so there were no issues at all in finding the campsite. The cooking area was so nice to have, especially since there was a fire ban and we couldn’t cook over the fire pit. The supplied tent was very roomy and comfortable and we also had plenty of space to pitch other tents. The Forest Site felt very isolated and private from the other sites. The shared beach area and swim dock were great and located on a beautiful private lake. Highly recommend and I hope to stay here again!

We had such a lovely time here! It was so quiet, and surrounded by beautiful ravens. There was even one that kept saying hello! The cabin was clean and not buggy. The outhouse was well maintained. They even provide a tent area outside the cabin so we could eat without getting attacked by bees. Such a lovely property, very close by some beaches, small towns and really cool antique shops! The hosts were so warm and friendly. I think our only suggestion would be to bring a foam mattress for the loft bed, as it's a very thin matt to sleep on. We're not in our 20s anymore, and definitely needed a thicker bed! Would definitely recommend this rental. It's quiet, private, relaxing and exactly what we needed. 5/5!
