Lanthorn is situated just north of Wakefield Quebec surrounded by forest, creeks, waterfalls, and hikes with views of the surrounding area. Our farm grows willow for basketry and living structures. We can also arrange to teach a weaving class for a fee. To learn more about our farm, you can visit Lanthorn.ca. On the property, there is also a large pottery studio which offers classes that you can book in advance of your visit. To do so, you can visit muraiceramique.com for details. We are home to a deer refuge founded in partnership with the Humane Society Canada which cares for a herd of sika deer rescued from a zoo closure. We also raise a small number of chicken, and sheep.

I built this cabin to be a romantic, cozy off-grid getaway for humans , but if most of our guests are being honest, the dogs are the ones having the best time. There’s a cozy queen bed with fresh linens and a down duvet. A covered deck with handcrafted rocking chairs for sunset views. A private fire area below for campfires and stargazing. LED lighting, a Bluetooth speaker, a Jackery battery bank, clean well water, lanterns, an outdoor shower, and a clean outhouse. I’ll even haul your gear in by ATV so you can settle in without the hassle. And after all that work, most guests still seem to agree on the real highlight: Watching their dogs absolutely lose their minds with happiness. More than anything, this place has become a favourite for people who want to give their dogs the kind of freedom they rarely get anywhere else. Most of our guests tell us over and over, that their favourite part is watching their best friends make their own decisions, run the trails, sniff everything, chase chipmunks, explore the forest, and basically have the time of their lives. Of course, the humans tend to enjoy themselves too. The cabin sits on a west-facing cliff on our private 164-acre property. Once you arrive, you’ll have the feeling of having the whole place to yourselves. The trails, the forest, the quiet, the sunsets, it all feels wonderfully removed from the usual noise. In summer, the forest is lush, green, and full of life. The days are warm, the trails are shaded, and evenings at the cliff often bring a breeze and a beautiful sunset. For dogs, there’s endless space to explore. For people, it’s a chance to unplug, slow down, and enjoy a kind of peace that’s getting harder to find. You’ll have access to 10 km of private trails through forest, ridgelines, and lakeshore. Gorgeous, serene 38 acres of pristine woodlands, trails and meadows. Our property is named after our large White Dog don’t worry all our animals are friendly. Enjoy the sounds and sights of nature. Take a stroll down our personal trails, or bring your four-wheelers/bikes and enjoy the 1000s of kilometres of trails that begin after our driveway. Piles of rocks throughout the bush indicate that this land once was farmed. A creek runs through the property with a beaver pond. The land has a main trail that goes right through to the back of the property. The land is a mixed forest with maple, pine, hemlock, birch and cedar. The land is rolling and flat with good walking trails. Great hiking, cross country skiing or biking trails. Only 50 minutes to Kanata, 30 minutes to Perth, Almonte or Carleton Place, and for downhill skiing only 30 minutes to Calabogie. Many lakes in the area for fishing, swimming and boating. Your campsite and cabin(s) are nestled a half-km from our home, along a driveable path to the site, as long as the road is clear of ice and snow. You will have total privacy for you and your guests and yours will be the only rental while you are here! There is a main cabin that is set up for two people that comes with your rental. There is also tons of mowed space for other guests to camp, included in the initial booking price, or, if they choose, they can rent our sleep cabin that has room for up to 7 more to sleep in a bed in a cozy cabin. My partner and I stayed at the House of Leo and it was a perfect getaway. The cabin is beautiful and so cozy, and the hosts were kind and responsive from start to finish. Can't beat this view! Very rustic and secluded. Everything provided was in great working order. Mike the host was super helpful and a pleasure to chat with. Made everything super easy and comfortable. Would recommend to anyone who can handle walking up a couple hills. Only thing we wish we did different was book a couple more days!

We really enjoyed our time at Agape Gardens. Everything was super clean in the cabin. The House of Leo was super cute and extremly private. We choose Agape Gardens for the close proximity to the luskville trails and would absolutely stay again. We also chose the firewood bundle which I high recommend, there was plenty of wood, kindling and paper for a 3 hour large fire for one night and having it right there upon arrival was so convenient. We arrived late and left early for the trails but there were so many amenities that I am already looking forward to my next stay. Thank you Jennie!

Cabin #1 at White Wolf is a beautiful setup. All the little touches well thought out. It was nice having power to charge devices. The steps and bed height worked well for my sister's minor mobility challenges. We would have liked to stay longer.

I can’t begin to explain how beautiful Agape Gardens are with carefully thought out landscaping , privacy, tranquility and excellent sites for camping or cabin stays. The warmth and generosity of Jennie and Jeremy and their delightful homestead made this stay all the more memorable. The wild spa with wood fired sauna and hot tub was fantastic!! I highly recommend a stay at Agape Gardens because the beauty and personal renewal it offers in a stunning setting is worth everything. A place to revisit for sure!!

2 nights at Organic Farm Camping & Bunkie

Our third visit. Das Bunkhouse remains our favorite place. Unfortunate the trails were not cleared it seemed for hiking/treking. They have such beautiful property to explore....We miss Mother Oak. Minor bout with an ant infestation, but we bought traps and delt with it. Checked all our luggage at home and were were clear. As usual, kitchen and bathroom area, sleep area are great and very well set up. Water, wood, paper, toilet paper provided. Lanters provided (bring your own AA batteries) Some dishes need washing from previous guests, but overall clean. We didn't get to use the outdoor showers this year, (so much rain anyway) but they have been greatly renovated and look beautiful, nice shower heads, cedar wood. I wish we could have tried them. We got to chat with our host Mark about heirloom chickens, new goats in the family, and previous farm critters my daughter remember over the years. Rain did not wash away our spirits here! This was our first Hipcamper experience, and I honestly don’t think it could have been any better. Mike was an incredible host from start to finish. He made sure we had everything we needed, answered every question quickly, and genuinely cared that we had a great stay. You can tell he takes a lot of pride in the experience he creates. The property itself is absolutely beautiful. The land is incredibly well maintained, peaceful, and feels like a little hidden paradise. The cabin was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully cared for. Everything was exactly as described, if not better. The hiking trails were another highlight. They’re well marked, easy to follow, and take you through some stunning scenery. The hike to the private lake was especially memorable. Arriving there felt like discovering a secret little oasis—quiet, idyllic, and completely worth the walk. If you’re considering staying here, don’t hesitate. This was an absolutely perfect first Hipcamp experience, and it’s set the bar incredibly high. We’ll definitely be back.
