My husband and I had a fantastic time at the chalet. Our first night in NV at Porter's land was a thrilling adventure in nature, with the delightful chorus of birds. I even had a refreshing dip in the lake, and we were up before sunrise to witness the stunning sight of the sun rising over the misty lake. It was an exhilarating experience in Porter's land, and we're already counting down the days until our next visit!

This was my first attempt at camping out with my own tent while roadtripping to Nova Scotia. It was a good experience!
Shower and toilet was available, and it was a regular flush, surprisingly. Unfortunetaly for my 3-person tent, the nails cannot go through the wooden platform, so I installed it on the side.
If you're Glamping or using the already available tents on-site, it might be a better experience due to bugs, since this has 2 ponds around. Overall, for a first time, I was satisfied!
I just hope that the "Bois Road" that takes you to there ends up soon being paved, because that is one dusty unpaved road. At least the site is distant from it, so it's no problem!

Brian was an excellent host by being very responsive, helpful and generous! The camp site was private and well equipt for all one needs. I appreciated the power in the outhouse with an outlet so I could charge up my phone!
The evening bird songs were so soothing and my son loved wandering around finding wild berries.
I highly reccomend camping on Brians land if you like quiet, privacy and a host who is attentive 😊

Beautiful campground. Clean bathrooms and washrooms. My son enjoyed the gaming room and made some friends along the way. I definitely will remommend this camping ground. We will be back.

1 night at Porters Peak
Beautiful place and location! Had lots of nice amenities but consider bringing a few cozy lamps or string lights because the lights provided are not enough. Also note there is no electricity, which we did not realize. Get there while it’s still light out as it’s a bit confusing depending on which cabin you’re in.

I absolutely loved staying at Will’s riverside campsite! The setup was beautiful and thoughtfully laid out, with a cozy tent, comfy bedding, and even string lights that made the evenings magical. The location was peaceful and right by the river, offering the perfect blend of nature and relaxation,l. And we loved sitting by the fire pit at night, listening to the sounds of the water. Will was super friendly and quick to respond. This is the perfect spot if you’re looking for a peaceful, off-the-grid glamping experience. Highly recommend!

2 nights at The Ship Wreck
We absolutely enjoyed our stay ! We stayed 2 nights but could have stayed a whole 2 weeks. It was so peaceful and full of unique art all around - so fun to explore! Bryan has many pleasant seating areas, hammock area and fire pits along the land that were really nice reading or relaxing nooks. (Again: wish I could have stayed longer ! ☺️) The Shipwreck cabin is equipped with many books and games for every age and interests - a real treat to go through. Even if night outside temps were a bit cold (-8 to -10 degrees), the unique rocket mass heater kept us comfortably warm. The outdoor kitchen was well equipped , pizza oven was SO MUCH fun!
We will certainly be back in the warmer months to enjoy the lake and outdoor shower. Great place for family getaways too - bringing the grandkids and dog next time.
