Welcome to Laurenwood Farm! New for 2024: Due to health reasons the farm is fallow this season. It is still a quiet, peaceful escape to the country and you can enjoy all of the amenities but there will be no veggie boxes this season and there are fewer animals to visit. We do have some items available such as honey and syrup. The farm is a 100-acre working livestock and organic mixed produce farm with picturesque views, miles of wooded trails, and a beautiful little fish pond. Fresh organic veggies and farm-fresh eggs are available seasonally. Guests are welcome to wander the trails, check out the pond and gardens, and have a guided tour to experience meeting the animals. Weekend Trip to Forest Cabin

The forest cabin was everything I’d hope for and more. I wanted a place to get away and reconnect with nature and that’s exactly what I got out of my stay. I went for hikes through the property, got to play with the sheep and the dogs! And like others have said in their reviews, by far the best outhouse I’ve ever soon! I would 100% recommend staying here! I’ll be back to check it out in the spring or summer!

2 nights at Forest Cabin

Everdale is a special place! The straw cabin is simple, comfortable and so quiet! I felt safe as a person going there solo and walked their well loved and cared for land extensively. It was an education as well in that they have a regenerative farm. Being a long time gardener myself, it was interesting to read the sign posts on my walk explaining different aspects of regenerative farming and the lands ecology. I'll definitely come back and in the colder months, be sure you're comfortable keeping the woodstove going, you may need to split wood, etc. Also, being solar powered, if it's a cloudy day, the lights may go off early. I was glad I brought a battery operated lamp. Great place, great feeling there.!

Jake was a great host! He was friendly and showed us around the chalet when we first arrived. The chalet was very well maintained with all the basic amenities needed for glamping. 3 nights at Chapelwood Chalet

We had the best time here! Jake met us on arrival to show us a few things and was so kind in giving us from fresh garlic he had grown and some home made strawberry jam (which was incredible)! The chalet its self did not disappoint it was so well equipped and clean! So many times we have gone places and felt like they were cleaner when we left than upon arrival so this was amazing! The shower was 10/10 and a nice treat it worked perfectly. This chalet really has it all, peace and quiet, beautiful trails and views, comfy bed, space inside and dog friendly! Jake was so lovely and attentive and really makes you feel at home, you can tell the care he has for this space everywhere you look. We are already planning when we can come back up again as this will be a repeat spot we come to! Thanks for sharing your slice of heaven with us and the pups!

This was a perfect little getaway for us! Jake’s chalet is a wonderful off grid disconnect with some luxuries. We had a great time here not thinking about the daily headaches and just being able to explore the vast forests and stunning river! Jake was very accommodating with anything we needed and the chalet was set up with extras that saved us while cooking! We saw deer, woodpeckers etc. also fishing would be amazing here! Definitely would recommend this place.

We had a wonderful stay at Amber’s cabin! The location was peaceful and beautiful, and the cabin itself was cozy and comfortable. Amber was such a thoughtful and kind host. Her friendly dog made us feel right at home, and her lovely boys brought so much warmth to our stay. We also truly appreciated the fresh eggs she brought us in the morning. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing and welcoming getaway!

Weekend Trip to Forest Bunkie on Bruce Trail

Looking to disconnect to reconnect? To star-gaze, watch butterflies and hawks, discover trilliums, trout lilies on a fern-shrouded hillside? This bunkie is a private cocoon nestled at the top of a hill, one minute walk from the Bruce Trail. The cozy bed, living space and welcoming cookies immediately reminded us why we were there: to slow down, breathe deeply, and take in the view. If you cherish the quiet places, love to linger in the forest, this is the perfect spot. Hosts Twila and Gren are welcoming, knowledgable and eager to share their love for this space. And if you want to further indulge in a guided Forest Bathing walk, Twila offers that too! It is a great way to really get to know this precious place, and to really slow down. We truly felt we had sheltered in an emerald nest. The only precaution is that there are stairs to access this bunkie—it would be challenging for those with limited mobility.
