For your comfort, the space has both heating and air conditioning. On nice evenings, you can enjoy a fire in the fire pit or head down to a private deck at the bottom of the hill. Check-in is easy with a coded door lock. I live in the main house with my two cats, and while I’ll give you complete privacy, I’m always available to answer questions or share local recommendations. Beth was the best host anyone could ask for! The bungalow was cut clean and comfortable We had amenities for tea coffee and she was even so kind that she shared some drinks with us because the liquor store was closed. She also provided us with a microwave that was not originally included and it did come in very handy. We felt like we bonded immediately. The hot tub was a delight and heated porch area. Beth was kind enough to allow us to use her bathroom for a shower and it was not ackward at all. We had plenty of privacy. I would highly recommend staying her as it was not expensive at all.

My boyfriend and I absolutely adored Ben’s cabin. It was so beautiful and we had the best time. The host has went above and beyond to give us guests a great experience when staying here. We were just so amazed by the property. And the touch of Christmas was the cherry on top. We plan on coming back at least once a year. We especially loved the seclusion, peace and quiet, and being right in nature in a luxurious cabin. This is the absolute best place for a relaxing trip. It definitely exceeded our expectations. And Ben is a very friendly and attentive host, and responds quick with any questions or concerns.

We loved the cabin. It was beautifully decorated and clean. We didn’t build a fire because of rain but we certainly enjoyed the hot tub surrounded by all the beautiful colours and falling leaves. Ben was a great communicator. We will be back :)

We went to the place for our first camp with my four-year-old daughter over the Thanksgiving weekend. It was so calm and peaceful. My kid loved the place and the trailer. We enjoyed the campfire, hammock and nature. Chris was so helpful and considerate.

Very laid-back host. We really enjoyed the hot tub and the privacy.. Port Dover also had a lot to offer, even though it was a little chilly. It was still really beautiful to walk around, and there were still lots of restaurants and cute little stores to investigate. The sunset at Lake Erie. was beautiful and everyone was very friendly.

Fantastic little well-equipped bunkie with excellent privacy on a quiet and spacious lot! Chris and Denise were wonderful and very easygoing hosts who ensured our group had what we needed and gave us a quick tour of the site before giving us free range for the duration of our stay. The shop has an impressive array of trailers onsite to gander at while there, and the shop building bathroom was a nice luxury to have for group camping. Loved our time there, a very unique spot to spend some time.

The Love Shack was super cozy and the hosts, Marilyn and Jim, were extremely welcoming and friendly. The Love Shack had everything we could possibly need, pretty much all we needed to do was pack our clothes and food. Upon arrival, we met with Marilyn and her fuzzy little friend, Maggie (she’s such a playful cutie). Marilyn shared with us some vegetables from her beautiful garden and also had a fireplace put it in for our stay (which we were extremely grateful for) as the place was getting a bit chillier now. And Jim lit us a lovely fire to enjoy in the night so we can keep warm while enjoying the quiet under the stars. Overall, the entire stay from beginning to end was amazing and we would absolutely be going again!

An exceptional stay with outstanding hosts. The off-leash policy was a highlight, and the resident dogs were friendly and well-behaved. Hicks Haven was everything we hoped for and more. Jim and Marilyn are the kind of hosts who make you feel instantly welcome — warm, generous, and full of local knowledge. Jim kindly stocked our firepit with wood each evening, and Marilyn even shared fresh produce from her garden, which was such a lovely touch. The trailer itself was impressively well-stocked — cooking utensils, coffee, sugar, and all the essentials were thoughtfully provided, making it easy to settle in and feel at home. We were especially grateful for the air conditioning during a heatwave, and the projector was a total bonus — perfect for cozy movie nights inside when the rain rolled in. One night, with Jim’s help, we even managed to set up the projector by the fire for an unforgettable outdoor movie experience under the stars. They gave us great recommendations for nearby spots to explore, and the location is ideal — just a short 10-minute drive to the Provincial Park beach, with the park pass included! The off-leash dog area at the beach was a highlight for my little guy, who had the time of his life running free. If you're looking for a peaceful, well-cared-for spot with thoughtful hosts and all the comforts of home, Hicks Haven is a fantastic choice. We’ll definitely be back!

I had a great time staying in this little trailer. It’s a cozy setup with just enough space to feel comfortable, and it’s located on a beautiful open property right next to the forest, perfect for a quiet getaway. There’s bathroom access close by and a firepit just a short walk away, which made the evenings extra relaxing. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a peaceful spot with a bit of retro charm.

We had an amazing day here. The trailer was cozy and cool, which is great with the summer heat. It was also very clean and neat when we arrived. The beach is only a few minutes away and we were allowed to borrow a Parks Pass which meant we could visit for which was great! Both of our hosts were very friendly and pleasant to talk to, and when we arrived Marilyn was there to greet us and show us around the property. Overall it was a great experience and somewhere that we would love to visit again.
