Now we welcome visitors who are looking for a casual, rustic, laid back experience with nature in a simple, peaceful setting.
Nature is allowed to thrive on our property, and the entire property is forested and wild. The majority of our campsites are shaded under a verdant and lush canopy. Our private beach and small lake welcome you for a swim.
All we ask of our visitors is: that whatever you bring in you take home with you, that you leave your campsite and the property the way you found it, and the only thing you take from here are pictures and happy memories.
All of our campsites are off-grid, un-serviced, drive-in camping. Campfire wood and recycling facilities are available on site. Maintained outhouses are available throughout the property. There is no potable water on the property so please bring your own drinking and cooking water.
Children under 12 can camp for free. When booking a campsite please only include any guests over 12 years of age in your guest count. Children under 12 do not need to be included in your booking.
Contact us to inquire about large group and event rates. We host LARPing weekends twice a month. We also have a limited number of seasonal sites available from June to September.
I love this property and all the people who visit us, many have become extended family and for this I am grateful. There is nothing nicer than to have people drop by and spend a couple of hours, a day or a weekend, sometime when I get real lucky it's for a longer period of time :-)

The Domaine de la Templerie is first and foremost a Table champêtre (farm to table). To have a rustic table, a good majority of the products served in the restaurant must come from the farm. This is why you will find on site a farm with wild boars, geese, ducks, guinea fowl, pheasants, capons, turkeys and many other animals! Our site dates going back to 1832 when the Scottish settler Mr. Peter McArthur came to Dewittville to build and operate a grist mill, we Réal and Johanne purchased the beautiful property in 2008 as a retirement project and to express ourselves through arts, true custom woodworking and cabinetry which we do on the 3rd floor of our old mill.
The site boasts four sites: Riverfront 1, Riverside 2, Bayside 3, Bayfront 4, all of which overlook the tranquil and lovely Chateauguay River.
"And for a limited time site (Paradis d'artistes V.I.P Riverview) that is completely private see detail on this site or call for special question."
We have a small white sandy beach that access to the old dam to provide our guest access to the river with a never-ending melody of peaceful water.
While visiting, you can relax, go fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, or canoeing upstream and downstream, or you can bicycle on beautiful country paved roads, horse back ridding, visit artisans, orchards, chocolate factory, bakery, vineyards, Brewery, fresh fruit and vegetable grower, multiple farms and even eat in a few great eatery.

Eileen was a wonderful host and the campground was magical. We went in fall during peak colors. Dog friendly as well :) Would 100% go back!

We had a great time camping on Cynthia’s land! She was very accommodating and kind. Electricity, water and firewood was available at the site. Although we loved the campsite, we were a party of 5 and each site is narrow with the next site right beside, thankfully there were no other campers in the site next to us because we wouldn’t have had enough space if there were. For a party of 2, or maybe even 4, the spot would be perfect! Or if you were fortunate like us to have an empty site beside yours. There were, however, other campers 2 lots over and they were playing music, as were we, and we didn’t interfere with each other. That is to say, noise traveling is not an issue and campers can be comfortable in their site without bothering others.
Thank you for having us, we would definitely come back!

Very peaceful and pretty place to camp for the night. Stephan is very helpful and kind, and a very generous host. His land/yard is beautiful, and was a wonderful place to wake up to. Happy to have found it :)

Great for a stop-over to sleep on my drive from Toronto to the Maritmes. Stephan was kind and welcoming. Location without address could be a bit confusing but the Google coordinates were exactly correct — just look for the bus camper parked in the drive.

We just needed a place to stay the night on our road trip out east and this was perfect. We used the coordinates to find the place and it took us straight there, no issues locating it, even in the dark. Lots of space to exercise your dog if needed. Stephan was very responsive and helpful! Just sad we didn’t see the pig! We would stay again.

Railroad is very close but never heard the train go by.
Deer in camp site areas every this am.
Campsites are clean and tidy

We went tent camping and picked out a site from a lovely selection, so much space and privacy which we really appreciated. Eileen was very welcoming and kind. This is a great spot to wind down in nature and spend quality time with loved ones. The beach is nice and spacious. I will say if you are looking for a large clear water lake to swim in this may not be the best candidate but Wispering Pines makes up for it in other ways. Happy camping:)

This was an excellent campsite for me though a little hard to find (needs to publish the street address). Stephan was an excellent host who came out to find me as I tried to locate his property. I could sometimes hear trains at night bit at least they did not sound their whistles.

Eileen is such a very sweet lady all throughout our stay. We stayed for 3 nights with 2 kids and they both loved it. There are tons to do to keep your kids busy. There is the playground and the small pond/ lake.
You get to choose your own campsite. Not all of them has picnic tables. It's private and there's lots of trees for some shade.
The campground is very rustic and is a nice way to get in touch with nature.
When I told Eileen that one of my kids got stung by a 🐝, she immediately gathered leaves for remedy and offered other solutions for relief. She's always around and available when you need help. She even lent us a booster cable for the car, lol.
All in all, we love Eileen's land and we are planning to come back. My only comment are the outhouses that I think need some improvements. They are dispersed around the campground so whichever site you choose, outhouses are just around the corner.

Beautiful wooded space with an amazing friendly host !
We had a great weekend and wonderful time a very calm and quiet camp ground with great friendly neighbour's. The campsites are clean and very naturesque . Its a very woodsie and natural vibe . I would definitely recommend if you want to get away from city life and just take it easy around a fire .
Quite a few spots that are great for star gazing and catching the moon , we had a great time and plan to go back !
Not necessarily the most entertaining for teens so maybe plan some activities to bring and help keep entertained , though there is a cute little man made beach and a small parc for younger kids .
