Only a 2-minute walk to the beach, small neighbourhood park, boat launch and fishing. Three bedroom cottage wtih bunk room that's great for kids and two full bathrooms (one just renovated!) Open concept living room, great to cozy up and watch a movie. Fully equiped kitchen with everything you need to cook for a family, and a dining room or deck with table for meals. Beautiful wrap around deck with seating and view of backyard and firepit. Wood and kindling provided for fire pit. BBQ on the deck for cook outs. 15 min drive into either Port Elgin or Kindcardine for anything you could need.

Winter has added costs due to snow plow. Snow plow cost varies from $50 - $250 depending on how much snow there is. The laneway is 1000 meters long. 1 kilometre. If the snow plow can't get in, you will be required to hike in through the snow. Potentially, a neighbour can be hired with his snowmobile. No guarantees. All wheel drive and winter tires is strongly advised. Unique and secluded, this cabin is a true gem in the heart of nature. It features 3 bedrooms, a dining area, kitchen, bathroom, and woodstove. We also have high-speed wifi on site! The cabin is perfect for a family looking to get away from it all. You will be able to enjoy all that nature has to offer from the cabin's central location. Hiking trails, beaches, wildlife, and snowshoeing are just a few of the activities located nearby. NOT SUITED FOR LARGE GROUPS. In the winter, you will be able to go snowshoeing or cross-country skiing and enjoy a cozy evening reading by the woodstove. You will also be able to enjoy all the beauty of nature during the summer months with hiking trails, beaches, kayaking, and more! The cabin is located along the Saugeen River, just north of 700 acres of managed trails in Bruce County, Ontario. Our property is 85-acres (40 acres is farmed). Please note, the people limit for the listing is 6 people. ***PACK IN, PACK OUT. Guests must take all garbage with them when they leave. Any trash left will result in a $50 charge per bag. Seriously. Beautiful location. We enjoyed staying at Lana's cottage. Close to a beach access and some beautiful provincial parks. Enjoyed that everything we needed was there. Loved the fires in the back yard. Great place to make special memories with our friends and family!

Weekend Trip to Maitland River Campground

I’ve have come to Cardinals Nest twice and both times I have loved it. The cabin is beautiful and spacious, and hosts have all basic amenities you need in it. They also have started adding water jugs to the cabin which was super helpful. There is a nice stream for puppers to play in and a ton of room to roam/ hike. Cabins are spread out so you don’t feel cramped. Very highly suggest !

Weekend Trip to Cozy Lake Huron Cottage

Our 3 night stay at the cottage was very peaceful and relaxing, just what we needed. Our adult children and their spouses also joined us to make it a special birthday for their mother. Our dogs also got to enjoy the walks and outdoors. The water was low, so we only walked there once, but very wonderful Lake Huron sunsets. Twenty 20 minute drive to Kincardine to enjoy a dip in the water. Lana’s Cottage had everything we needed just bring your food, drinks and enjoy. Thank you for sharing your cottage with us.
